It shows who loves the country and who does not. Certain people never wear red white and blue on this day. They don't like America for their own reasons. Those that do can be easily spotted. Supporters of the 4th are extremely friendly with each other on this day.
A neighbor down the road where I live is from Columbia and just became a legal citizen. He dropped his second last name ( A practice in that nation ) and was decked out like Captian America explaining to his young children why this a great country to celebrate. It's too bad the news doesn't show stories like this. It doesn't fit their narrative.
