Two weeks left playoff scenarios

One would think that… but it hasn’t always been past practice… and i have never understood why

It’s about viewership

I wouldn’t care so much if it wasn’t a pattern… During the original “ unleash hell” season of 2009, we lost three in a row after a 6-2 start… including a loss to a KC team that would finish 4-12… Tomlin announces that we will unleash hell, and we promptly lose two more to teams that both finish 5-11….

Then win 3 straight to close the season at 9-7… the final two wild card teams finished 9-7… we win just one of those games during that 5 game stretch and we make the playoffs, two and we win the division…
Tomlin is tge king of barely missing or making the playoffs

That's right.

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

People still wanting this abomination to somehow make the playoffs which will undoubtedly get Mikey T an extension......

Please. Just stop.

I don't really care if the Steelers make the playoffs. But I care a lot if the Packers make the playoffs, and the Steelers beating Seattle is key in the Packers getting in.

The Packers play on Sunday Night Football against the Vikes. So, the whole state of Wisconsin will be watching the 3 pm game on FOX, which is obviously Steelers vs. Seattle.

You have one job Pittsburgh. Beat Seattle. Then your feeling sorry for themselves fan base can go back to their loser mentality of wanting to lose for better draft position, or whatever it is you all are whining about at this time.

An obviously horrendous call by the refs in the Steelers and Packers game handed Pitt a W, so the least the Steelers could do is show up and take care of business in Seattle.

Stop whining and let's F'n Go Pittsburgh!

I can't see a way that we win in Seattle. The atmosphere, west coast game, coming off a win and feeling good about ourselves. This screams a blow out loss. If we lose Sunday, hopefully we lose out and end the no losing seasons BS.

Seattle 27
Pittsburgh 13

A tie with Seattle would be so mediocre Mike setting up the path to 8-8-1

The standard
The "Fire everyone" crews are always so funny. Who do you plan to replace Mike Tomlin with? Harbaugh isn't coming to Pittsburgh, get over that dream. Ben Johnson? Not happening. Perhaps the Steelers could lure Kellen Moore to Pittsburgh and then win 5 games a season for the next 4 years, before firing him. Good plan!

You obviously don't know dick about this team. Go crawl back in your cheeseball and **** yourself to sleep.

**** the Packers.

Ask yourself who the Packers were going to replace Mike McCarthy with because McCarthy and Tomlin basically had the same resume except McCarthy had better playoff success.

Still butthurt over Super Bowl 45 I see. We will all pray for you.

Great fan base ya got here Steelers fans.

How embarrassing.
Weak trolling.

Anywho the fire everyone crews won't be outdone by the keep this coach because you are afraid of not finding someone better crews.

The worst reason to keep a coach.

I'm not saying you should NEVER replace a head coach. Sometimes the message grows old and it's time to move on. Perhaps that is the case in Pitt, but as I said, who do you want to replace him? Don't just say fire everyone. That is what I find amusing.

The Packers hired Matt LaFleur in 2019. Matt LaFleur went to 2 straight NFC Championship games after McCarthy's Packers were 6-9-1 in 2018. Matt LaFleur has 56 wins in less than 5 years as head coach of the Pack.

If Matt LaFleur gets the Packers in the playoffs this year he will get coach of the year. A first year starting QB and the youngest team in the NFL.

If the Steelers can find a Matt LaFleur, then by all means move on from Tomlin. Brian Gutekunst has a lot to do with what goes on in Green Bay as well. Not sure Tomlin has a great GM in Omar Khan. We will see what happens.

This is why I asked who you want to replace Tomlin?

We have tackled this who to replace him with in another thread before. There really is a decent amount of interesting options out there.

Some here, don’t really care what you care about………………………..

And I’m sure you were first in-line screaming you want “La’Flavor” before the GB-Packers even thought about hiring him……

You started out pretty good on this board, but have fast lessened your value here.

The ONLY respect I give the GB Packers is out of respect for my Late DAD, that was his last of life team.

EDIT: Brett Favre,…….. anything else???

You suggested the Steelers would only be able to get an unqualified candidate for a head coach in Kellen Moore. We have other threads with pretty extensive lists of candidates we'd like to see interviewed.

I mean since lombardi retiree, the packers have had 11 head coaches.. the Steelers have had 4… the last 3 they hired coordinators with zero HC experience and each won a superbowl and made multiple Super Bowls…

Ill take the Steelers process over anyone elses

An offensive mind, not a turtle…or anyone competent and hungry-soooo many good candidates

If ya wanna follow the Steelers just get it over with already and fully immerse yourself on the mediocrity pool

Nobody said anything about Kellen Moore and Ben Johnson would be lucky to be the dude, now go back to being moronic up in cheeseland

On NFL.com if they both win today Bengals have a 58 percent chance of making if they beat KC. Pitt has 32 percent chance if they win. Bengals have not even won a division game and their Conference record therefore has to suck.

The odds of them beating KC is better than the odds of us beating Baltimore, in todays current standings.

But is that taken into account in playoff picture or is it based upon if everyone was tied? As in if the Steelers win out and Bengals win out who is in. If it's just taking into account matchup difficulty I don't give a ****. That doesn't mean anything.

I think it i because of week 18 we hve the harder matchup. that i why stats can lie sometime.
