We are being badly misled about the Ukraine-Russia war

So Zelenskyy has thanked Trump, when will Trump apologize to Putin? Or is that what he is doing?

You oughta remove your shiiit filled TDS goggles for a bit.

While I have several issues with the war in Ukraine, my biggest issue is the money. We don’t have it. As a nation, we’re busted. Broke. There shouldn’t be a nickel going anywhere outside the nation until that is solved. I mean, it’s great to help people, but it’s past time to be realistic. So many parasitic entities feeding off the US taxpayer. The host is going to die eventually, and the parasites couldn’t care less. It’s like they believe it can’t happen. Unfortunately, when the host dies there will be nowhere else to turn. We are borrowing money to give to other nations and fueling our own demise in the process. It’s ****** up.

Don’t know exactly all that “security assurances” entailed, but I’m sure it would include arms funding.

No, Zelensky is demanding - repeat, DEMANDING - US troops in Ukraine or admission to NATO. Neither is going to happen and only an idiot with as little bargaining power as him would make those demands.

So here we are….Russia broke its promise and we kept ours.

Hypocycloids, that is just not accurate. When the Soviet Union broke up in 1991, the United States promised that it would not move NATO further East. The United States has funded and promoted "regime change" in Eastern Europe since then and has been the driving force towards admitting an additional 17 nations to NATO, including Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Lativia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia. Several of those were former Warsaw Pact members and the addition of the Baltic nations (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) particularly enraged Russia since the Baltic nations have access to the Black Sea, a key strategic area for Russia.

This is really no different than Russia setting up military alliances with Mexico and Canada and putting large number of Russian troops and weapons, including nuclear weapons, in those nations. Didn't we have some sort of tiff with Russia in the 1960's about them placing nuclear weapons off our coast? Yes, I believe we did.

Yeah, it’s bad. But the truth of the matter is that it was going well until Zelenskyy rejected the cease fire. Sitting there with his arms crossed and rolling his eyes. **** that guy. I wouldn’t give them another nickel, weapon, repair part or round of ammunition. Tell Zelenskyy to get bent.

Agreed 100%. Worse, audio clearly evidences Zelensky muttering the insult, "*****" to Vance while he was talking about Ukraine forcing conscription due to its manpower shortages.

Edit: The insult rhymes with "itch."

It’s not about Trump having a problem with Zelenskyy’s hatred of Putin you clown.
It’s about Zelenskyy coming to Washington having no intention of agreeing on any deal, but rather to harp on how evil Putin is…how Putin is this and how Putin is that…expecting Trump and Vance to cheer him on with fists pumping. This was not supposed to be a Putin bashing gathering.
I think Zelenskyy is looking only for American boots on the ground which he has no chance of getting.

Take 20 min of your time to listen to Rubio in this video.
Time well spent. It may save you from posting further comments this ignorant….. on this subject anyway.

Here is the video:

I shouldn’t be surprised. What an idiot.

I’m 1/4 Ukrainian.
Cyka by the way is pronounced sue-kah.
Angry at your girl? Pretend to politely call her a sue kah.

Step out of your bubble.

“You see the hatred he has for Putin. That’s very tough for me to make a deal with that kind of hate” - Donald Trump

So stating a FACT about Putin reneging on a prior ceasefire is bashing him?

You really are Zelensky's little Cyka. His hate for Putin, warranted or not, is going to get a lot more people killed. I think Zelensky may be just as bad as Putin.

The main problem I have with the current conflict in Ukraine is that we instigated it by pushing NATO eastwards and staging the color revolution that brought Zelinski to power.

The second thing that makes further funding this debacle is that winning a war breaks down to two things: 1 material 2 manpower. The Ukrainians no longer have the manpower so even with us flooding money and equipment into Ukraine they are still going to lose without outside troops. I am against sending American troops there on General principle because it isn’t our war. I am also against sending American troops there because it will precipitate World War III anybody that says it won’t (Im talking to you FlogManBun) is an absolute booger, eating moron.

I think sending troops should definitely be off the table, but I do not think it would start WWIII. What countries would oppose the US and its allies? China would obviously be the biggest threat, but I do not think it would be dumb enough to get deeply involved. China would have very little to gain and everything to lose. Iran, NK? What are they realistically going to do? You are going to have world superpowers (US, UK, France, Canada, etc etc) going again Russia and their aging tech / military and small countries that could be wiped in an instant. Only issue would be if Russia resorted to launching nukes. I would think if russia was even seriously considering a launch they would be facing unprecedented bombing and have trouble getting them off.

You just named two of the three biggest nuclear arsenals in the world as potential opponents. Russia, China, and Iran could field almost 4,000,000 troops: Russia 890,000, China 2,000,000 and Iran 960,000.

Oh, and Russia and China can build their weaponry. The United States relies on China to supply needed materials such as antimony, titanium, tungsten, cobalt and lithium to build its weapons, including ammunition and NVG. The United States also relies on Taiwan for computer chips to run its tanks, aircraft, guided weapons, etc.

The United States and Russia were the engines driving the allies materiel supplies in WWII. The United States is now unable to do so. Your dismissive attitude about the United States' current state and its undeniable reliance on potential enemies to supply crucial materials for its war-making capabilities simply underscores the widespread ethos in this nation denying our vulnerability and reliance on foreign nations.

"tHeN No TaREffS on ChYnA!!"

Or tariffs needed to bring that manufacturing back home.

That scene yesterday was so ridiculous on all fronts.

Do you think it was planned. Either because zelensky shat on our emissary Scott Bessent? Or because they want to appear unattached at the hip with Ukriane?
In order to better negotiate with Putin?

OR

Was it really just a ****** exchange and an unprepared zelinsky? I DO think his English not being up to par hurt his communications there.
He is ESL and in his interview on FOX with Brett Baier he had to get help help from off camera for some words.
