Trubisky or Rudolph?

I don't think it is a lack of arm strength. It is happy feet from being pocket scared. Then it is old college habits that aren't being corrected. That would be his positional coach.

So to recap. ****** OC, ****** O-line coach, ****** QB coach,****** WR coach and a QB not erasing bad habits plus dealing with bad coaching & scheme.

That is lot for a green QB to overcome.

Perhaps a decent vet could come with less bad habits, but still would face the rest of the problems.

So the right one would what squeeze out a few more victories and the Steelers would still be captain mediocre?

Yeah that might just prolong the process of cleaning house.

I actually enjoy debating with you, Slash. At least you are somewhat reasonable, and open to the idea that KP could be part of the problem. My biggest concern when drafting KP (one of many actually) was that half of the fanbase would be blindly, and unreasonably, loyal. And that is starting to come to fruition.

But I am more than happy to tell everyone of my past 1st round mistakes:
  • Artie Burns- Thought his track speed would instantly upgrade or secondary. Wrong...
  • TJ Watt- Thought we only drafted him because of his last name. Even if we did, I was wrong...
  • Devin Bush- Bloodline thing and college tape of an All-Pro. I was wrong, but I am pretty sure the injury has as much to do with this as any.

Sorry man but you really need to see the play from another viewpoint. THIS was a big play that Kenny missed. Pickens is open for a big gain and Kenny doesn't pull the trigger. The more I watch Kenny the more it looks like he doesn't read zone very well and doesn't seem to trust his accuracy. Fast forward to 11:19 below and you will see that play from another angle. The play action held the LB like it was supposed to and if Kenny throws to the hole Pickens is off to the races. So, it was a good play call that was executed horribly.

Good to see from another angle, but still think that the throwing window closed before Pickens made the cut and the pressure was in his face already, I think if he had made the throw he hits a helmet probably

You are getting in the way of his agenda he won't stand for it.

Oh there is no could be about it he is a part of the problem. I just don't believe he is the main problem. I have no idea if he will fix his pocket issues they are there.

If I had to bet he won't do it without some sort of outside help that isn't on the current staff.

If anything I am always reasonable. Sometimes wrong sometimes right.

Usually nice to everyone except two posters that have recurring agendas. Then I tell them about themselves to their dismay.😉

That is an NFL hole in a zone. Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Tua, Cousins, Burrow, etc all making that throw. George is looking for the ball it just never comes. The see George getting frustrated during the game and then I watch the film after and I see a half a dozen big plays left on the field and I understand why. Everyone blames Canada and I get some of it. But it's not like it's all on him. He runs a very basic route combination and tree. And the plays work throughout the league when executed correctly. He just doesn't put any flare on them to maximize opportunities. He is very average/mediocre. He needs guys to execute flawlessly for the offense to work. The problem is we have average/mediocre execution from the QB position. Not a great combination and definitely not a recipe for success.

Franchise QBs make great throws wow I would never have guessed. They are all fortunate they weren't raised in the Steelers scheme.

No most only think Canada is part of the problem, they also think it is Kenny and Tomlin too.

BTW there isn't a QB that wouldn't struggle with the way the O-line is playing. Or the route concepts.

I now return you to your agenda, happy hunting.

@Litos So thank you for being civil and not a child calling names while giving absolutely no facts to the conversation. It is nice having an intelligent conversation.

So I am going to show you some film from Brock Purdy. I mentioned last year and this year how he just sees the hole in zone and throws to the open spot. It is impressive regardless of draft position.

First play is a playaction where he had to throw it in a tight spot and make the decision almost immediately. Hits Ayuik in stride for a nice gain. 1.85 second from snap, to fake hand off to ball out.

If you watch the film you will see two things. 1. Brock reads zone very well and anticipates the receiver open. 2. The route concepts can be pedestrian but they are executed well and there's also some nuances that will help get guys open that we don't really use. We don't look off safeties. We don't use motion effectively.

So again. This is a team with issues. Starts with Art the Deuce, to Tomlin, to Canada, to Pickett. A lot of mediocrity.

You always think your opinions are facts. Again you talk down to many posters so your cry for name calling is silly.🤡

In Mahomes down year, with no O-Line or receivers, he had nearly 3x the TD's as KP has during his 17 game career. And Herbert's rookie year is equally as impressive.

A true franchise QB would make this O look infinitely better, because thats what they do- elevate the entire team around them. Their greatness doesn't depend on having a perfect environment.

Now would we be a 40+ point team? Absolutely not, given the playbook and talent. But KP left at least 14 points on the board on Sunday with his decision making, walking into sacks, etc. And that typically does not occur with Elite QB's, or QB's on their way to becoming elite (i.e. Stroud).
Kenny has also gotten of the hook a few times with balls that should have been easy interceptions.
Kenny would be lucky to be an nfl backup in a few years.

Maybe...we'll see Nostradamus.

I think he can still be a decent NFL QB. Not a hall of famer but solid starter. Maybe squeezes out a couple of pro bowl seasons.

Looks like it will be neither Kenny practiced in full today.

Highsmith might be out though as he didn't practice due to a groin.

You still beating your chest in support for Harris??
Not really. I am ok with him but he isn't a game to game threat to be accounted for.

He is a try hard player that can gain yards after contact. Not overly explosive but would fit good in a heavy run blocking capable O-line.

Nobody fits good in Canada's crayon cathedral.

All I have for ya.😉
