For the first time in a long time the OL is probably more of a position that inspires hope rather than one where whistling past the graveyard when discussing it was the norm for steelers fans...
Decastro and Pouncy are legit star talents there... No rookie is expected to be the savior this season, there is even a smidge of depth here... but mostly we have a OL coach that isn't trying to force fit a system onto players that really aren't capable of executing it... Zierlien was trying to put hulking slow behemoths into a system best suited for quick fast smart guys. Kugler was simplifying everything for interchangability... Each had strong points and less than great points, but I really like the statement from MM that leads this thread... I love the idea of using the parts of your system that work best for the guys you got... play to their strengths, so to speak
