Trubisky or Rudolph?

Mitch on a short leash. At this point we almost need this offense to fail with as many players as possible to force drastic change.
If we want that just insert Rudy the red nosed third stringer he is sure to get the job done.

I think Mitch is slightly better than Rudy.

Your hopes all revolve around the players? The trends of this team paint a different picture.

1 Canada is not a NFL caliber OC.
2 The head coach hasn't shown he is capable of identifying the above mentioned.
3 The D isn't playing well but belong in this spot.

Without solving these first two problems the QB room will remain unsettled.
Just because the playcalling is bad doesn't make the QB good automatically.
There are easily 25+ bad starting QB in the league do they all have bad coordinators?
What glimpse of anything has Kenny given us that he's even average level QB?
We've seen what talent looks like with subpar coaching for the past 10+ years, (Killer Bee's) and this ain't it.

Kenny had a good game vs the Raiders. Not great but good. Hopefully it is more indicative of his ability than the Raiders defense. But we are kinda stuck. You have to ride this out at least until next year. Because if you give up too soon then we aren't any better than the Browns or Bengals. We are committed better or worse to him to develop. Now he has played mostly below average. But that doesn't mean he hasn't flashed a little. We have his first four games in the book. He likely misses this week but I would think is back after the bye week. Lets compare the next four starts vs these first four. Then compare first half to second half. I am hoping for some improvement and reason to be a little optimistic after the season is over.

And they won absolutely nothing. It was entertaining, but it didn't produce championships. We don't have a coaching staff that can compete with the best.

That's the bottom line. It's not going to happen or it already would have happened.

These teams resemble nothing of the 2005,2008 and 2010 superbowl teams. They're light years from that.

It's time to move on from HC and his entire staff.

We've had 13+ years of a slow steady degradation into what we have now. I feel bad for men like Cam Heyward. He's definitely earned a shot at being a champion. He has zero shot at that with this administration.

KP is practicing tomorrow so he very well may play this week. If he doesn't, it is definitely Trubisky.

A hurt and scared Kenny or a scared mitch. Yea. Let's go with the kid.

Agreed 100%. As far as Cam goes you could say that for alot of great players that will never win anything, thats life in the NFL.

Kenny isn't the answer, Najee isn't the answer, They got people excited and optimistic with the second half of last season? Where we at now? These guys are fools gold.

I’m not willing to be so decisive about that yet. I would say Najee is probably a Brandon Jacobs RB at best. If I was to guess at Kenny’s upside is probably Marc Bulger. But that’s just a guess at what I have seen. Still need to see more.

True but did you look at the plays being called by the opposing OC? I said this a couple of times yesterday. Canaduh has no clue what he's doing or how to help his young QB. He had no idea how to handle a HOF QB either. Stroud's pass plays were quick and used most of the field (even a nice 20-yard pass to the TE down the middle). Some will say Stroud works through his progressions but that was rarely the case. He almost always threw to the guy he was staring at - the first read. He had to get the ball out quickly as they knew he had a terrible OL in front of him. The OC made the adjustments needed. Then, you look at our plays and they are high school in comparison. Canaduh is clueless in all aspects. Stroud's WR's were wide-open on most of his throws as well. That sure helps.
Problem with Kenny I've noticed is that he's a very much a first-read quarterback as well at this point. And Canada's first option usually sucks, so it's a lose/lose proposition.

This is the difference between staying in the pocket and running out of a clean pocket. CA3 is wide open if KP stays in and sees him. Instead his back is turned and he runs out of a clean pocket to get sacked.
Truly is amazing the lengths that some of this fanbase will go to protect this sort of QB play. Pirouetting into sacks, missing open receivers, throwing inaccurate balls?

My biggest concern is that he was never projected to have a high upside, so it feels that we are simply delaying the inevitable. Its not like his ceiling was ever going to be Mahomes (i.e. Zach Wilson) or Lamar Jackson (i.e. Justin Fields).

And for those of you that believe that a good OC will change this , take a look at Daboll and Daniel Jones.

Definitely a fair concern. His age and experience was said to have a high floor kind of guy. It was a bad QB draft in 2022 and guys get pushed up boards sometimes. The problem was we seemed to be the only team that did that. There was an entire round and 54 picks later that the next QB went off the board. In my mock along mock I went with Daxton Hill S from Michigan. Hill this year has 2 ints and has looked very good. What if we went Hill and then Pickett in round two. Less pressure and he might still be on the bench learning and not rushed to play. But it is hard to put the genie back in the bottle now that he is starting.

What if what if your Aunt had balls she would be your Uncle.

What if you didn't have daily cooch like agendas.

No evidence that Kenny would have been available in round 2. Chances are he wouldn't have made it to the Steelers.

And it looks like that would have been for the best.

When QB STARVED teams like the Texans (x2), Saints, Panthers, Falcon, and Commanders all pass on a player, that right there should have been the biggest red flag.

Think they have a chance at anything with Mitch or Rudy? You think things are bad now let either one of those yahoos behind center for any significant time and look out.

Anywho looks can be deceiving, Kenny is only 4 games in, no reason to put a stamp on him just yet.

AR and Brady was picked later than expected. Neither showed red flags. Ditto to the 49er QB who is playing Purdy well.

The book isn't complete on Kenny yet. The story is still being written.

I think they have about an equal chance of winning with Mitch and Rudy (MT fared slightly better last year despite playing a much more difficult schedule). The fact that there is such little distinction in skill level between our #1, 2, 3 is a huge cause of concern.

For example, I am not quite sure the offense will look any better/worse if KP can't play this Sunday. Does that sound like the makings of a Franchise QB?

And yes, I agree that the story is still being written. But if you were a betting man, would you put $$ on KP becoming an upper echelon QB? And if so, why?

I’m very sure if we traded up for Stroud or Young this year, not one thing would be different… I don’t think people understand how ****** our O is this year… unless either the oline gets a ton better as it gels, or we restructure our wr routes, we are pretty much doomed…

At this point they need to get an offense established before they worry about bringing in a big asset sink at QB… otherwise we are just going to be the Browns…
