The Dem **** Show starts tonight,

Ok, I understand then.

Carry on.

Tibs, because I grow weary of hearing without the proper contextual background to show what that even means, I did the work.

Hillary Clinton walked out of California with nearly 4.5 million more votes than Trump. THIS is why we desperately need the electoral college.

New York gave her another 1.75 million vote advantage. (Electoral College anyone?)

The other 3 bastions of democratic voting, WA, OR and CO added over 500,000, 200,000 and 100,000 to her advantage respectively.

Altogether these 5 states gave her nearly a 7 million vote advantage in the popular election. (6,883,628) What this tells us is that if we DIDN'T have the electoral vote, we wouldn't need a vote at all because ultimately New York and California have the population to elect our president every single time simply based on numbers.

Indeed, when you look at the actual numbers, Hillary lost HUGE in virtually every other state to the point that the mega states that gave her such a huge advantage were cut more than in half by the rest of the country voting against Clinton.

Don't come out with the whole "popular vote" crap. It's a HUGE red herring argument. As a country we NEED the electoral college and how it actually demonstrates the will of the people across the entire country.

I know I've pointed it out before but another aspect of this is that absentee ballots were not counted in CA and some other states. It is labor intensive to count absentee ballots so if a candidate wins by more votes than there are outstanding absentee ballots then they don't bother counting them.

So for CA, there may have been over a million uncounted absentee ballots because they would not change the outcome.

This is significant because traditionally absentees lean heavy republican. Why? Because that's how the military votes. And in the case of CA, it would be also people who fled CA to other states because it's becoming an overtaxed **** hole.

This means Trump may very well have gotten another million votes in CA alone and across the whole nation, he could have possibly won the popular vote, or at least it would have been much closer.

You also have to consider that many people in CA who would vote for Republicans may just stay home because they know their vote is pointless in CA.

Also, as I have pointed out numerous times, if the election were in fact based on a national vote count, Trump would have campaigned much differently and would have targeted the national vote. He would have spent more time in Central California, upstate New York, and Illinois and much less time in Iowa and New Hampshire.

The idea that Trump would have lost the national vote if the national vote total counted is simply not based in fact. We KNOW that Trump ran an election to win the electoral vote, and targeted Arizona (won), Florida (won), North Carolina (won), Iowa (won), Indiana (won), Pennsylvania (won), Michigan (won), Wisconsin (won), Ohio (won), New Hampshire (kinda lost), Nevada (lost), Colorado (lost).

Trump lost Nevada by 26,000 votes and and Colorado by 72,000 votes - a combined 108,000 votes.

Meanwhile, he won Ohio by 420,000 votes - nearly four times the total he lost Nevada and Colorado combined.

The point? Trump did what he needed to do, and then some, to win. This silly idea that he had no chance in a national vote simply ignores reality.

I neither support nor oppose these national anthem protests. While I can see both nobility and hypocrisy in these protests, I am truly indifferent. In the grand scheme of things, it just doesn’t matter that much.

Seems like most of America agrees with you.

Best selling soccer jersey ever on their website. So they probably sold about 10.

Yeah, give or take around ten jerseys total. Sour grapes, Davenport? ;)

OK first you post a tweet that says it's the highest selling team jersey ever (doesn't say soccer jersey, which is the stat), and now you are posting figures for Nike's entire women's segment. I'm not saying they are not the best selling Nike soccer jersey, just pointing out that it's not a big deal. We're talking about women's soccer jerseys. It's like celebrating the best selling Yugo model.

Again, we'll chalk it up to sour grapes. Must be frustrating Americans in general don't share the ire and moral outrage we see on this board over Megan Rapinhoe's political activism.

You don't know what "sour grapes" means, do you?

You don't know what "sour grapes" means, do you?

Of course I do, that's why I used that particular idiom. You have sour grapes because you expect/want millions of Americans to share your outrage over Kaepernik/Rapinoe but can't have it, cause it's not happening.

per how the Left conducts themselves, it should be welcomed if someone were to pour a milkshake on someone else wearing a Rapinoe jersey.

Of course there are millions of Americans who share my outrage. How does some poor misguided twats buying some soccer jerseys say otherwise? According to your logic, we need to compare the number of people not buying those jerseys to those buying them. LOL. Guess who wins that one by a landslide? You are really reaching.

The Tibtard loves people who disrespect the American flag. They are his true heroes, along with Antifa and the great patriot creepy porn lawyer.

this is correct. best selling soccer jersey ever. the tweet is intentionally misleading.

"The USA Women's home jersey is now the No. 1 soccer jersey, men's or women's, ever sold on Nike.com in one season," said Nike CEO Mark Parker on the company's earnings call this week.

No, he’s just smart enough to realize that people disrespecting the flag has absolutely no impact on his life, why should he let it anger him?

So they ARE disrespecting the flag? Because I keep hearing that’s not the case.

It doesn’t anger me because it does nothing. It solves nothing, it helps nothing. It will change nothing. That’s why it just doesn’t matter. I never understood the uproar.

I mean, if you really want to protest, refuse to put on that USA jersey and represent a country you find so much injustice in. It becomes merely symbolic and really hypocritical when you wear the jersey and cash the paycheck, but refuse to sing the anthem. It’s dumb.

And for the record, I will be watching today and rooting for our girls to beat England because my pride in my country and how it’s athletes perform on the world stage outweighs whatever disdain I might have for their political activism.

I tend to gravitate toward sports and entertainment to get away from political messages, so do what you need to do before the game. Kneel, stand, don't stand, stretch, jerk off, do what you need to do, but then get your *** on the field and entertain me. I demand to be entertained and lose myself for 3 hrs. Go USA!

Oh I understand. Not trying to tell anyone how they should or shouldn’t feel. Just stating my opinion on it.

I agree with this, being upset over something you can't control. If only the media would stop putting this constantly in our face.

What’s disrespectful is subjective. Is it not enough to stand and remove your hat, you must also sing? I think most people are guilty of not singing. I don’t recall Villanueva signing in the Soldiers Field picture.
