WoWsA- Week 10 already, our beloved STEELERS sitting at 6-2
OK, I see this match up as being our toughest to date. Coach Tomlin warned his group (team) of Jayden Danials by saying "Danials is one of the main components of why they're a dangerous group". At 7-2 (1sr place in the NFC East), have beaten the Bungles & Browns but lost to the ravens & Buccaneers. Not an overpowering schedule, but still formidable.
Return to full practice Justin Fields / Zack Frazier / Corderrelle Patterson / Metakevich & Skowroniek, (both could be gone by Friday). Also read a BS "click" article talking about a major decision by coach Tomlin on weather to return to start Justin Fields or not, desperate Author.
PITTSBURGH at Washington
1st Tie Breaker- Total Yards, both pass and rush, by Justin Fields.
2nd Tie Breaker- Total sacks combined with takeaways (My friend Paul, this is for the steelers defense)
3rd Tie Breaker- Total bushels of leaves collected, including about two more loads.
--------------------Helpfull hint, it is OVER 2,000. This one is for BLITZ as I know he likes to count bushels.
My Pick
new thinking HC, 2 additional players, #3 rank defense, Moon Ball, ---------------------------- 26.5
Redskins-Ooopps, I mean Commanders, #15 rank defense, scrambled eggs QB, -------------- 17.5
1) 16
2) 5
3) 2,001 HHHhahahhaaaaaaaaaaa,
Help yourself, while helping others. One more good deed but take note on the safety actions used in this ordeal.
Update: Back-Story I was driving home late (1:30am) from a rodeo that I volunteer at. On a state highway I came up on a car headed opposite direction, with emergency flashers on. I pulled up and stopped about 30 feet before them. The guy started coming my way and I shouted out window to stay there and what was wrong.? He stopped and said they had run out of gas. I shouted back that I live about 3 miles away and will go get a gas can with gas and asked him "can he put the gas in himself". He said yes he can. I drove off to get gas. I was by myself and took initial caution as you never know character of stranger. I get to my place and load gas can and my side arm / concealed (I'm legal) and headed back there. Once there, I stopped my truck about 125 ft short of them, leaving my bright lights on, it's hard for them to tell if anyone else is in my truck. I get gas out back and walk towards them and I see someone else getting out of car. It turns out to be his VERY pregnant wife, I exhale in relief. They were very friendly people and I assure you 95+% are great, but caution should be your first line of defense. He fill the gas as I stood back and visited it. In the end, they asked how much $$$ I needed and I asked if they knew what "play it forward" meant and they sure did. They had about 60 miles to go and his car got great gas mileage so the 2.5 gals of gas would get them home safely. I was glad to help, but also didn't feel I over cautioned. Side story- An older friend of mine a couple years earlier was headed to Sturgis ralley to help VFW sell Poppies. He stopped and picked up a hitch-hiker. They get to Sturgis and the "hiker" goes to get out and pulls a knife and slices my friend wide open. He spent near two months in hospital all for being kind enough to give the guy a ride. I asked him if he would do it again and he said he would and he hoped the bad guy could get help and improve on himself. The LAW did get the guy less than two hours later.
POINT BEING
1) stop short and communicate at a distance. You can assess a lot in just a few sentences.
2) asking them to help you while helping them, keeps them busy so you can keep observant (they put the gas in)
3) return and park a distant back and bright lights help keep them off target. I was by myself but they didn't know that
These are just a few safety tips and as you can see, everything turned out ok. Helping other is one thing, but helping yourself is by far a safety priority.
Thank You to all who read my story, and I truly hope it helps us to be helpful and yet safe in doing so.
Keep on being alert and may the safe force be with you.!!!!
Don't forget to thank slash for the "FREE" prize and postage $$$$$$$, thanks slash as it's much appreciated.
PS Although it doesn't appear he is making much headway, I am still rooting for LUNAR to get his math problem worked out.
