Kent had 2 ints in his college career
If his NIL paid him $25 per interception, how much would that be?

Out of Colbert's book of limited to special teams upside only, but at least these two have a bit of athleticism.Late round bloodline pick and a Central Michigan pick. Sounds about right.
What do you think it should be?The draft was just kinda meh to me. Nothing to get too excited about either way. I get fortifying the DL, but if we do not play the proper base D it is not going to matter. i dont know much about the RB, but I think we could have found someone via FA or undrafted. Getting Howard as late as we did was solid and the other picks were just OK.
Especially if he gets to play in that offense and they continue to have elite skill players.Rourke could be the best QB in the draft when he gets healthy.
And what does "base" even mean now? What do you think it should be?
I think we don't like bidding for UDFAs. And would rather take guys we like late.Carson Bruener is an OK player. Backup ILB and special teamer. The new Dirty red. But i don't think they had to draft him. I think a WR like Prather would have been better.
The DB Kent? Don't know much about him but they needed another DB
the only difference is the last nameI switched over to ESPn after the Ewers pick. Riddick was saying he just didn;t see it on tape. He questioned his arm strength. So did Mel, saying Ewers is a backup only. How can you be frothing at the mouth demanding Shedur get picked in rd 1 with his chicken arm and then write off Ewers who played against actual good opponents and brought his team close to a championship.
I basically meant putting guys in position to succeed. If we use 2 DL against the ravens we will get gashed no matter who we have up there. We needed a replacement for Cam so I am fine w/ the pick, but it is not going to solve the DL issues. What do you think it should be?
A change in scheme could go a long way. We have talent. They just are not being put in positions to succeed.I basically meant putting guys in position to succeed. If we use 2 DL against the ravens we will get gashed no matter who we have up there. We needed a replacement for Cam so I am fine w/ the pick, but it is not going to solve the DL issues.

I don't think there's really all that much that separates guys at the end of the draft from at least the higher UDFAs.
1. Harmon - probably the most popular pick in mock drafts for the Steelers, he fills a position of future need and will be the primary rotational DL this year.
2. TRADED - in this draft, DK Metcalf>>>>>>any 2nd round prospect, excellent use of this draft pick.
3. Johnson - some Steelers analysts had him as the best option (assuming Jeanty was gone), perfect fit for this team.
4. Sawyer - added much-needed depth at OLB, the Steelers had been bringing in old veterans to fill this role in recent years
5. Black - plays a position that sees very limited snaps, but maybe he can see those snaps early.
6. Howard - backup capable QB drafted late.
7a. Bruener - only drafted because of his name, will compete to be a special teams ace.
7b. Kent - off-the-radar DB, but likely drafted for special teams...at least has blazing speed.
Not a spectacular draft, but a good draft. I don't really see any stars, but they got players who will help the team be tougher and stronger up front.
So we need like some type of hybrid base D, one that is fluid and changes depending on the opponent. 3-4 when needed and 4-2-5 when needed.I basically meant putting guys in position to succeed. If we use 2 DL against the ravens we will get gashed no matter who we have up there. We needed a replacement for Cam so I am fine w/ the pick, but it is not going to solve the DL issues.
I think they don't want to take the chance.you think they'd have to bid on Bruener?
That is where he did most of his reps inside. Willing ST participant.Could be a good slot man cover guy and gunner.
I like the idea of taking swings at WR.My free agent list
Nick Nash WR San Jose State 6'3 203 - played QB for 3 years before moving to WR.
Bru McCoy WR Tenn 6'3 209
DaQuon Felton WR Va Tech 6'5 213
Isaiah Neyor WR Neb 6'4 218
They could use a physical TE. I don't understand what Connor Heyward brings to the team
Luke Lachey TE Iowa 6'6 251 - he's an Iowa TE, always worth a look
CJ Dippre TE Alabama 6'5 256 - one of strongest players in the draft
Sebastian Castro S Iowa 5'11 203 very smart, played slot CB and S.
Cobee Bryant CB Kansas 6'0 180 - long arms, played mostly zone but is athletic.
