Will Deshaun Watson get a Ben Roethlisberger-style Punishment, or a Pass?

Where are all those folks now.....the lack of moral character in the NFL and today's society will enable a guy who solicited sex from "employees" to "get off", to ****** over by those same former "employees" who are deciding that for a higher price, they can be bought. This is pimps and ****** enabled by lawyers and the NFL media spin folks, all funded by the stains.

For some strange reason, the Texans set this player up with ritzy hotel access for treatments. There must be a reason because teams employee specialists for just this type of treatment, build internal facilities, etc.
Someone from the Texans thought it necessary for the player to have NDAs or some type of privacy doc signed. Was it to protect the team or the player?. Do they do the same for a players dietician, outside trainers, etc.? There must be a reason.
The player would invite folks he found on SM media to this lair, and had to get a new invitee almost every week. For someone seeking therapeutic massage, that seems amazingly strange. There must be more details.
Over the course of a couple years, it appears that none of the invitees was able to create a sustainable working relationship. That means that even if the invitee found the "engagement terms" agreeable, the player did not sustain that relationship. This seems predatory, but I am naive in stuff like this.

I really do not understand why the media is not all over this. It seems like a similar lack of details with the Epstein/Maxwell debacle, where there were many, many victims and the media just conveniently ignores the perpetrators and participants and enablers.....
Its selective… the media covers based on personal agendas rather than objective unbiased reporting… the team you play or work for, the political party you represent, your gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, and opinions… all of these factor in to how and what the media on both sides will cover..

If Watson was a Republican senator this would have been front page news for years… Bill clinton exchanged sexual favors for women getting out of tickets and publicly admitted to propositioning subordinates with his penis out while at work, but that was ok because he was a Democratic Governor or something… meanwhile other guys get fired for saying, “you look nice today” or something else utterly innocent to the wrong person…

Houston’s front office is tied heavily to the Patriots. The patriots have an in with ESPN… journalists are lothe to burn that ESPN bridge.. that is my guess at least… probably more ****** up in reality

If Watson was white he would be kicked out of the league. Since everyone else is scared of saying it or something I will.
I don’t think that is accurate… that may well be why the media is treating him better than he should be, but the league typically tries to keep from setting precedent in these kinds of cases unless the media forces them to, because they are really prevalent…

Between legit cases and women golddigging, an insane amount of athletes get accused. Most quietly settle. Some like Bettis, get a lucky way out… some go public… the league tries to downplay them unless tge media really presses them…

Thats why this setup is ideal for them.. an impartial judge makes the call so their hands are clean…

I dont see how he can possibly get less than 1 year.

So like I said, the NFL tried to flub this… they want it to go away

This is exactly the duplicitous sexual assault/ harassment standards that aren’t really defined or standardized so it varies from case to case… particularly on money and fame, for some reason… lol…

If Watson was an executive and he did the same things to a subordinate, is that sexual harassment or assault?
The bare minimum is that Watson attempted to solicit prostitution from non prostitutes… this wasn’t just making sexual advances to someone unwilling.. it was getting a girl alone in a room intentionally then propositioning her in an awkward and compromising situation. It was predatory. If he walks I hope the Feminazis burn down the league office because honestly they deserve it…
Not to mention it sounds like the Texans provided the room for these events to happen

That just seems insane to me. Someone should be in jail sooner than later. Those women dohave a pretty good lawyer from what interviews I've seen.

Salute the nation

A year minimum or the wokeness has completely overtaken the NFL. He paid off 24 women. The NFL shouldn't have any of the actual witnesses because I am sure they all signed agreements to get their money. Having no "witnesses" should mean nothing in this case.

5 women wouldn’t take the money…

From my understanding the NFL only investigated like 5 of the claims. So I'm not sure what their end game is here

With training camp just a few weeks away, the decision should be made soon.

I can't imagine that he gets away clean.

Odd how no media outlets have questioned this league office over this non action, when many times within a week ones were suspended.

The league wants this to go away! It's not about Watson anymore. As soon as the Texans became involved the league had a much more serious problem. If Watson gets nailed to the wall and the attorneys go after an NFL team with the precedent of Watsons's guilt and an NFL team was helping and complicit in this it would be a meltdown of lawsuits against the NFL. everything from liabilities, to losing their Antitrust exemption possibly and who knows what else not to mention one hell of a PR nightmare. Then you factor in the stuff with Dan Snyder and what's going on there, The cowboys with the guy taking pics in the cheerleader's locker room, and the NFL can't have this happen. Watson is gonna get off light now. It will be something that they all agree on.

Hand Job Bob agrees!!

Houston: Hey Cleveland, how about we trade you Watson for three first round picks ( which will very be high picks ) and a third and fourth, and you give him $200,000,000.00?

Cleveland : Where do I sign? Deal!

Utter foolishness. Watson will miss several games this year, he's not close to worth that. I'm not sure if any player is. A move like this this prevents a re-build, while giving Houston a bounty Hershel Walker like trade. Next thing you know they will be bring in team guy, N Suh. Wait that just happened!

My vote for most poorly run franchise ever...and that includes the NBA, NHL, and MLB.

The Texans apparently just settled with 30 women. The league has to fine them huge and take away draft picks. This just shows how Watson must get at least a year suspension. Anything less is a complete joke.

The nfl supposedly had five witnesses and none claimed violence or anything forced so some, like florio, are speculating he will get no suspension at all now
It may not need to be a violent or forced situation for a player to be suspended for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. Jamis Winston was suspended for improper touching. What exactly did Ben do no one really knows.

From the NFL Personal Conduct manual:
We must endeavor at all times to be people of high character; we must show respect for others inside and outside our workplace; and we must strive to conduct ourselves in ways that favorably reflect on ourselves, our teams, the communities we represent, and the NFL.

Sexual harassment doesn't have to be violent.

Some workplace conduct is clearly sexual harassment? For example, unwanted kissing, touching of breasts or genitals, butt slapping, rape, other forms of sexual assault, requests for sexual favors, making sexually explicit comments, uninvited massages, sexually suggestive gestures, catcalls, ogling, or cornering someone ...

Watson requesting a sexual favor once or twice fine, but 30 times, 66, whatever the number? Then going only to see female masseuses makes the situation incriminating as ****.

I'd be surprised if Watson gets a pass. It would make the NFL look really really bad IMO.

I heard them float a 4 to 6 game suspension. Sounds pretty light. Nobody will watch Cleveland if Brissett is qb. Lots of people will watch if Watson is qb.

6 game suspension, reduced to 2 games if Watson "donates" money to women shelters. Mark it down.

Someone on one of the FB posts said something about the NFL going for 12 games that was then reduced to 6 or 7 games but Watson's camp and the NFLPA turned it down. Even 12 games is a joke but if he gets 7, 6, or less, it wouldn't shock me but it would be a complete joke. It's amazing where the "me too" movement went. I guess it truly was just a political tool used by the loony liberals.

I was reading the google machine on my phone and saw where they were predicting 2 to 8 games. I don't know what links are safe to post so a quick search on google will give you both a youtube vid and a PFT article.

Ben does four games for basically two allegations with zero proof on either. Watson should get at least 48 games, that's consistency. If Watson gets two or even eight games it shows how ****** up and Woke the NFL has come

Where are all the folks angry at him like they were in the metoo stuff a couple years back?

They'll be back after the midterm elections.

I'm beginning to think that the longer this drags out without a ruling, the better it may be for Watson, the league just trying to find a way to save face in the process.
