Again, You are assuming that Tomlin had 100% decision making responsibilities, during the first few years with Cowher’s team. I don’t happen to believe this. It was VERY apparent that the first few years Tomlin was required to learn on the job. He was given coaches to learn from. Do you really think Tomlin was able to tell Dick Lebeau how to run the D? These issues started as Tomlin was given progressively more control.

You can give apprentices the best training by the best mentors, but that doesn’t mean you are going to create the best individual. I believe that the Steelers saw promise in a VERY young and inexperienced coach. I also believe they were going to give him a chance with all the backing they had to offer. He just didn’t rise to the level that I personally would like. I believe that he is at best an above average, ( B to B+ if you will) coach. Someone that will win you games, but not someone who will win you championships.

If your job relies completely on doing as your boss tells you, no matter how much better you can do, no way you don’t follow directions. Especially when you know you will get a chance to show another employer your real abilities in a couple of years.

One important part of that is that the Browns called a far better offense for a young QB than the Steelers did. Many of their short and quick passes we saw today (particularly in the middle) don't even exist in the Steelers playbook.

What game were you watching? All I saw is Kenny throwing 10 yards and in and ignoring the middle if the field. His one deep ball DJ was nowhere near it. The difference is the Browns executed a simple pass offense while Kenny couldn’t.

DTR netted 183 yards to KP’s 86. I guess the interception that hit Cooper in the hands and bounced up for the Sullivan interception counts against him. IMO DTR outplayed KP.

Haven’t seen anything great yet, but I have seen him having to run this shitshow that is called an Offense.

His head would . If we had a top 20 passing game we could make some noise. We are ranked 31st at 170 per game. All we need is 200+ a game. If we had a QB that could average 225 and 2/1 we’d actually have a shot at the Super Bowl. That would out us at 17th. And that’s probably about the best this Canada offense could actually do.

I also have not seen that skill displayed by Tomlin either.
