When Trump tells a white person to go back to where they came from, let me know, k? Then you might have a point. 3 of these people were born here. They didn't come from anywhere else. They are AMERICANS, as much as he is, as much as you are. This country is their home. No matter how much you want to twist yourself into a pretzel trying to make it sound better.

I'm with everything you're saying...except what he said, by definition, is not racist. It simply is not when you consider the definition of the word. Idiotic and stupid yes.

Assuming that someone came from somewhere else and is not American based on their race is, IMO, racist. Telling American citizens to "go back to where you came from" is IMO, racist. We'll have to agree to disagree.

Sen. John Kennedy was great on Tucker last night.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2019/07/17/sen_kennedy_aoc_omar_tlaib_pressley_are_the_four_horsewomen_of_the_apocalypse.html

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) called Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) the "Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse" in an interview with FOX News host Tucker Carlson on Tuesday. Kennedy called them "left-wing cranks" and the reason why there are directions on a shampoo bottle.

"I just think they're left-wing cranks, and they're the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle," the Senator quipped. "I think we should ignore them."

Kennedy said the "squad" believes America was wicked when it was founded and the American people are even more wicked and evil now. The Senator said they are destroying the Democratic party and is appalled that Democratic presidential candidates are falling over themselves to "agree with the Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse."

"The simple fact of the matter is that the four Congresswomen think that America was wicked in its origins," Kennedy told Carlson. "They think that America and his people are even more wicked now, that we are all racist and misogynistic, and evil. They're entitled to their opinion, they're Americans. But I'm entitled to my opinion.

"There's no question that the so-called 'squad' has moved the Democratic party substantially left," he said. "Never interrupt your opponent when he's screwing up. Just Let him screw up."

"They are destroying the Democratic party," Kennedy said Tuesday. "I'm appalled that so many of our presidential candidates are falling all over themselves to try to agree with the Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse. They are entitled to their opinion, but I'm entitled to say that they're whackjobs."

I get you but I also think that if you're going to be a Hyphenated American and not an American then being told to go back where you came from if you don't like it here is a fair shot.
BTW, I'm immune from criticism because two years ago when I was out of work I DID try to get a work visa for Italy and found it was virtually impossible. Does that mean Italy is racist?

I refuse to play the race game, flags, shoes, hats, what's next, because there's always something next with these loons.

My take on what Trump said, and yes he could have phrased it better, not that it would matter to the MSM, is they should go back to their districts and clean up the mess that they created.

Saw an advertisement last night that the CBS morning show this morning would have them on, like they're celebrities.

Ha ha ha, Trump played the Dims like a fiddle! He proved that Pelosi and all the rest of them are Socialists and the squad of dipshits is the face of their party now. Brilliant.

New Poll: The Rasmussen Poll, one of the most accurate in predicting the 2016 Election, has just announced that “Trump” numbers have recently gone up by four points, to 50%. Thank you to the vicious young Socialist Congresswomen. America will never buy your act! #MAGA2020

Which is the least worst comment, most violent-inciting, most racist and most eyebrow-raising said by an elected official?

A:
"There’s always kind of a calming feeling I tell folks when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people's passports. And just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them.”

B:
"CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties. So you can't just say that today someone is looking at me strange, that I am going to try to make myself look pleasant. You have to say this person is looking at me strange, I am not comfortable with it, I am going to go talk to them and ask them why. Because that is a right you have.

C:
go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came

D:
Race is a factor in everything.

E:
People often say, how are you gonna pay for it? And I find the question so puzzling because, how do you pay for something that’s more affordable? How do you pay for cheaper rent? How do you pay for—you just pay for it.

Still disagree. It's wrong. It's an assumption. You're drawing a conclusion without enough facts. Judging a book by its cover. It's all of those things and more. It isn't racist.

If I see a man wearing blue Dickey pants, and a blue shirt with Ed written in a name patch sewn to his breast, his hands and arms covered in grease, wearing work boots, I'm assuming he's a mechanic because of his appearance. I could be very wrong.

If I see an Asian man donning a tall white chef's cap, wearing a white smock, I may assume he is a sushi chef. Hell he could just be dressed up for Halloween.

If I see a man walk into a hardware store wearing coveralls, a flannel shirt, sucking on a hayseed, I may assume he's a farmer. He could just enjoy mowing the lawn of his mansion that way.

If I see a woman wearing a hijab, speaking with a dialect, I'm assuming she wasn't born here. Odds are, she wasn't. But I well could be wrong.

None of those are racist. They are just unfounded assumptions. And none of those fit the definition of racism, or embody the most important part, belief that one race is inherently superior to another. Assuming someone isn't from here based on appearance isn't racist. It's called judging a book by it's cover, something we all do every day.

Definition of racism
1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2a : a doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principles
b : a political or social system founded on racism
3 : racial prejudice or discrimination

I'm not trying to argue, I simply don't see racism there. And in a day and time where Americans label everything racist far too easily, I advocate calling FEWER things racism unless they undeniably are. We are in a dangerous place.

“We need to take these people on, they are often connected to big drug cartels, they are not just gangs of kids anymore. They are often the kinds of kids that are called superpredators. No conscience. No empathy. We can talk about why they ended up that way but first we have to bring them to heel,”

Tim, we're going around in circles. Making assumptions about people based on race is engaging in racial stereotyping. Looking at a black person and thinking "They must not be from here. They must be from some terrible shithole of a country." is racist. No different than seeing a black kid and assuming he's from the hood.

The message is if you're not white you aren't an American...you don't belong here...yeah, that's racist.

You don't have to agree, but that's the way I see it.

Yeah, she's a big racist. No doubt.

I'm not saying I like any of these women. There are plenty of legitimate criticisms of all 4 of them. I'm just able to look objectively at legitimate criticisms of Trump as well.

oh, I wish someone would take away his twitter account. if he lost his login credentials, the left would have virtually nothing to *****, whine and complain about. I'm not saying you're doing that. i can see that the man isn't well-polished. Or polished at all. I see that he's brash, crude and has a limited filter. While I don't agree with everything he says, I disagree with less than that. He specifically referred to the PLACES these politicians came from. He told them to go back to those crime-infested cities and fix them before trying to take on the country's issues.

President Donald J Trump said:
So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly......and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how....it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

In reviewing that, it seems to me he was referring to the brother-****** to reflect upon the shithole she emigrated from, while including all of them to look at the crime-infested shitholes they represent.

I don't fully agree with HOW he said it, but I do agree with what he said.

What have any of these four blithering idiots done to help those whom they represent? Not. One. Thing.

That should be the discussion.

Nearly 90% of Republicans polled support Trump telling dims ‘Go Back, Help Fix’ foreign countries. Trump just says things that need to be said that nobody else has the chitlins to say. And the vast majority of people that just go about their business and don't cause problems AND FINANCE THIS MESS have his back.

The broader benefit is that he has once again put 'them' on defense, and in the process has put the 'squad's' face on the party. Oh, and got pelosi sent to her room without dinner.

It's all good.

Read his quote again. He says "originally came from countries" as well as "viciously telling the people of the United States." It implies, if not flat out states that they are from other countries, not the USA. One could argue it implies that they aren't even Americans. He tells them "to go back and help fix the broken and crime infested places from which they came." All of this spin about going back to their districts, or cities or ancestral nations is nonsense. Support the guy however you want, but all of this contorting to prove he didn't say what he clearly said is getting ridiculous. When he says "if they even have a functioning government at all", people either want me to believe he is so stupid that he thinks these districts or cities do not have functioning governments, or that he is so brilliant, this tweet was some master plan to make those four idiots the face of the party. Which is it? It can't be both, can it?

Whatever. I am not going to change anyone's mind. I guess I'll finish by saying that I don't think this tweet was racist as much as it was ignorant and ill-advised. He is such a frustrating man, because he can't just sit back and let them destroy themselves. Even the New York times was starting to hammer on those four clowns. He wants credit for that too, so he gets all brainy on twitter and makes them victims.

It's funny to watch what happens when Trump fights with hyperbole.what should be hyperbole but is actually just incredibly stupid ****

I see how you mean, and I can interpret it that way as well. I do believe he was focusing primarily on the snake in the headress, but let his fat fingers get in the way of making a better tweet.

like i said, if someone would take away his twitter account or lock him out, we'd all be better off.

I'm with Sarge on this. He said what he said and don't try to spin it to mean their "home districts". I'm also not a big fan of playing the "If you don't like it, leave!" card. That's a bad argument and a 5th grade level taunt.

Do I think his original quote was racist? Very close but then I'm of the opinion "racist" is not a black/white definition and there is tons of gray in that language. I also think the democrats have cried wolf with "racist" for so long and so often that even when Trump actually says something racist, no one ******* cares anymore. The guy is Teflon on this subject now. They've called him Hitler and Racist and Dictator for so long, in so many different ways, on so many issues that he's immune to it.

I think the more the "4 Morons of the Apocalypse" talk, the better for the Republicans.

The 2020 race is very clearly defining itself as Trump vs. Socialism. The left is going to try to make it about morality and decorum and the argument their **** doesn't stink and they are above it all, which will never happen. Trump will bring them down into the gutter during the campaign and then their moral superiority will evaporate leaving only policies and accomplishment, which I think Trump will win on.
