Art thinks the surveys don't count because they are given to the media but not 1st to the teams directly? Huh? I fail to see how/why that matters.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...r-marks-prefers-direct-feedback-from-players/

I fail to see the logic/reasoning here. The players are asked to rate the teams in these categories, the players answered them and because Art comes off looking poor he tries to discredit the surveys because the results are given to the media? I don't follow.

The Steelers, who want to be known as "family friendly" sure score poorly in related categories. That must hurt. I guess their daycare efforts are really lame. I mean, how much $ would efforts really cost there? Pennies. And get some freakin dietitians/nutritions.

I know these results were discussed previously but not Art's comments to them.

He prefers direct feedback from the players as the survey isn’t done at the behest of the owners and isn’t presented to the owners.

And he thinks players will give the guy who writes their checks honest feedback? OK, there, Art II, come back to earth when you get a chance. No one is gonna tell you that your premises suck for having no daycare or your food is bad for athletes. But asked their opinions for anonymous feedback? And you will get their true opinions. Deal with it, Art.

Maybe he is just one of those entitled privileged white guys that can’t take criticism?

Maybe?… I don’t know?

You are advancing the idea that a guy like TJ Watt, who may be as untouchable as it gets, is hesitant to talk to Rooney about something? These players aren't some low level grunts or something. With their contracts and impact on the cap you can't just fire a player. You are the same guy complaining every chance you get that the Steelers don't discipline guys. If that is true, why would they be so scared to talk to Rooney?
Daycare? How many of you guys have daycare at your jobs? It's ridiculous. This is much to do about nothing. You just need a reason to whine about something, don't you?

As we have seen in New Orleans the f- on there dining is already being addressed and the players know it yet still graded them low despite the ongoing construction of a totally new gourmet facility. So I am sure they take some this with a na nnoying grain of salt. Much of it likely needs context.

I find the daycare thing silly. Now proper food, supplementation and strength&conditioning, I'd go top tier on.

Of course, it goes both ways. Do you want all the extras? Well, then I'd make a voluntary program you would have to be all in year round or you are on your own.

Everyone benefits.

Didn't the same survey have Tomlin as a top 2 or 3 coach? So maybe due e is onto something. But let's ***** about it regardless

How dare you say that about the family that gave us all the Rooney Rule.

Now if every team but the Steelers offer day care it would look bad... no?

So true. Should we take that as gospel?

The Steelers player payroll for 2023 was $154,933,034.
Minus daycare though. I could care less either way but if 31 other teams offer it then maybe we are slowly turning into the cheap Bengals of old it might seem.:(

What we have turned into is a perennial mediocre football team.

If daycare and every pampering luxury lifestyle perk gets them superbowl wins, then by all means let's build a full day spa complete with the best chefs money can buy.
I'm sure Robert Kraft &Deshaun Watson can give us the numbers of the finest massage therapists in the buisness.

Full childcare 24/7 as needed run by women with the temperament of Mary Poppins and the intelligence of Marilyn vos Savant.

A full maid service for every player, plus handyman/chauffeur.

Nothing but the very best of everything....😁.

I'm thinking the Steelers should pay 100% of the federal and state taxes on player salary as well.

I don't think it would be asking too much to buy a carribean island and build a resort on it for the players, family and friends.

That all will bring in the best of the best FAs. Just imagine what Tomlin will do with all of that.......Multiple SBs? Fingers crossed.:D

The Steeler gym equipment is dependant on who gives them free stuff, not even kidding. Those players more serious about their strength and conditioning work out at a gym down the road.

I just sitting here laughing thinking about Jack Lambert worrying about daycare. Are we this much of a pusssy society?

YES, sorry to say that these players ar coddled from 3rd grade on. Can’t make a commensense decision yet alone a pronunciation sentence……… What do you expect? (Not you personally diver)

I found the problem————— they all want to exchange to a “handy-woman”

I'm a computer dope...if I knew how I'd post a couple of pictures. I remember seeing pictures of the 70s Steelers working out at training camp on the weights. It's pretty much a bar with some plates on the grass. I remember seeing some pictures with them under some kind of a tent. Type in 70s Steelers lifting weights and go to images and you'll see what I mean. Anyway, they won a lot of games. I don't think whatever is the Steelers weight room has anything to do with their success or lack there of.
