Well...

It doesnt matter if they played man or zone, our offense looked the same as it has. All passes outside the numbers. Like you said an NFL team should be able to adjust which we dont do. We stick to the crap game plan no matter what. I think Kenny is much better than he is showing here. Gameplans are terrible and if you are doing something you are not comfortable with it is not going to look good.
Game plan sucked, so did Kenny's accuracy. Just a multifactorial loss.

Kenny tries out there. I cannot knock him on his effort. He just doesn’t seem cut out for the task. He has too many instinctual intangibles that he relies on that puts him in positions of negativity at the team level
Question. Are you saying this because you see the film and guys are open and he isn't anticipating or cause if result. I watched two games at once after. Seattle and Rams and 49ers and Bucs. I see a guy running 3 yards open. I feel Kenny couod make that throw. When is someone three yards open in this offense.

This is true, but if you are being forced to do something you are not comfortable with or dont want to do then all aspects of your game are going to suffer.

you said he wouldn't have a job

I didn't indicate he would start, just that he would have a job
He would be given an opportunity to compete for a start. The starting part would be dictated on training camp competition outcome.

Stop trying to create narratives that aren't there. There are plenty out there already without fabricating new ones. Pickett on several occasions has said he needs to play better, that he missed some throws, the announcers even said it about their interview with him before the game...
Hmmmm .... Well, I'm not trying to create a narrative when I said that "I" had never heard him say those things. If he did finally accept some responsibility for his play, kudos.

He gets no excuses. Nobody does. As Kenny moves up the list, the top of it still sits Tomlin and Canada.

When a team disappoints in a flurry of areas it won't improve with bottom of the barrel changes.
I don’t disagree. The whole man vs zone thing Kenny said just kinda came off as an excuse.

Look, the guys in that locker room have to believe the scheme is ****. Sure, some of it is execution, but this team does not set itself up for success. I can’t believe there hasn’t been a rebellion at this point.

You can change the coaches, but I wonder if Pickett isn’t damaged goods at this point. He cannot have an iota of confidence left and he looks exasperated most of the time anymore. At this rate he’s gonna have PTSD by season’s end if he doesn’t already.

Kenny’s weakness is his anticipation. That’s going to lead to result. If those tangibles are a trend and it’s just second nature to him. Then his coaches need to implement a system to his strengths. Minimize his anticipation, minimize his want to roll out and take a big sack.

That’s just my observation. A capable OC would see that and adjust accordingly

It wasn't "finally", it's always been that way. He has said from the start he needs to play better.

The only thing I truly lay at KPs feet is feet. He isn't running. The sacks were jail breaks and I do not see anyone resembling open. And not that they do not have capable receivers. The routes do not win.

If you say so, then it is so. Again, "I" have never heard it. I mean, you can't make me have heard something I didn't hear.

Do you watch the games with no sound? Do you watch post game interviews?

He had a couple of good runs today. After that, the OL was beaten like a drumline on pass plays and he had nowhere to run to.

He might be damaged goods. He is going in the wrong direction. I damn sure wouldn't trot out the same scenario for him next season. Nor would I not bring in competition.Regardless of who returns or doesn't.

If Tomlin is back you can scratch Kenny off the list for developing. I have zero faith he can develop under Mike. I have zero faith this team will do anything noteworthy with him moving forward.

A definition of noteworthy in my book is at least one playoff win. The only way that happens if the team they are playing has worse coaching and roster. So yeah miniscule odds. I could see a collapse presenting with better odds, than making it to the playoff door.

The two times I'd pay big money to be in film. Before Devin Bush was finally benched and now. You can see what an NFL linebacker looks like now. I'd just like to listen and watch. Kenny you have to see him ball out now.....or is it what I think. It's a sea of no one really open.

When they are on the far side of the play and away from the direction the QB is moving in the pocket meaning only a QB like Ben or Elway would have a chance to see them and hit them with a pass. Like you have said there is no scheme to our scheme. It is basic plays with nothing to disguise the intent or freeze a receiver. When we try to run a rub route our player get an OPI. The offensive coaching is pee wee at best.

I will give Austin a pass this game. If the passing offense does anything this game isn't close. Defense shut them down for them most part.

Both sides of the ball failed miserably in the 4th with the chips on the table .

No coach gets a pass from me.

Like I said in the game day thread Job One for this season is Fire Matt Canada. I don't want the offense having some sort of resurgence this year to save his job. He needs to be gone - period. I'm hoping Khan has the parts to demand this in the off season.
