You guys are borrowing my idea, which I have posed for several years. I point out that numerous meaningful jobs REQUIRE that the person pass a difficult test to show a minimum level of competence - doctor, lawyer, CPA, etc.
For crying out loud, a person who wants to give haircuts or trim nails must first pass a proficiency test. And yet we don't require a minimum level of competence for imbeciles who take trillions of our dollars and squander them on idiotic programs??

I think Dems will take her out too because she's going to rock the boat on their side too. She's too dumb to know that the Dem platform is a scam, it's just a bunch of talking points designed to appeal to emotions and keep people scared.
She thinks the Dems actually want to do the things they say. Of course they don't. They just want to keep getting elected by pretending to fight the evil republicans who want to kill them.
It's the same concept of why Trump gets sabotaged by establishment Reps. Trump is actually trying to enact conservative plans whereas the Reps just want to stay in an endless campaign against the Dems.
The difference between the conservative ideas and liberal ideas is conservative ideas work wherever they are tried. Socialism fails every time.
Exactly. I was thinking the other day that the whole border wall thing is bullshit. Trump wouldn't need to get some Dems to go along when his own damn party ran both houses of Congress the last two years and could have done it.
The Republicans preferred to keep it as an election issue instead of dealing with it, just like the Dems didn't do squat about immigration when they ran both houses of Congress in Bammy's first two years, preferring to keep it as an election issue to run on.

Cortez is such a complete idiot. I can't believe anyone voted for her. I mean, I know she has her talking points but when you ask her a question about them, she has no answers. She is truly as dumb as a box of rocks.

I don't think she is dumb. I think being honest about what she wants is one thing. Being honest about how she intends to get there, well, that probably won't be so popular. For some, maybe. Give it time. She will answer those questions when the time is right. Just isn't that time yet.
I don't know. She just seems to have no idea about what she is talking about and cannot articulate it well. Plus, her talking points are some scary ****. If this country heads in the direction she and many on the left want to go, the US will not be a world power in about a decade.

The media is so obsessed with "gotcha" moments that its refreshing to hear someone just talk from the hip (however uneducated and wrong). In 5 years, all the things she's spewing now, when she wants to try to get moderate voters, will come back to haunt her.

Most don't even care about "gotcha" moments. Every single dem leader is on record as having supported border walls in the past and talked about it openly. But now they don't work... the media never calls them on it. They can't be honest because they want to hold power. Ocult Cortez is a moron and was brainwashed by her liberal professors in college. What strikes me about her is that she talks like a teenager. "Tippy top" and all the "like like like" with this energetic naivety she has kind of precludes her from being taken too seriously IMO. I'm not sure what the strategy is (if there is one), but I'm sure Bernie Sanders and the like have schooled her in the way of liberal political strategy.

Yeah and what is with 12 years? What kind of scientific data or talking point did she get that would make her say that? I could understand if she said "50 years from now" or whatever, but that was just weird. And the sad thing is the crowd applauded when she said it.
