2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

Talk about winning a game you didn't earn. Better to be lucky rather than good I guess.
 
And Bonino gets the empty netter!! WHEN the Pens actually PLAY hockey, they are the better team. When they sit back, they're ****
 
Guys, say what you want, but if you are being honest, the Pens stole one here. That was about as bad as you can play and still win. They cannot continue to play that way and expect to win the Cup. Not sure I have seen a team with as much puck luck as the Pens have enjoyed in the last month. Crazy. Maybe it is destiny. i don't know. What I do know is that my liver can't take much more of this.
 
So much for the Pecker being this impenetrable wall. Pens played like crap other than put every other shot in the back of the net..haha. I expect a better game Wednesday shot wise. The Pens need to stop the prevent crap and gas these clowns.

Exactly. The guys know what needs to be done. Nashville looks a bit not good right now.

Again:
-Nashville will not win the speed game.
-physicality exposes them, and the Pens dished it out two fold
-Played like **** and still won. Pens played in spurts and took control when needed
 
Well, when they shot .. they scored (mostly). Can't continue to play that sit back and wait ****. I'm sure Sully will fix that. So, it's a win they stole when they may not have deserved it (but, what is "deserving" .. more goals than the other team right?). In any event, I'll take the win, if not the style. 1 game closer to the cup.

for sure, they stole this one. All they can do is get better. Sully will adjust. He always does.

To be honest Sarge, they've been playing this style of hockey since mid/late February. The Pens are what they are. They have enough to win, I'll take it. May not be pretty and heart stopping, but they get it done
 
Pens played poorly and the Preds did a good job limiting Pittsburgh's offensive chances. I just don't see them doing that each night and Nashville's even strength play wasn't exactly scary in terms of offensive production.

So much for Nashville's vaunted D. The Pens tend to play a PK style of defense and have trouble clearing pucks. It does create rushes when they get going. Not worried and up in the series. This may be easier than Ottawa. The Pens have exposed Pecker for what it's worth. I don't expect Nashville to keep up the forechecking and aggressive style, it created some opportunities for the Pens.

I think an even bigger *** kicking game 2 as the Pens already know what to expect
 
To be accurate, Rinne was pulled.....for an extra skater...
 
12 Shots on goal lol. If you would have told me thats all they would have before the game I might not have watched it.

Preds playing good but also some of the Pens playing bad. Just don't know why this team plays jekyll and hyde sometimes. Also can't hold a lead this year either.

Better step up in game 2.
 
Sullivan has a lot of work to do before the next game. That's all I'll say.

Murray was hit and hurt in the first period. Wonder if he was 100%. 3 goals is too many to give up to win consistently. If he isn't absolutely 100% for game 2, put Fleury in r

THe team came out super cold. Then they got real and I mean real lucky with the goal reversal. I am still scratching my head on what they saw to give conclusive evidence to overturn that because the replays on TV did not. But, I will take it. THen, the team turned on the juice and ended up with 3 quick goals (although only one late shot on a 5-3). Then, they sat back for most of the rest of the game. Not sure why but they did nothing until the game was tied. And, then, they got lucky with 2 quick goals.

It's always nice to take game 1 in any series and I will certainly take this win with open arms. But, they won't win the series playing like that ****. They need to play for 60 minutes and whichever goalie is 100% needs to go in for game 2 and probably play the rest of the series, unless he sucks it up.
 
The preds still couldn't beat them. 4 goals on 12 shots...hahaha. Only way to go is up for the pens. Step up on the offensive rush and hit them every time they touch the puck. Keep them from setting up screens in front of the net as much. I'm actually highly optimistic for a change.
 
I'm not naive to think the Pens earned that win. It was an ugly victory with a lot of luck on their side, but don't discount that Rinne looked average at best. The Pens do have a good track record against him. EVERYONE knows the Pens have to play better. They know they played a pretty bad half of the game. No mystery there. I still think it was a feeling out game. Nashville fans are pissed they got hosed on the off-sides call and Pens fans are pissed they lost the lead and couldn't get a shot on net for 37 minutes. No game is perfect and it's the first time these teams are meeting each other since January. Game 2 will be different from yesterday. There will be adjustments, controversial calls and more whining. Take it one game at a time and keep pushing on. 3 to go!

I think Murray was ****** up. Wonder if he still has that "lower body injury"
