Tomlin Mr. 8-8

So, in your opinion, does Ben have any role in losing to these god awful teams ? Take todays game and the tampa game...was his performance in those losses more than enought to overcome poor coaching ? Or are you overlooking the ****** obvious........... ? :-)

Why is it one or the other?

And why doesn't the CONSISTENTLY bad play of much of our roster reflect on the coaches who drafted them, coach them, and play them?

Tomlin is signed for another year. Trade his *** to some dumb *** team who really thinks this guy is the second coming. Why not? I hear talk that the 49'ers may trade Hairball, so why not Captain Cool Shades I ask? No, Rooney will reward this fraud with an extension after the season, you watch.

The Steelers are an 8-8 team and Tomlin is an 8-8 coach. This is what 8-8 teams do. When is he gonna get fired? Enough is enough.

He is not going to get fired, even if we lose all our remaining games with shutouts. Tomlin is a mediocre coach, and inconsistency is a hallmark of mediocre coaches, but the Rooney family will never fire their "Rooney Rule" coach. Sad, but true. Within 5 years, most of the talent remaining on our roster will be gone but Tomlin will still be around.

Ben played poorly against Tampa Bay? That's news to me.

Art2 is not his daddy and he was public about his displeasure about missing the playoffs for 3 consecutive seasons prior to the 2001 season.

and eventually he did run Cowher off........I'm not advocating anything, I hope Tomlin succeeds and wins multiple championships for the Steelers.

But I believe Art2 is much more hands on than Dan

ArtII is much more assertive than Dan. That's for sure. He basically made enemies with Cowher by constantly criticizing him, and made some interesting comments after the "hell unleashing" year in 2009, just a year removed from the Super Bowl title.

It's also widely believed that he overruled Tomlin's initial decision to retain Arians following the 2011 season.

The three game winning streak secured his job. It secured Haley and probably DL for another year, as well. We laughed at the Ravens board on suicide watch last week and here we are, just like we were when the Browns torched us. Fire EVRYONE! Waste of time and effort. They are still 6-4 right now. Who fires their HC with a winning record? No one. They could wind-up 6-10 and he still would have another year under contract for evaluation.

1-8 vs teams that are under .200

Don't waste your time with logic here. Clearly Tomlin needs to be fired just as much after this loss as the Tampa loss. RIGHT? And the last three wins a definitely worth his job. Those were setup wins so that he could get fired today. Chill the **** out people. Bad loss but let the guys sort it out. BTW take a look around the league.....any given Sunday isn't just a cliche this year.

So you've got money on the raiders beating the donkeys right?

Happens to errybody right ?

Week in and week out, zero or one win teams are taking out division leaders?

Your logic means nothing in the face of empty cliches

Lol, more facts , so far the donks have lost to the seahags and the *s, they didn't lose to the raiders or jets

Pats beat the jets .

I would love for someone to show me all these "trap" game losses by good teams to 0fer or one win teams.

Everybody talks about it happening all the ******* time , well I'm not seeing it. Well if you exclude th steelers of course.

Now, struggles against poor teams do happen. The Jets fought the Pats to the end. The Raiders picked off Peyton twice early today. Nobody expects 45-3 blowouts of every bad team.

But good god. They're still expected to WIN. 1-8 v. teams under .200 is just a fluke? One (or actually, eight) of those kooky things that happen?

Hey I'll give them a loss to a **** team once a year.

I'll give them playing poorly once to a shitteam, then still figure out a way to win.....

Barely beat the clowns , get their ***** beaten by the clowns,*** beating by the Ravens, loss to the *****, loss to the yets, barely beat the jag offs

This is who the steelers are. A worthless bnch of bums who can only be bothered playing when it's a good team. Any other time they could not care less about the game .

Personally I'd cut 4-6 of the bums and fire Haley and TOmlin. Have a press conference and apologize for putting that **** on the field and expecting people to pay hard earned money for it.

If TOmlin isn't gone after this year, then the Rooneys are obviously fine with cashing checks and being the laughing stock of the league.

8-8 is obviously fine for TOmlin , seems fine so far for Rooney .

Struggles against poor teams is fine, but losing to them is not if you want to be more than a mediocre team.
