The string pullers for AOC want war in the Left - getcher popcorn ready

That would be great if at the same time they converted to conservatism, but they go to red states with no/lows taxes and bring along support for the same crap they are running away from.

Ex: Virginia. They are doing a real number on my state. Getting a ton of help from the likes of UVA.

Why ask her to resign? They might replace her with somone competent, and less likely to be a problem.

Sent from my SCH-I605 using Steeler Nation mobile app

The same people that sent the dumb ***** in the 1st place? The same kind of people that sent Stuart Smalley to Congress? I bet you think tomlin and colbert will draft a good cb, too.

I say let them run with it

'Those railway bridges connecting California with Hawaii, Australia, and Japan are going to be, like, awesome.' Hope they build the tressels REALLY high.

If that absurdity were to occur, would the people that wished to travel here still fly? Would we allow them to land? How deep is the ocean exactly? So many complexities to figure out.

Maybe the 'hidden wisdom' in AOC's 'vision' would be the end of trade deficits. Everything that comes here is shipped on devices that burn 'fossil fuel'.

Stop Laughing: Yes, the Green New Deal Is Stupid and Evil, But It’s Coming
By Robert Spencer | February 15, 2019

Democratic socialist wunderkind Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has been receiving torrents of ridicule for the “Green New Deal” program she unveiled with great fanfare and media adulation on Thursday, and it’s well deserved. But conservatives may come to find that laughter catching in their throats: as stupid as it is, and as disastrous as it would obviously be if it were implemented, many powerful figures on the Left aren’t laughing. And it’s not in the least impossible that they'll bring that disaster upon the nation by trying to implement it.

The popularity of Ocasio-Cortez herself is a case in point. She is attractive, passionate, and untroubled by the miseries of possessing an intellect. She was already famous before the Green New Deal rollout for demonstrating a sub-middle school understanding of the branches (which she calls “chambers”) of government, exhorting Democrats to work hard to “take back all three chambers of Congress, uh, rather, all three chambers of government, the presidency, the Senate, and the House in 2020.” She spoke before taking office about being “inaugurated” and, as a member of the House of Representatives, signing legislation. She is a vociferous foe of Israel and denounces the “occupation of Palestine,” but can’t explain why.

And on and on: every news cycle brings more evidence of how truly free Ocasio-Cortez really is of any significant civic, historical, or economic knowledge. But none of it matters. She is a darling of the Leftist media and a rising star in the Democrat Party. Netflix paid ten million dollars for a documentary about her. Al Jazeera has already anointed her the next president of the United States.

Is she better equipped to be a bartender (which she was not long ago) than a member of the House of Representatives? Of course. But that won’t stop her rise. The Left ridiculed Donald Trump and called him stupid all through 2016, and he was elected president.

What Ocasio-Cortez has on her side is the fact that powerful people on the Left take her seriously.

or all its talk (in the FAQs provided by Ocasio-Cortez’s office) of becoming able within the next few years “to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes” and providing “economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to
work,” the most arresting passage in the entire Green New Deal plan is this: Nearly every major Democratic presidential contender says they back the Green New deal including: Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Jeff Merkley, Julian Castro, Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard, and Jay Inslee.

Those Democrat leaders aren’t laughing Ocasio-Cortez out of the room for announcing a plan that includes the intention to “upgrade or replace every building in US for state-of-the-art energy efficiency.” They’re nodding their heads and signing on. They don’t think it will make them look just as dimwitted as Ocasio-Cortez to endorse a plan that calls for constructing “high-speed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary." Those railway bridges connecting California with Hawaii, Australia, and Japan are going to be, like, awesome.

They’re happy to lend their names to a plan that calls for “a full transition off fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases,” in other words, destruction of the existing automobile industry, as well as the aeronautics industry. And the prospect of a massive carnage of “farting cows” doesn’t seem to trouble them.

The Green New Deal as Ocasio-Cortez has presented it will never be implemented in full, because the United States would go bankrupt and a new civil war would break out before all of its recommendations could be put into place. But that won’t stop Democrats from moving in the direction of a unitary socialist state in which all means of production are in the hands of the government – for the good of the climate and the people, of course.

If establishment media reporters ever decided to challenge these leading Democrats on their support for this absurd plan, which is almost certain never to happen, they would likely follow the lead of Ocasio-Cortez adviser Robert Hockett, who appeared on Tucker Carlson's show Friday and claimed that the FAQs containing all these nonsensical plans was a fabrication by “conservative media”; Ocasio-Cortez even retweeted this forgery claim. However, the document has been definitively proven to have originated from her office, and bears the name of her chief of staff as its author; also, the resolution Ocasio-Cortez has introduced in Congress contains the provisions for eliminating all use of fossil fuels, “upgrading all existing buildings in the United States,” and more. Nor did any of the Democrat leaders who endorsed the plan withdraw their support when its absurdity became apparent.

Only Nancy Pelosi, of all people, has been dismissive, saying, “The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it, right?” But the withered dowager empress underestimates the young upstart at her own risk. History is full of examples of how swiftly the mighty can fall; before she knows it, Pelosi could find herself being led to the scaffold in a squalid oxcart, while the woke, green populace celebrates the fall of the tyrant and the dawning of a new age of justice and climate awareness.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her fanatical, totalitarian vision are likely to afflict the United States and threaten our freedom for the foreseeable future. Yes, the Green New Deal deserves ridicule, but those who are laughing should also pause to recognize what is coming.

She's so stupid. Now she is saying they can spend the $3BIL they were going to spend on Amazon on her district. She actually thinks a tax cut is a spend - she has internalized that stupid rhetoric as fact. This one has a degree in economics. Not a better illustration of the quality of university economics programs.

The media loves her. She is in the news and on the news every day . A puerto Rican Maxine Waters.

They'll be floating bridges, hurricane proof and can take some of those nasty 75-100 foot seas when the weather is bad. No problem. It will be like one of those old wooden rollercoasters at Kennywood Park.

Gas Shortages Give New York an Early Taste of the Green New Deal

New York now imports nearly all of its gas even though part of the Marcellus Shale, one of the biggest and most prolific sources of natural gas in the country, extends into the state’s Southern Tier region. To get an idea of how much gas the state might have been able to produce from the Marcellus, New Yorkers can look across the state line to Pennsylvania, which now supplies about two-thirds of the gas consumed in New York. At the end of 2018, Pennsylvania drillers were producing about 18 billion cubic feet of gas a day. That’s more gas than Canada now produces.

By keeping its natural gas in the ground, New York has lost out on jobs and tax revenue. By 2015, some 106,000 people were directly employed by Pennsylvania’s oil and gas industry, making it a bigger employer than the state’s famous steel sector. This year Pennsylvania’s state government is expected to take in some $247 million in gas-related fees.

I have customers who drill in the Marcellus Shale. They use hydrochloric acid when they frack and my chemical protects the drill and casing from being eaten by the acid. **** New York. That state is a liberal dumpster fire.

Well, piece of **** Buffalo and some other parts of the state are ok. It’s mainly Albany and NYC that blow goats.

This is how a squeaky little waitress ("was working in restaurants") came to be the representative for the 14th district of New York to the 116th US congress.

It should scare the hell out of anyone that is paying attention. They're flooding the zone with nitwits.

Someone is beginning to look a lot like a Senator propped up in the state of Illinois with a background that couldn't be verfied....

Where in the world does Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez live?

She may be America’s most famous freshman congresswoman, but in New York, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a virtual ghost.

She has no district office and no local phone number, unlike the state’s three other freshman members.

And it’s unclear whether the 29-year-old lawmaker, who represents the Bronx and Queens, actually still lives in the Parkchester neighborhood that has been so closely tied to her rise — even though she won her upset victory over fellow Democrat Rep. Joe Crowley with accusations that his home in Virginia made him too Washington-focused to serve his district.

Ocasio-Cortez has used her deceased father’s Bronx condo on her voter registration since 2012, and even posed in the one-bedroom Bronx flat for celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz in a Vogue magazine profile after her stunning November election. But The Post could find little indication she continues to live there.

The Post e-mailed the Ocasio-Cortez’ spokesman, Corbin Trent, four times with specific questions — they were all ignored. On Saturday, The Post reached Corbin by phone.

“We will not be commenting,” he said. Among the queries he refused to answer: Where does the congresswoman live?

On Saturday night, a staffer promised a Post reporter that Ocasio-Cortez would talk to him after a speaking event in Corona.

During the event, two staffers were seen reading an early edition of this story on their phones.

“Come downstairs, I have to take a picture quick,” the congresswoman then told the reporter after the event, instructing him to wait for her. Twenty minutes later, she ducked out a back door, jumped into a chauffeured SUV, and zoomed off.

Ocasio-Cortez was in New York City last weekend and this weekend, with appearances in Queens on both Saturdays — yet she was not seen coming or going from her Parkchester pad either day.

Her apartment’s next-door neighbor said she had never seen Ocasio-Cortez. Another neighbor, who has lived down the hall from the congresswoman’s apartment for the last 40 years, said he’d never seen her or her boyfriend, Riley Roberts, who has claimed the address as his own since last spring.

“I would have remembered,” said the neighbor when shown a photograph of Ocasio-Cortez.

Workers at Jerry’s Pizzeria, less than a block from her building, and at the local grocery store said she had never patronized their businesses — and a server at a nearby taqueria said the congresswoman had only come in to be filmed by news crews.

A postal worker who delivers mail to the building said that in the last 10 years he has only seen Ocasio-Cortez intermittently, and that several months’ worth of mail regularly accumulates in the mailbox before anyone bothers to collect it. The worker said that Ocasio-Cortez and Roberts were the only ones getting mail at the address.

“Just because their names are on the box doesn’t mean they live there,” he said.

And in 2017, when Ocasio-Cortez first filed paperwork to become a congressional candidate, she didn’t even know what district she lived in, mistakenly declaring plans to run for neighboring District 15 before correcting the error days later.

Meanwhile, in Washington, Ocasio-Cortez has rented a pad in a luxe building in the chic Navy Yard neighborhood, where studios start at $1,840 a month, according to the Washington Examiner.

Her new digs feature gold-plated amenities like a rooftop infinity pool, a cycling studio with a dozen pricey Pelotons, men’s and women’s saunas, and a golf simulation lounge — but no affordable units for low-income residents, in spite of a local law that requires them, the news site reported.

In the eight months since Ocasio-Cortez’s dramatic defeat of the long-serving Crowley in June’s Democratic primary — a victory that all but guaranteed a general election win in the heavily Democratic District 14 — the congresswoman has failed to open a local office.

The space slated for Ocasio-Cortez’s constituent office is in a new building in Jackson Heights.

Suites in the building at 74-09 37th Avenue rent for about $40 per square foot. Ocasio-Cortez’s office, on the third floor, is just under 5,000 square feet, which would bring the annual undiscounted rental price to $200,000 or nearly $17,000 a month.

In January, Ocasio-Cortez sought to blame the delay on a stubborn landlord at a different building where her predecessor Crowley maintained one of his two district offices.

“Although we attempted to take over our predecessor’s lease, the landlord wanted to almost double rent” from $7,800 to $15,000 per month, she tweeted Jan. 22 — without specifying which of Crowley’s spaces she had hoped to inherit.

“That spike would have meant less caseworkers for our community,” she posted. “Instead, we’re making a new space with a family business!”

But Ocasio-Cortez neglected to mention that her rent would end up likely topping the cost of Crowley’s former digs.

When The Post visited last week, the congresswoman’s office was still under construction, with workers building interior walls and installing drywall. A carpenter there said the work would probably take several more weeks to complete. A staffer said at a community board meeting that it would open March 4.

It’s unknown if taxpayers or the landlord is paying for the extensive renovations.

A spokesman for Cow Bay Contracting, the Nassau County construction company working on the office space, refused comment. Ocasio-Cortez’s office refused to answer the question.

In the absence of a district office, and with no way to contact the rookie congresswoman, voters have resorted to desperate measures.

“Constituents come here and leave notes on the door,” said the postal worker at her Parkchester apartment building last weekend. “But it’s a waste of time.”

Heh. She didn't get elected to represent her district, she got elected to represent the National Socialists (sic).

N'then there's this...

“No matter how you feel about the wall,” she said, “I think it’s a moral abomination. I think it’s, like, the Berlin Wall."

Y'know... the whole 'keep in' vs 'keep out' thing can be elusive.

But wait, there's more....

Apparently the rigors of office tire her. "I don't care any more.". Any more? Has it been a month? OK , a month and a half. But "nobody's trying". It must be exhausting for her. But Dear, they're just not as bright as you are. They can't visualize choo-choos on the open seas. Or even in lakes.

So, "I'm the boss. H'bout that?".

The irony of her comparison to the Berlin wall is thick like her head. The commies kept people (like my family) in East Germany with their wall. She wants to be a commie but rejects walls? She has no clue, none, of what she speaks.

She is just the start, she barely even counts, more of the real Dem agenda revealed

House Democrats Plan Vote to Criminalize Private Gun Sales

House Democrats plan a floor vote to criminalize private gun sales and add an indefinite extension to the time to complete a NICS instant background check.

The criminalization of private gun sales is being achieved via H.R. 8, a universal background check bill that will make it a crime for a friend to sell a gun to a lifelong friend without government permission. The bill will also make it a crime for a neighbor to sell a gun to a neighbor he has known for decades, unless government permission is sought.

AOC: Probably time to stop having kids because 'the lives of children will be very difficult'

Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez suggests people shouldn't have kids because of climate change, says it's a "scientific consensus" that life will be hard for kids

AOC takes a shot at Dianne Feinstein, suggests her proposals are "frankly going to kill us"

I was on another website, glancing at the comments section, and one poster had a classic comment. I share....

I"m 42. I figure we'll be full blown socialist by 2050 and my last act on this earth as an old man will be packing my hover-round full of nails and explosives in an attempt to sneak into a major democratic political event and touch it off."

LMAO.
