Steelers -Eagles game thread.

This is a solid horrible ******* team on both sides of the ball. It's a dumpster fire.

They have built absolutely nothing. The offense is set up for failure. Pretty ******* cute.

Hopefully the owner gets his head out of his *** and does what needs to be done with this shitshow.

Revenue sharing: Mike Tomlin's best friend.........

Sure he will but he will also be ready for the speed of the NFL he will have made his mistakes. Not sure what you don’t understand? But I am not surprised based on other forums.
I understand, I’m just not buying into it like your are. Much like the conspiracy theories on other forums.

Oh there were plenty who were (on the KP8 bandwagon). Where are they now?
I was not a fan of the pick, but didnt hate it. I dont think Mitch should have been benched, but here we are. I dont know if i would even call this valuale learning experiencec for pickett. I think kenny can be good, but ALOT has to change that is out of his control

Any QB is set up to fail in this offense. Romo hinted at that several times while not outright calling out Canada. It must be glaring on film that Romo felt the need to make comments on the scheme multiple times.

I was not on board with Pickett. I felt he was a good game manager QB but not a great talent. But they did draft him and it's too early to call him a bust. What do you do if you end up with a top 5 pick and a possible franchise QB is on the board? You have to have that discussion.

How many teams would want Tomlin right now?
I understand the question, but I hear NFL pundits talk about how Tomlin is a top 5 coach in the NFL and if he were to be let go, he would have a job in a day or two. I dont get it, but that is what folks say.

I think a huge indictment of Shades' lack of success is that NO assistant coach that he has had has been hired away as a head coach. There is not Mike Tomlin coaching tree. And if he was all that good, after 50 11 years of coaching PIT, one would think he would have several assistants that were hired away to bring that "standard is the standard" mentality to another organization. LOL

Actually Slash.....I think you’re wrong. He would be hired by some team instantly. When I listen to the outside media talk about him I wonder what the **** they’re talking about. It’s us guys and gals who watch every down of every game for the last who knows how long that see what’s truly going on.

Even on this site, there are a few people who’s opinion I respect that still Stick up for him no matter what. I just don’t get it. And haven’t for a long time.

I still wouldnt draft another QB. There will almost always be good QBs coming out. should build up the lines, change coaches first. If Pickett still looks horrible after next season we will be picking high again and can have the QB conversation

The Steelers have to go OL with their first and second picks. They have to establish their run game and better pass protection. They are trending for a top 5 pick so Skoronski should be there.

Which guy are you taking (Young, Stroud, or Levis)?

You're right, this is a terrible system for any quarterback or offensive player for that matter. Look at the YPR for the wide receivers over the past several seasons. Just awful. On top of this, the Steelers have a blueprint for failure for a young quarterback. A terrible offensive line, a poor running game, and a bad pass:run ratio. Pickett has 33 pass attempts per game in his five games played. That number doesn't include sacks or scrambles while Najee is averaging just over 13 carries per game. With that said, you need to connect on some down field throws and punch the ball into the end zone. Way too many turnovers as well.

Exactly. It will sort itself out. Build the lines, get better coaches, and focus on the basics.

with the trade deadline on Tuesday, they should seriously think about seeing what they can get for some of these guys. I wouldn't give anyone away for nothing, but I would listen. This team is a disaster.

so will Canada be let go tomorrow?
ArtII just doesnt fire coaches in season does he? Plus Tomlin wants Canada because he doesnt want a coach on his staff that might outshine him. Canada owes his NFL career to MT, so MT is gonna push hard to keep him.

I cannot believe ArtII isnt embarrassed by how his once proud franchise has been run into the ground, but he certainly doesnt show any signs of it.

Some are afraid of change. Some have other agendas. Regardless we are stuck in a seas of suck with no end in sight.

very true. PHI wanted JHurts gone for a couple of years before things just started to click for him. Im pretty sure Pickett's upside is higher than Hurts'. Its just that PHI offensive line and defensive lines are top quality and they have a legitimate OC who knows how offenses work in the NFL.

Post game is nailing it… coaches aren’t getting these guys to understand their roles… there isn’t any cohesion
