2017-2018 Pittsburgh Penguins

I couldn't even watch, I knew they were gonna lose, sorry

I watched but my feeling all along was that the odds were against them getting to and/or winning three straight Cups.

sorry again, I meant I couldn't watch OT...i could smell it coming, they were just out of gas

no young legs saviors this year

I think maata is a decent player just slow. He needs someone strong to be paired with. Letang just has no value. He is braindead and can not hit the net. Schultz and dumo should be top pair. Letang should be gone and we need to add at least 2 competent defenseman and an enforcer type. The one line scoring is a concern but alot of that game from Phil and Malkin being 95% useless. I think Brass will get another shot and hopefully he will figure it out. I am mainly dissappointed at the fact they continued to send out kessel and not at least try someone else. When the guy can literally not even skate with the puck how can you justify playing him. Maybe a young guy would have caught fire like Jake. No one as far as i recall expected jake to be anywhere near what he has been doing.

I know that they haven't advanced this far in a long time, but it just seemed that the celebration last night by the Capitals is something that should be reserved for the Stanley Cup Finals win... or at least a conference final win...

Wow ! I couldn't have been more wrong on my prediction for this game. I honestly thought there was no way we would lose an elimination game at home. How wrong I was.

Considering how this team looked at around game 30 I was surprised they got past the Flyers. It was a great run and you can't take the cups away. Some retooling is needed and the draft is coming up. Maybe we can find a sleeper or two that can contribute. JR is going to have to do better than he did at the trade deadline. I think this team will make some substantial changes both on wing and most certainly on D.

I'm a Pens fan first but will be on the LVG bandwagon. I wouldn't be upset if Tampa made it through, they look really good.

Do you foresee teams lining up to get a shot at Letang? IF they are, great, lets get what we can but then there is reality.

I'd trade an aging player in Malkin who still has a high stock value to rebuild and put Letang on a lower line rather than just releasing him for nothing.

I see what you're saying, but in my mind, releasing Letang is better than keeping him in any capacity. He's a liability. And as far as Malkin, he was injured this series, but he was fantastic this season.

I'll wait for the injury report before I pass judgement on a lot of things.

Letang is not what he used to be. His physical game returned after the injury but the mental game did not. Love the guy but it's time to find him a new home. He isn't the type to accept a 3rd pairing role and that's where he should be if he stays.

The Murray vs. Fleury debate will go on for years. The decision had to be made and I still agree with what was done. Our D is bad enough that it didn't matter. What was missed is the locker room impact. Fleury sent a tone that was not replaced. Same for Kunitz.. Reaves started to fill some of this role and then he was gone.

60 some post season games in the past 3 years took toll. The salary cap and expansion draft did the rest. The Pens still have a window to make another run or two. Decisions made this off season will be critical. .

Vegas had a hell of a pre-game show. Too much hype for me but entertaining. Got a good laugh at seeing the imitation Elvises in the crowd. Along with the comic factor and Flower in goal, I'm pulling for them to win it all.

Guessing it was the relief of finally not losing to the Pens in the playoffs. It would be like if we beat the Pats in the playoffs,,,or the regular season....Dat pass to James was a touchdahn.

Great to see the Pens fans in attendance be good sports about the loss. Didn't see any of the crap we witnessed in Philly or Nashville

That's the way I saw it. Talk of the enemies fans: they really wanted us.
This series was the caps stanley cup. Next series should be a great one.

I know Cooper will have the Bolts ready. They play their A game. Caps are done.
Vegas is getting some rest with Winn/Nash going to a game 7. Perfect opportunity for VGK.

Reaves played sunday night too.

They should act like they've been there before...wait :)

The radio call is comical. Just showed me of how bad we have owned them. It's was they are a 17-year old that finally busted a nut with a girl and the top of the mountain was reached. How they get down off that mountain is another story all together. They might be content with the piece they have finally got.

It was a great ride....

nine consecutive playoff series wins and two Stanley Cups...

It doesn't get much better than that...

Thank you to the Penguin organization and ownership for being a tip-top world class outfit...

I was just getting ready to post this Dino. nothing to ***** about. the great thing about it, they have the talent and a few missing players. to do this again, starting next year.
