Tomlin sucks thread 11/6/16

So when the Steelers began to show a heart beat in the 4th quarter, was it because the Ravens were becoming complacent, or was it because Ben turned off the head set and started calling what he saw?
Not sure this is all on Tomlin, but it does fall squarely on the coaching staff.

What in the hell is unprepared?? Did they practice all week. Did they look confused. Besides Ben I mean. The defense played well. One miss tackle by Mitchell.

you can practice all week and prepare incorrectly

there is a reason ****** coaches get fired

they are responsible for guiding the ship and fail

Tommy Tom is failing at correcting his bad trends.

Yes, Ben played like ****. But we have won MANY more games because of Ben then Tomlin. Doesn't Tomlin also get paid millions? Why is he not held accountable. I'll say it again, he's the HEAD COACH!! What does he do well? What do you hold him responsible for?

To put the players in position to win....he did that today.....the player missed tackles for a TD. Dropped passes for TD's. Missed open WR's.

Yes, they did look confused. How many dropped passes? How many stupid penalties like it was the first week of training came? They sure as hell didn't look like they practiced all week, and this is a theme under Tomlin. I'll ask it one more time, what does Mike Tomlin do well? What do you hold him accountable for? Seeing as how he's the head guy, shouldn't he have to answer for years of the same bullshit?

What did you like from the coaching staff this week, particularly from the offensive coaching staff?

what do you like from the Head Coach decision(s) making that led to breaking bad trends? Oh wait that hasn't happened.

that is all due to coaching decisions............. with or without injuries

as in game preparation decisions

having the team physically and mentally ready out of the gates

lack of game time management / ****** game time decisions

really so much can be pointed to this head coach, so much it is nauseating to see people yearly defend the hack

What how you go from talking about Ben to all of that?? Please for all you name please name one instance where a Mike Tomlin decision cost us a ball game. I mean where it was the most important issue in a loss.

If you honestly think Tomlin put the players in a position to win today, then I really don't know what else could be said. What did he do to put them in a position to win? Are you really satisfied with what we've seen from him over the past few years?

it is like some fans has a poster of him on their ceiling or something, in their minds he will be deserved until again Ben retires exposing just how bad of a coach he is.

I can see the trends and Ben's play doesn't sway me from seeing it.

How in the hell do you equate a dropped pass on a coach????? A 100 million dollar QB throwing a worm burner or overthrowing a wide open WR for a TD. How the hell is that on a Coach???

**** no I am fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers it's super bowl or bust. So unless we have a parade Every Year I'm not satisfied. But I felt the same for 15 years with Cowher too.. I wasn't calling for his head ever. And please don't tell me we didn't have lulls under him

What about the penalties? What about the piss poor clock management for years? What about the complete inability to make changes in game for YEARS? What about the pansy *** defensive scheme for the last couple of years? Tomlin makes millions too, so cut the 100 million dollar QB bullshit. Yes, Ben SUCKED and deserves a ton of blame for today. But you hold the HEAD ******* COACH accountable for NOTHING!!! Why? Do you really think he's done this amazing job, does outstanding at everything, it's just everybody else? Seriously?

I agree with you. However, there were too many opportunities, in today's game atleast, where guys were in position and completely botched the execution. Ben Roethlisberger's first 50 minutes of football falls into that category. The playcalling was horrible, but when there were plays to be made the ******* players didn't do their jobs. Look at the Sammie Coates td that wasn't there at the end. Great call, yet he drops the ******* rock. That play, albeit very late, was a microcosm for the performance this afternoon.

I didn't see anything we haven't ran before and executed. I saw a QB who was off which cost us any opportunity to put anything together. I saw drops by James that would of se up a 2ND and five. I saw penalties all by the players not one on a coach. Brown lined up wrong that's on a coach. All pro WR needs to be told where to line up??

Of course we did, and he was roundly criticized for it. Cowher definitely had his faults, mainly that he was too loyal to some players once they got past their prime. But Cowher also showed an ability most of the time to make ingame adjustments, we didn't have the stupid penalties at NEARLY the rate we do now, and we didn't consistently lose to sub 500 teams. Cowher would also accept personal blame and responsibility, which is something I've NEVER seen Tomlin do. Cowher's defenses were consistently one of the best in the NFL, under Mike, we get worse and worse. Oh, and until the end, Cowher didn't have a Hall of Fame QB, which Tomlin has had the entire time. Cowher wasn't perfect, but he was light years better than Tomlin.

If you don't see them after they have been talked about over and over again I don't know what to tell you.

The penalties screamed from a lack of focus /preparation.

He doesn't know when to sit a player..

His clock management sucks.

So many things it isn't just one thing.

One thing in a game............. it is many.

Many fans feel he is too chummy with players, and this team has had a lot of questionable decisions on and off the field.

Seems like ever year they increase. Not bringing in players at positions of need, sitting on his hands in games looking cool. The camera focuses in on him and he isn't talking he isn't motivating, etc.

Seriously the trends are so obvious a blind squirrel could find this nut.

So was it a great call when Coates got wide open behind the defense and was overthrown..would of been a 10-7 game early in the third. So what was it then?? Care to think that could of been a big play. A momentum shifting play??

The Baltimore Ravens were out there playing too and they were shutting down a lot of stuff that we were trying. It wasn't simply the lack of execution on the players end.

He's just trying to step around my question. He says Ben is injured and that's why he played like ****. Why was it then that Ben was on fire for the last 10 minutes of the ******* game? You can't ignore the plays they made in the fourth quarter and state that he shouldn't have been on that field today. I will say that I'm surprised he didn't adjust his knee pad or his brace of whatever a million ******* times today.

So after losses mike Tomlin doesn't accept blame?? Or is that criticized too here?? Yep to both questions. Cowher made adjustments SMH I'm just going to stop. Mr run run pass himself

Funny thing is other coaches have their good teams not trending with these repetitive issues.

But again must be just the players, not Tommy Toms fault guysms!

Let me add that the Steelers were giving up early in the game and running draw plays on third and manageable. If you think that is playing winning football then I give up.

That's exactly what is execution is WTF

We don't care who accepts blame we want fixing results

and these trends are not being fixed

which falls directly on the head coach

who is responsible to fix them

So Brown lining up wrong is a repetitive issue? This was the first highly penalized game of the season.

So as long as the Steelers show up and don't mess up the plays, they should work 100 percent of the time, regardless of what their opponent is doing? Did you see what Baltimore was doing to the Steelers up front this week or just about every time these two teams have played over the past three or four years. Harbaugh knows how to beat the Steelers and Tomlin can't figure it out. Then again, I suppose the players just fail to execute every time the Steelers play the Ravens.
