Fox News’ Ratings Tank As They Attempt To Ignore Trump White House Scandals

Fox News’ proclivity for downplaying the biggest White House scandal in decades has finally hit the network where it hurts: ratings.
As CNN and MSNBC picked apart the Trump-Russia investigation, combing through the latest information and analyzing each aspect of the story, Fox News decided to deride reports as “fake news”, accuse the media of mistreating the president, and in general portray the entire story as insignificant.
According to Mediaite, CNN and MSNBC won this round, as both networks saw an increase in viewership. Fox News lost its number one primetime spot to competitors this week, indicating that consumers are flocking to hear the latest developments – not to hear how bored Fox is with the controversy.
Another possibility, says Mediaite, is that Fox’s viewers are no longer tuning it at all, citing a Trump supporter who told the Associated Press this week she has tuned out because the news is too depressing.
Whatever the reasons, it is becoming apparent that Fox News played well when there was a Democratic president, and stories like Benghazi could dominate its airwaves. But now that Fox is faced with soothing viewers’ concerns about the newly elected president, the thrill is gone, and it has taken many viewers with it.
