Trump ****-cans N. Korea Summit

I think people are WAY ahead of themselves on this N. Korea thing. Yes, this first summit was a great thing and a very positive step, but this is a marathon, and any deal with N. Korea hasn't even hit mile marker one in the race yet. Just getting them to the table feels like a victory in itself, but they have been to the table before. Given the Norks' history, I would put the victory celebrations on hold for now. I remain cautiously optimistic, but very skeptical. Still think this is stunt on the Norks part.

No sanctions relief for North Korea until 'complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization'

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held a press conference with his Japanese and South Korean counterparts Thursday morning in Singapore to elaborate on the post Trump-Kim summit strategy for denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.

Pompeo called the Singapore meetings between President Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un an enormous opportunity and turning point for advancing North Korea's relations with the U.S., its neighbors in Asia, and the rest of the global community.

Pompeo reiterated that both leaders are committed to complete, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization before adding that the process would involve considerable coordination with Japan and South Korea.

North Korea to Destroy Tongchang-ri ICBM Test Site

The missile test site North Korean leader Kim Jong-un promised U.S. President Donald Trump to destroy is a large-scale facility in Tongchang-ri, North Pyongan Province. The regime conducted a vital test of an engine for intercontinental ballistic missiles there last year.

The North conducted a combustion test for a new high-powered liquid-fuel engine at Tongchang-ri on March 18 last year and succeeded in test-launching a Hwasong-14 ICBM with that engine four months later. The Hwasong-14 reportedly has a range of 10,000 km, placing the western U.S. mainland within range

S. Korea, U.S. likely to announce suspension of combined military drills this week

SEOUL, June 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korea and the United States are expected to announce their decision to suspend large-scale combined military exercises this week amid dialogue with North Korea, a government source here said Sunday.

In the announcement, the allies are likely to include a "snapback" clause, the source said, hinting that the exercises would resume should the communist regime fail to deliver on its denuclearization commitment.

After his historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump said that he will stop "provocative, inappropriate and expensive" exercises with the South, which Pyongyang has decried as an invasion rehearsal.

"The South Korean and U.S. military authorities have been having close consultations over the combined exercises that U.S. President Donald Trump has said he will stop," a source said on condition of anonymity.

"This week, the South Korean and U.S. defense ministries will jointly announce the results of their discussions," the source added.

N.Korea Offers to Remove Long-Range Artillery from Frontline

North Korean delegates at cross-border military talks in the truce village of Panmunjom last Thursday offered to move their long-range artillery pieces from the military demarcation line to rear areas, a source said Sunday.

The Defense Ministry denied it, but the source said, "The North Korean delegates brought it up first as a matter of principle." This would go a long way toward reducing military tensions. It is not known why the North made the offer or what it expects in return.

Only Trump haters, if they consider all the evidence and actions to date concerning North Korea, would spin this as bad for South Korea or U.S. interests.

Trump Derangement Syndrome and hate have created illogical, whiny anti-American ******** that care more about their "progressive stance" and #nevertrump hashtags than actual accomplishments that benefit so many.

They are going to lose 2020 in a ******* landslide the way it's going that only impeachment will stop (which they will hang their hats on until the end of 2024).

Satellite images show North Korea upgrading nuclear research facility: report
http://thehill.com/policy/internati...rth-korea-upgrading-nuclear-research-facility

Satellite images from last week show that North Korea is making numerous improvements to the infrastructure at a nuclear research facility, according to a new study.
The images, obtained by North Korea analysis outlet 38 North, come just weeks after President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un signed an agreement that called for a denuclearized Korean Peninsula.

The satellite photos indicate that North Korea is quickly progressing on several adjustments to the Yongbyon Nuclear Scientific Research Center. The improvements include a new cooling water pump house, multiple new buildings, completed construction on a cooling water reservoir and an apparently active radiochemical laboratory. It is unclear whether the reactor is still in operation, the report said.

38 North notes that North Korean nuclear officials are expected to proceed with “business as usual” until Kim orders official changes to procedure.

The agreement between Trump and Kim, signed at the historic summit in Singapore earlier this month, commits the U.S. to “security guarantees” in exchange for a denuclearized Korean Peninsula. Critics said that the deal was unspecific and gave too much to North Korea without securing anything for the U.S. in return.

Ahead of the meeting between the two leaders, North Korea claimed to have destroyed its Punggye-ri nuclear testing site.

Like Bill Maher rooting for a recession...

Liberals are so filled with hate they would rather see Kim Jong Un launch a nuke and kill millions than have to applaud Trump for his progress. Wait...isn't that a Democratic word?

Sick lot of ********.

Here is Trump's BFF, showing his true colors. It's a ******* shame what this farce of a president has done, kissing *** and heaping praise on this known henchman, murderer and dictator. And shame on all those that continue to support this bullshit president.

Kim Jong Un ordered army officer executed after giving soldiers extra food: report
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/0...-after-giving-soldiers-extra-food-report.html

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reportedly ordered a high ranking army officer to be executed after he was accused of giving extra food and fuel rations to troops and their families.

Daily NK
reported that Hyon Ju Song, the lieutenant general of the Korean People’s Army in the country’s capital, Pyongyang, was executed by a firing squad for “charges of abusing authority and engaging in anti-Party acts.”

Hyon was reportedly a rising star in the army before his death. He served as a member of the Workers' Party of Korea's Central Committee and battalion commander under the Supreme Guard Command.

"While checking the oil supplies for the Sohae Satellite Launching Station during the comprehensive inspections of wartime supplies on April 10, Hyon stated, ‘We no longer have to suffer and tighten our belts to make rockets or nuclear weapons.’ This was seen as an abuse of authority and a treasonous statement that opposed the Party’s military-first policy,” a source told Daily NK.

The source said Hyon ordered “2,000 pounds of fuel, 1,300 pounds of rice, and 1,600 pounds of corn to military officers at the Launching Station and their families.”

“This was considered an anti-Party act violating the Ten Principles for the Establishment of the Party’s One-Ideology System,” the source said.

The officer was also accused of “failing to maintain secrecy regarding the affairs of the Party, military, and government institutions, displaying generosity by distributing unauthorized handouts, and misrepresenting the ideology of the Party,” the source said.

A different source told Daily NK that Kim was infuriated when he heard of the reports and ordered the officer’s execution. Hyon was placed on trial before he was brought in front of the firing squad, the source said.

“The ideological poisoning that is personal idolization is corrupting the chief personnel in the People’s Army. We must nip the bud of ideological poisoning,” the source quoted Kim as saying.

In the meantime, I'm waiting on you to explain the basis of Obama's Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump got Kim to a table to discuss this issue - outside of his own country, beyond his walls. Something Clinton and Bummer and the Bushes couldn't do. An amazing feat.

But Obama was given a Nobel Prize for....Wait, what???

For his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples".

Tibs....you immense genius. Do us all a favor and rationalize wth this means. I mean you worshipped at the feet of the FBP. All the amazing work he did to improve this country right? The man who will be remembered for forcing boys into our daughters showers. Anyway. Could you please, since you are so amazingly enlightened, like the Great Orator himself, bestow upon us all the knowledge and wisdom that is required to comprehend the meaning of "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples".

Meanwhile, Evil Orange Hair Donald Trump drives results. Gets evil despots out of countries. Negotiates and lowers the risk of nuclear war. Lowers unemployment. Improves economy. Destroys terrorists. Increases foreign investment in USA. Overall, improves world. But he...he bad guy.

HOWEVER, Bummer!!!! FBP!!!!!! No results, wonderful speaker, and he fill out March Madness brackets. Hip kinda guy. Clueless overall, but....He amazing. Cuz he improves cooperation between peoples.

Seriously. Just seriously, what in the ever living hell does that phrase even mean?

Yeah. Good luck explaining the meaning of the Obummer Nobel Prize while simultaneously telling us all, with your Hungarian. hide behind a wall while petting your kitties, protected from immigrants condescension.....just how evil Trump is.

Grabbing my popcorn now....

PS...your postscript should be how Hilldabest would have improved on the landslide advancements the Odummer brought to all of us...

Un is a horrible person, Tibs. But he is not worth going to war over. He is not worth a nuclear holocaust and Chinese response.

Should Un be put into a death camp? Yes. Do we have the will to do so? No. So get him to give up Nukes.

We entered into nuclear treaties with the USSR, which killed a lot more people than Un. Was doing so an endorsement of the Russians? No. Was it a good idea to try and avoid nuclear annihilation? Yes.

US relocates Army HQ from Seoul after 70 years

SEOUL – The US Army’s headquarters in South Korea, located in the capital Seoul since the end of WWII, has moved to a $11B base in the rural south – away from mass protest rallies and the North’s guns.

The new United States Forces Korea (USFK) headquarters was opened on Friday at Camp Humphreys, a base near the town Pyeongtaek, about 70 kilometers (45 miles) south of Seoul, where the HQ was stationed for more than 70 years

Moving the USFK HQ further away from the DMZ means that it will be harder to hit with North Korea’s artillery whose guns are aimed across the border and capable of striking Seoul.

bout time I guess, they got party girls in the south?

From what I understand the administration is wondering if Kim even has control of the military. We will see.

He does tend to eliminate challengers. Quinn reporting that he's been retiring the old guard who worked for his father. Who knows, maybe he got a look at Singapore and wondered why his country is a shithole with no electricity fighting a non-existent war.

I remember when you voted for a president because he could make major foreign policy moves when nobody was looking, so you really had to trust him. And you voted for congress for domestic policies. I think we are back to that standard, and I really like how it is working out on the president thing.

Back to the drawing board, I guess. Too bad Trump basically sprained his wrist patting himself on the back declaring this a done deal a few weeks ago. I'm hoping something can still be worked out, but looks like this deal is in tatters. Or more succinctly, there never was a deal based on anything specific, just a lot of posturing, grandstanding and photo ops.

North Korea: US is making 'gangster-like' demands on denuclearisation
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-44751283

North Korea has accused the US of using "gangster-like" tactics to push it towards nuclear disarmament after a fresh round of high-level talks.

It branded the US attitude at the meeting as "extremely troubling".

The statement, by an unnamed foreign ministry official, gave a starkly different account from one provided by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo just hours before.

He had said progress was made during his two-day visit to Pyongyang.

It is the first time he has visited North Korea since a summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un in Singapore.

The leader's meeting ended with a promise from Mr Kim to work towards denuclearisation, but details on how this will be achieved remain thin.

A key aim of Mr Pompeo during his visit was to firm up North Korea's commitment to disarmament.

But the North Korean statement, carried by the official KCNA news agency, said the US had gone against the spirit of the summit by putting unilateral pressure on the country to abandon its nuclear weapons.

"We had anticipated the US side would come with a constructive idea, thinking we would take something in return," the North Korean statement said, warning its "resolve for denuclearisation... may falter".

"The US is fatally mistaken if it went to the extent of regarding that [North Korea] would be compelled to accept, out of its patience, demands reflecting its gangster-like mindset," it added.

******* North Koreans. I had my doubts but didn't think talks would be breaking down this early.

Trump should drop a couple MOABs on them, a “speed it up” message.
