A gamble is one thing. Tuitt and Bryant are gambles. Spending the pick on a guy with no position, an injury history, a fumbling problem, and a body frame at which 0% players excel.. that's not a gamble. That's called "drafting a 40 time."

You do know what "bust" means, right? It doesn't mean "didn't go to the pro bowl". Adams had some pretty solid starts at RT, and run blocks like a ******* road grater, he pass blocks like a turnstyle. We'll see if that gets corrected. Gilbert in my opinion sucks, but he doesn't suck so bad as I'd call him a bust, he sucks to the point of me wanting someone to get him to stop falling int our other linemen. Worilds just got the nod to be the starter, so I'll wait and see how that goes. McFadden was a while back, as was Colclough, but yeah, not stellar but I don't think you call either of those "busts". Oddly, I realize not every ******* player we draft is going to be pro bowl from year one. I'd have to be an idiot to think that, wouldn't I?
EDIT- and yes, Zoe Jackson sucked balls, which is why I said the LAST one I remember is Sweed, ****, we can go back though the 80's if you want and I'm sure we'll find a bunch there too, that must make ******* Chuck a dickwad idiot as well then, right?

Yes, Adams and Gilbert look like solid second-round picks. Juggled in and out of the lineup since the day they were drafted.
Worilds has 18 sacks in 4 seasons and was benched for a rookie last year. Yeah, he's shaped up nicely.
McFadden (9 INTs in 7 years, dumped by two teams, now out of the league) and Colclough (one career start, out of the league since 2009) weren't busts? Sheesh

A gamble is a calculated attempt with upside. Both those guys were at positions of great need.
Archer is a desperate grope who doesn't even have a position.

Interesting thing in this draft that has been said many times, there is a lot of depth in this draft. Translated means we have lots of guys that are rated about the same, very few guys have separated themselves from the rest. After the top talent everybody has holes in their game. In addition to the quantifiable issues that several of our knowledgeable draft guys have talked about with their evaluations and time spent looking at videos of these guys, we have the things that are not quantifiable. Things like poor interview, medical issues, intelligence issues, off the field issues that may not be general knowledge. In some cases I think contacts that our staff has with other coaches in the college ranks may allow some insider info to be exchanged. Things like, this guy has some real attitude issues and does not accept coaching. What you see now is what you will get. If I did not have a friend on the police department this guy would have been arrested several times etc. As fans we will never see these things unless we happen to see things like arrest records, or coverage of court proceedings.
In some cases I suspect that players may be considered a lower value because of this or in some cases removed from our board entirely. After reading all the fine work done on here by some very knowledgeable guys that is the only thing I see that can really cause some of these guys to fall so far and be valued so much lower than there stats and data would indicate. With that in mind it might explain some of the why did we not take x player instead of why player. As to the WTF moments that we see after some high round picks who knows.
