Every coach has different curcumstances to deal with bottom line at this point in there careers they have similar records. Tomlin has even won and been to two super bowls. Tomlin is in the midst of rebuilding something Bill was given time to do. Most are ready to fire Tomlin now and he hasnt even bottomed out as far as Bill did in his rebuilding process at the same point in their careers.

They have similar records but under DIFFERENT circumstances. You totally ignore that. Bill bottomed out because he didn't have money from Heinz field, he had to rebuild all the time, and he didn't have a franchise QB. But you totally disregard that because of your Tomlin love. I never said Bill didn't want Kordell. But the owner absolutely did want him playing QB. Maybe Cowher wanted him at slash. I don't know but I do know that Cowher coached under different circumstances than Tomlin. And you ignoring those circumstances makes your arguments weak and unintelligent.

Bill had 12 years to get a QB befire Ben and its everybody's fault but his.

NEVER won a SB with his players. Switzer has a better playoff record and regular season record than Tomlin. You want him to coach the Steelers? He's won a SB.

Tomlin is 18-18 the last 36 games and he has missed the palyoffs the last two years....that is the only constant with the man and the team that he manages.

The team is last in our division in scoring (points per game) but first in the division in yards per game. We cant score in the Heinz Red Zone
The team is ranked 31st in penalties
The team is ranked 31st in penalty yards
The team is ranked third in sacks allowed.
The team is last in the division in turnovers

Tomlin is responsible for all of the above. You have a QB, Running back, and one WR in the top ten in their respective categories and you are 2-2. Your Offense cant score. Your defense gives up a last minute touchdown. Piss poor tackling. Piss poor attitudes. Piss poor work ethic. Piss poor game planning. Piss poor game adjustments. on and on and on.

But Tomlin and Haley and Lebeau and the rest of the coaching staff will survive becasue the Rooney family can't lose face.

It's pretty close to fact that Cowher assembled better talent than Tomlin. I can't imagine how you're going to argue that we've built a similar talent base under Tomlin.

Lets see both fielded competitive teams as you say over their first 5 years with the team. 2 AFC loss and a super bowl loss for one. The other one won a super bowl and lost a Super bowl. Both had competive seasons in between.

One went 22-26 over his next 3 years. The other has gone 18-18 so far into his next three. So tell me again how we dont compete..

Dude. Tomlin's success came with Cowher's players! This has been explained so many times. And he has yet to improve so much as one unit on the team from what we had.
