Fox News’ Ratings Tank As They Attempt To Ignore Trump White House Scandals

https://theintellectualist.co/fox-n...attempt-to-ignore-trump-white-house-scandals/

Fox News’ proclivity for downplaying the biggest White House scandal in decades has finally hit the network where it hurts: ratings.

As CNN and MSNBC picked apart the Trump-Russia investigation, combing through the latest information and analyzing each aspect of the story, Fox News decided to deride reports as “fake news”, accuse the media of mistreating the president, and in general portray the entire story as insignificant.

According to Mediaite
, CNN and MSNBC won this round, as both networks saw an increase in viewership. Fox News lost its number one primetime spot to competitors this week, indicating that consumers are flocking to hear the latest developments – not to hear how bored Fox is with the controversy.

Another possibility, says Mediaite, is that Fox’s viewers are no longer tuning it at all, citing a Trump supporter who told the Associated Press this week she has tuned out because the news is too depressing.

Whatever the reasons, it is becoming apparent that Fox News played well when there was a Democratic president, and stories like Benghazi could dominate its airwaves. But now that Fox is faced with soothing viewers’ concerns about the newly elected president, the thrill is gone, and it has taken many viewers with it.

We see the Left is now fine with political assassinations. Because, well, it's got to be our way or no way. People's lives? Irrelevant.

Wasn't "If it saves just ONE life" a Liberally coined phrase?

#Hypocrisy

The election of Trump didn't create this irrational, unhinged hate on display by the Left, it exposed it. And it's really fun to watch. I cannot wait for their reactions when they finally realize that there was no collusion between Trump and Russia. Mass suicides, baby!

And ostensibly that is why Flynn is refusing to cooperate with the Senate Investigation, because 'there was no collusion between Trump and Russia.' They are so god-damned innocent, they'd rather not use this opportunity to clear their names.

President Donald Trump's fired national security adviser will refuse to hand over files to a Senate panel probing alleged Russian political meddling.

According to US media, Michael Flynn plans to invoke his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.

The Senate Intelligence Committee is investigating possible links between the Trump campaign and Kremlin.

Mr Flynn left in February, after it emerged he lied about the nature of his contacts with the Russian ambassador.

The committee issued a subpoena - a legal summons - two weeks ago to obtain the documents.

The FBI and two congressional committees are investigating claims that Russian hackers tried to help Mr Trump win last November's presidential election, and that members of his election campaign colluded with the alleged Kremlin conspiracy.

My Flynn's lawyer has previously demanded immunity from "unfair prosecution" in order to co-operate with the committee.

Have you for one second thought that he could be guilty of something here that he alone is responsible for? Taking the 5th does not mean anything other than he personally has something to hide. It sounds like he had some backroom deals on his own long before he was working for Trump probably while he was still working for Obama. Hell for all we know he has damning info on Obama or Hillary and does not want to end up killing himself like Vince.

why should Flynn cooperate? what if there is something that can be misconstrued and harm him?
if there was something that can be proven, then let the facts and evidence be shown.

the fifth amendment was put there for a reason, LONG before anyone had heard of Bryan Pagliano or Mike Flynn.
and we saw what came out of the investigation where Pagliano was concerned. a lot of shredded documents, deleted emails, cell phones smashed with hammers...

the left sure hates it when the game is played by the rules they invent for themselves.

Didn't Trump fire Flynn?

Nothing to see here.

Trump told advisors ousting Flynn was mistake: report
http://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...ld-advisors-firing-flynn-was-a-mistake-report

President Trump has told aides and advisors that ousting former national security adviser Michael Flynn was a mistake, Politico reported Friday.

Flynn resigned in February after misleading officials, including Vice President Mike Pence, on contacts he had with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the 2016 campaign.

Trump frequently defends Flynn to those around him, telling them in private that Flynn was a “good man,” the report said.

Trump has also reportedly told those around him that he wishes the investigation into Flynn would go away.“A lot of people in the White House don’t want anything to do with Flynn,” a White House official told Politico. ”But Trump loves him. He thinks everyone is out to get him.”

Trump continues to defend Flynn despite reminders from White House counsel Don McGahn and others of the investigation into Flynn’s connections with Russia and his lobbying on behalf of foreign governments, according to the report, and Trump hasn’t been swayed by those stories or a subpoena from the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Trump adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner is also reportedly a defender of Flynn within the White House, and supported his hiring as national security adviser.

Former campaign officials told Politico that Trump and Flynn became close on the campaign trail as Flynn became one of the first prominent national security figures to endorse Trump. Trump’s continued defense of Flynn is based in part on a sense of loyalty.

“Think of it like a family that fights, not a group of politicals who throw each other under the bus,” an associate of Flynn reportedly said. “Flynn and the president have been through quite a lot together.”

Flynn and Trump are reportedly still in contact, with Trump recently telling him to “stay strong” amid a strong of controversies surrounding the general.

Flynn has come under intense scrutiny for his time working as a lobbyist for the government of Turkey. The New York Times reported Wednesday that the Trump transition team, headed by Vice President Mike Pence, knew about Flynn being under investigation for working as a foreign lobbyist during the campaign.

McClatchy also reported Wednesday that Flynn delayed an ISIS attack plan that aligned with Turkey’s interests.

The Left...............Look what this news report said, there must have been a crime. Impeach Trump.
The Right.............There is an investigation going on. We have an impartial investigator. Why don't we wait for the facts.

Nice try hamster, but let's break this down truthfully how it's playing out on this board:

The Left...............There is an investigation going on. We have an impartial investigator. Why don't we have a civil discussion on the subject as we wait for the facts.
The Right............ This is fake news, made up by disgruntled Dems, it's a liberal media witchhunt, there isn't an ounce of truth to it, should be ignored at all cost

This spells it all out. This shows the witch hunt in action. No one can argue with Newt's comments during an interview today speaking about the one-sidedness of these investigations:

Bill Clinton got $500,000 from a Russian bank while his wife was Secretary of State. The Clinton Foundation got millions from Russians indirectly through a foundation in Canada while the Secretary of State approved 20% of our uranium supplies going to Russia. The chairman of the Clinton campaign has a brother who's a registered agent for a Russian bank in Moscow. I mean, if we're gonna talk about context, then let's talk about all the context. I'm for it. I think we Americans have to understand we're the most powerful country in the world. Influencing our Capitol city is a big business. Many, many countries do it in a wide variety of ways and I wish the Congress would have some fairly open hearings about foreign efforts to shape America through a variety of influence devices, including giving money to universities, giving money to think tanks....there's a lot of stuff going on here. But this is narrowed down on...and I don't know why the Republicans tolerate this. This is narrowed down to one question about one candidate when in fact all of the visible evidence is that the Clintons over the years had vastly more contact with the Russians and the Clinton organization had vastly more contact with the Russians. Somehow, that's ok. I just want somebody to explain to me what's the difference? Why is everything the Clintons do ignored while we're trying to figure out whether or not the former CIA Director might have seen something which might be important enough that they might look at it, but he has no conclusion. Well if he has no conclusion, how come the press has all this coverage of a topic about which we currently know nothing?"

Has anyone stopped to consider the fact that Collusion is not a crime? Not saying he did but even if he did so the **** what it is not illegal. That being the case where is the Crime they are investigating?

Because Republican.

If what you colluded to do is a crime, collusion is a crime. I'm quite certain this isn't lost on the FBI and special investigator.

OK so what's the crime they colluded to do? Influencing elections is not a crime fixing an election would be a crime and that is not what they did. Trying to influence and election is something that we do in foreign countries all the time and something that every special interest in PAC does all the time.

The 5th Ammendment sure was fine for Lois Lerner.

ElfTibLodyte and others were telling us, "nothing to see here" no crime committed, you are all conspiracy theorists. Lois Lerner has a right not to speak.

Now, when a Republican uses the 5th?

Really, what you're seeing are a lot of people still just PISSED that they were wrong. Wrong when they laughed at Trump. Wrong when they said he couldn'twin the election. Humiliated and embarrassed when he took the oath. Everybody gets a medal, and no one ever loses - it's the ref's fault, the coach's fault, blah blah blah. Trump didn't win, no...I wasn't wrong in my prediction, no. Somehow we got cheated. And we're pissed. And we're gonna burn this mother f#@!er down.

That's your Russian scandal in a thimble.

It's been lost on everyone in the media and on the left when the Clintons, their organizations, and their in-laws were and have been colluding with the Russians.

It would have to go from influence to interference which admittedly seems like a real reach to define and prove. The other possibility is that Flynn did something illegal on Trump's behalf and with his knowledge.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a very real disease. Liberals have always been irrational and unrealistic. TDS causes them to become unhinged, violent and even more ignorant of facts than they normally are. The only cure for it is the sweet relief provided by suici....n/m.
