I don't know. The team had good chemistry and was playing well. The D is still weak so losing Cole could hurt a lot. We shall see. And another 1st rounder gone...

They have to make a move to shore up the back end. Even if Sully didn't like Cole, moving him in order to have to play Hunwick or Rhuwedl is insanity.

WTF. Giving up Reeves and Cole and a 1st? That sucks...
Reeves really didn't have a place and I never liked picking him up. Sucks that it cost a first to get him and looks like it will also cost a first to get rid of him

Reaves was a terrible trade. Gave up a first-round pick for a guy that barely played.
When you add it all together, it is a steep cost for a third liner, but not if it helps win you another Cup.

I'm still on the "Reaves is under utilized" thought process.
He can grind out against the boards, is pretty fast at skating, has a good wrister.
If you're gonna trade a 1st round for him, play him. Not use him as an enforcer. He drops the gloves when necessary.
I don't know what the hell is going on with this Brassard trade
Giving up Cole and a 1st should be enough for Brassard.
But from my understanding is Brassard is too expensive for the Pens salary cap.
I guess Vegas is willing to do a deal with Ottawa to pick up part of Brassards salary to help out the Pens.
It's all a mess.

Having Aston-Reese and Hornqvist helps a ton with any physical net presence.

I thought Reaves brought a lot too. Losing Cole and Reaves sucks.
He brought some needed physicality, and could also skate. His attitude was funny.
