I got in my car to go home from band practice and the Rags just scored their first goal. Takes me 10 minutes to get home. The Pens were down 3-2 when I pulled into my driveway. Glad I stuck with the game because it was a good one. Too many damn penalties. Sid needs to be smarter with the slashing and high sticks. To get two points at MSG while down late in the 3rd is impressive. I see they have adopted the "Next Man Up" mantra again. The D has some bumps and bruises, but continue with the Ws.

They cut off my Florida feed on direct tv...*******. I'm not buying the next tier up. I'll get the center ice package soon. Great game from the highlights I saw and stats. Lots of shots and a big comeback...nice win. I wish I could have went to that game since it's in Florida.

I have the sports package on directv.
Both at&t sports Pitt and fox sports FL were cut off.

I hear a lot of customers have been having blackout issues with the pro sports leagues.
NHL, MLB and NBA have been notorious to cut off regional feeds to force you to buy their season packages.

I normally bite and will buy the NHL center ice package. I usually wait til November to buy. Mainly cause we invest a ton for the trick or treaters. A lot of nice kids who always ask for my son lol. So These past two years have been king size candy bars for the neighborhood
No rush for me this season.

Figured I'd buy Pens gear and hold off on the season for a bit

But this is just another fantastic "under the radar" move by Jimmy Rutherford.

By mid-season, I think Pens fans will be pleased..

Sheahan brings size and hopefully some much needed 3rd line C play.
The trade was a definite need I suppose. Rutherford has been pretty solid with the roster management. I'm sure Sheahan will help when needed.


Still liked the "chip" Wilson provided.

This was a good move, but the Pens need help on D and in goal more. They are giving up goals like it is the 80's.

With Wilson being a healthy scratch more than on the ice, I am good with the trade. Sheahan doesn't have speed and with our style of play that is concerning. He is definitely a reclamation project like Shultz. Rutherford has proven, more often than not, that he makes solid value decisions. Wilson was fun to watch but one thing we have in the farm system is depth at wing.

I think they need to see what Niemi can do other than a back to back scenario. Not only do the team look like utter dogshit, Niemi is very suspect right now. Sully needs to see if the two are connected. I'd start him in a game to see if he's capable of not letting 6+ goals in. If not, I'd welcome Jarry into the fold by Thanksgiving.
