I don't usually have an issue with guys playing the cocky, opinionated ******** role online. Where it becomes confusing is when it becomes logging into a board and posting to it insulting the quality of the board itself and insulting other posters for posting there... Like do you not see the irony in that?

Jeezuz ******* Christ, do we need some ************* Midol up in this ***** or what? I've seen loads of posters come and go, and there have always, and I do mean always been the doom and gloomers who even when we're winning a ******* superbowl are going on about how "Yeah, but we didn't beat that good a team to win it". Some people just like misery, and kind of wallow in it. Shockingly this annoys the **** out of people who don't go around all day giving themselves papercuts and pouring lemon juice and salt in them.
I've been watching and partaking of that drama since back when we were debating kordy being a WR or a QB, and I'm still here. Maybe I just have a thicker skin, maybe I just don't give a **** what some dick on the internet thinks of me. If the discussion here gets to the point where I feel it sucks, I'll just keep coming here, and giving mountains of **** to those who are making it suck. Just so happens I like that just fine too.
So, if ya wanna take your ball and go home, no one is stopping you, but please, don't pretend like it's the boards fault. I've seen em all come and go, and trust me, if we made it though Coach, we can make it though you.

Yes, I know. I still get mentioned pretty much daily on here. Which is weird.
Though it doesn't look like the place is making it through much of anything, considering that it's an absolute ghost town, and that its top two football posters (Dobre and TMC) have both recently left for the same reason. ****, if not for Dri Archer, half these members would never even post.

And there used to be Andy Griffith on the black and white tv every night, and we left our doors unlocked, and the screen door open in the summer- (cue centemental music). You know why the good old days are called the good old days, because people have selective memory, like the fact that Chuck Noll went 7 out of his last 8 seasons without making the playoffs. There are people who come here and post things about camp, tidbits about what they saw while at camp, and within 5 mins, someone is here bitching that camp is always fluff, and no one ever reports bad things in camp, and every year it's the same positive news coming out of camp, blah blah blah. THAT is way more likely to drive someone away, I mean if you posted what you saw at camp, trying to share some Steeler news, and a few mins later some dickwad is jumping your **** because you didn't post how 90% of the team ******* sucks and are really scrubs that shouldn't have ever been drafted, that's far more likely to drive a new poster off.
I'm sure this place will do just fine this year, you can say ghost town if you like, but one or two posters didn't make or break this place before, and it's not going to make or break it now.

TMC left for reasons that he was consistently attacked for saying some guy would be good and another guy wouldn't. Year after year it happened. Season after season. Hell, even week after week he was called out.

TMC always had well thought out posts and discussions. He would, at times, get a little tunnel vision based on one set of facts or another, but I'll take tunnel vision based on a set of facts over wild random prognostications any day. He'll be missed if he doesn't come back, but life goes on.

It's a shame if TMC does stay away. He was one of the best football minds on this board. There are very few that can come close to his insight.
unfortunately, I use OpenOffice so my spreadsheets and presentations may not have the same effect as TheIdiotWhoShallNotBeNamed's.
Aww that's good news! I'll stay too. Just reading about TMC, what a shame. I really liked his posts and I like it here too. It's just not football season and I'm not into it yet, like maybe many others (?). I don't know, speaking for myself I don't have much to say in the offseason. I would like to give a big **** YOU to Manny Sanders though, but other than that........ Maybe if the Steelers are better than 8-8 this season, maybe some of the others will come back.

Maybe he will be back after the games begin. I always liked the different opinions regarding the game but it is surprising how many folks do not do well with folks that disagree with them. Particularly on the internet when you can get any one and the main strength to being an internet tough guy is typing speed.
