It seems he has a better grasp on the play calling in comparison to Haley and is quicker on adjustments than Tomlin.

He'll likely never exit the booth, but for a guy who preps just a few hours for a Steeler game, he seems to have a better command of what's happening the guys who live it 24 x 7.

Tony Romo should be our QB - he would never have thrown that pick that ended our season

Ben Roethlisberger: Call to throw into end zone came from sideline

“It wasn’t a fake spike,” Roethlisberger said, via Alex Marvez of Sporting News. “I was yelling, ‘Clock it!’ I felt like that was the thing to do — clock it and get yourself one play. … It came from the sideline: ‘Don’t clock it! Don’t clock it!’ Well, at that time, everyone thinks it’s a clock [play] so you don’t have time to get everyone lined up.”

Rogers was the only Steelers receiver running a route, something that led to several Patriots defenders bracketing him before Roethlisberger, who said the call to go came from offensive coordinator Todd Haley in his helmet, delivered the pass.

That confusion likely contributed to the outcome, which knocked the Steelers out of the top spot in the AFC playoff picture with two games left to play.

Whomever said the fade pass was the best call is correct.

Face it fellas, unless Ben has heroics, our coaching is exposed for what it is. Pretty bad. Sure, sure, leave Davis all day long on Gronk. Who did that work out?

Hey it might be worth a shot. He did seem to "Get it" something our coaching doesn't "seem to". What a complete and utter breakdown of game management. Where is that Tomlin is a game manager thread again??? Holy crap.

Spike, you don't have to worry about the QB in 3 n' A HALF YARDS *******!!!

You can use anybody.

Game managing? Fake spike is fine in the situation, Ben had plenty of time to throw the ball away if nothing is there and we goto OT.
Coaching could be called in to question for letting Gronk go wild on the secondary but there was no game management issues by the coaching.

Because the QB who loves the no huddle. Who some feel should be in no huddle all the time in every game. Couldnt get a play set up. Its the coaches fault? Ben tells us all the time i was calling the plays. And you mean to tell me he couldnt get a play called in that situation.

Absolutely correct. Romo get's it, and he doesn't even focus on the Steelers. I see more coaching out of him than Tomlin.

Now watch out, the pivot and blame Ben, probably our MVP or runner up MVP for this season in full force even though he played a very good game.

Coach, I'll give Antdrew this. That was a tough throw. But with the time situation he didn't have much choice because by the time they managed to get the play going and Rogers dragged his *** across the field on a shallow route there wouldn't have even been time on the clock if Ben HAD thrown the ball IF they didn't call him for grounding since he would have had to obviously throw the ball away.

The coaches can't run that **** if they don't have a plan in place to do it. You just can't. I'm all for running something there. But have a ******* PLAN! I mean they HAD 7 minutes while the league called ******* NASA and Google and everyone else they could to find anything they could use to overturn the TD.

You'll remember in the Colts game when Polomalu had the int overturned. Cowher had the team on the sidelines and he was telling them "They're gonna **** you!" "Be ready for them to **** YOU." Obviously Haley was not telling the team "THEY'RE GONNA **** US."

The broken play was a complete clusterfuck of horse-****. The sidelines had no ******* idea what to do. Ben had to pull something out of his *** literally in 3 seconds at the line with arguably the worst receiver in the ******* stadium. Then the refs fail to see a hold where the DB uses Eli's jersey to pull him to the ground while simultaneously leveraging himself into position to tip the ball.

There's no ******* way on heaven or earth they beat the cheaters at gillette.

2 ******* penalties. And Mike Pereira sits there and tries to explain away the James catch while completely ignoring the hold on the following play. Cause he's a ******* douche-bag.

Yet, literally none of it should have mattered had we not bore witness to a royal screw job.

It was a choke job, simple as that. They cracked under pressure...

I agree with this, but I don't think Bryant was on the field.

After James’ TD catch was overturned Ben has to call two plays in the huddle. Both should have been fades in the end zone with Bryant and Ju Ju. You don’t make it then plenty of time to kick the FG.

YEP, any smart coach has 2 plays called in for that situation.

Ha ha ha ha Tony Romo has ruined more seasons by throwing picks than Ben could dream of. He threw enough crucial game INT's to be at Jay Cutler proportions. Romo's nickname should have been "season ruiner".

That said, he's a very sharp guy and good in the booth.

I would say Romo is more deserving of a place on our coaching staff than any of our coaches are.

uhuh **** a Tony Romo

**** the cheatriots

**** them

Romo was rite just clock are hit Martavis in the end zone on the fade it. Either we would have gotten the touchdown are a pass interference witch would have gave us the ball on the 1 yard line. But on the time out he should have three plays that he likes Togo to period
