I simply don't care what the perception is. I want the Mueller investigation to come to a merciful end and let the findings be what they are. If Trump is exonerated, I'd be perfectly happy with that outcome. I'd still dislike him for his personality and behaviour, but at least there won't be this legal case hanging over his head. Anything more nefarious than that is a figment of your imagination.

I've read and seen enough since then to believe full well the Mueller investigation was and is warranted. I don't have a personal vendetta against Trump, he doesn't owe me any money, we've never crossed paths. Yes, but Rosenstein and the DOJ were constantly in the loop, as they oversee the entire process. Decisions had to be made very high-up, separate from Mueller or his investigation, to allow the NY district attorney to take on this case and then take the extraordinary step to get a search warrant and pull off a no-knock search of Cohen's home, office and hotel, and in particular, Cohen's communication with the President. The fact they confiscated phones, computers, documents proves this point. For a federal judge to allow for the breach of attorney-client privledge requires an incredibly high bar of circumstances and facts. The fact this is the President's personal attorney seems to carry that much more weight and would call for the most rigorous legal oversight. At the end of the day, this was approved by the NY district attorney - appointed by Trump - and a federal judge, neither one who has anything to do with Bob Mueller.
