The problem is, folks like us all keep tuning in to our TV's to watch the games.
You ***** about it, but ultimately you don't care enough to drop the ratings. And that's why Goodell and the league can do whatever they want with the game and we'll all take it like the junkies we are.
Sorry. May be hard to read, but there it is. I didn't turn on the game on Thursday. I read about the score afterward. Subsequently I was saved a tremendous amount of frustration AND was allowed to feel as though I wasn't supporting Goodell and the rest of the NFL for trying to sweep every ******* black spot under the rug rather than dealing with it. If you believe the NFL didn't have those tapes, know exactly what was on them and choose to ignore them in order to preserve the failing image of the NFL and it's players you're flat out crazy. This is just the tip of the iceberg. It's already being pointed out that because of how they've screwed up, Rice is likely going to challenge and he "should" win because of the rules of the CBA. According to ***-Hat attorneys, Rice has a valid argument that he's been fired unfairly after receiving a punishment from the league which the Ravens did NOT increase. Once it's shown that the league had the extra tape their case will likely fall through and the Ravens have already admitted AFTER they fired Rice that he absolutely was truthful with the owners and management about what happened in the elevator. Therefore, even if you hate the guy like polio in children you can't see a legal argument where they can change the punishment later on without reasonable process.
Nope, if Rice can afford a decent lawyer he ought to be able to get his job back and get paid for the rest of the season after 6 weeks, (2 of which are already over...)
The NFL has ****** this up so badly it's practically a 3 stooges reel.
I'm just sick of it. I can only stand so much of that ****. Somebody lies to me long enough and even I can't sit there passively and accept it.
