Act of Terrorism in Orlando

Moderate muslims.

To even pose such a question exposes moderate Muslims.

And stupid liberals still haven't figured it out yet as their panties get knotted up when someone says they hate muslims.

Well at least I'm not gay, so I've got that going for me.

Worked a funeral visitation yesterday and one guy was very, shall we say, flamboyant. Everyone was asking him his thoughts on Orlando, which I thought was cool that this large group of people accepted their son, brother, nephew, whatever, for who he is and was concerned.

That article is chock full of awesomeness.

“The recoil bruised my shoulder. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary case of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.”

HA HA!

And you want to be my latex salesman..

I love the BS about most mass shootings being committed by white men. That is only because of such things are classified by motive. Drive-bys in the inner-city where 3, 4 or 5 people were shotare categorized as gang violence. It ain't white folks shooting up Miami LA and Chicago.

And it wasn't a white guy here, or in San Bernardino....or Fort Hood....

I was thinking about this on my run this AM.

Obama is supposed to be the guy that understands the Muslim world better than anyone. Yet, he is as guilty as anyone at looking at it through American eyes.

What I mean is that he has watched over the last 50 or more years Christians in this country just lay down to the various assaults on our beliefs with barely a fight. To the point where we have to defend not wanting our 7 year old daughters to have to share a bathroom with a 43 year old man because he identifies as a woman today. Let that sink in. We have to defend our position. We have laid down. Myself included. I will say things like "I don't care who is in the bathroom with me" and I really don't, I'm getting too old to worry about that. Also, my daughter is much older now and can handle herself. I often wonder if we are going to have to answer for just rolling over someday. We have allowed the school systems (not ever one but too many) to indoctrinate our kids to the point they don't value the country and how it was founded.

Before I continue, nowhere am I advocating violence. But we had to have been able to do more.

But Obama has watched this, and I think figures that the same thing will eventually happen in the Muslim world. He is a fool. How many people have to die before he realizes it ain't happening there? They aren't going to roll over.

REALLY, Tibs? REALLY??? This is a new low for you. C'mon man, you're better than this.

Is he Lyn?

Nope, not 'any proposed restrictions.' I'm talking about restrictions based on religion or race. That is bigotry. Say you want to ban criminals, terrorists, even suspected terrorists, I'm okay with it. But that is not what Trump is saying. He's saying he wants to ban MUSLIMS, point blank, all Muslims. That is like Norway banning all Christians or Jews from entering the country. That is bigotry, sorry if it upsets you that I call it what it is.

Bullshit. Not what he ever said.

I dunno, you tell me.

NARRATIVE FAIL: Orlando Islamic Terrorist Did NOT Use An AR-15

The anti-gun politimedia wasted no time at all demonizing the most common rifle in the United States as being the real villain of the Islamic terrorist attack on Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

Newsweek screamed, “ORLANDO SHOOTING PUTS SPOTLIGHT ON AR-15 RIFLE.”

Judd Legume of Think Progress squeaked, “The NRA’s Love Affair With The AR-15, Weapon Of Choice For Mass Murderers, In 22 Tweets.”

Always wrong Christopher Ingraham of the Washington Post whined, “The gun used in the Orlando shooting is becoming mass shooters’ weapon of choice.”

Here’s the thing.

The rifle used by the Islamist terrorist in Orlando was not an AR-15.

The rifle used by the Islamist terrorist in Orlando was instead a Sig Sauer MCX carbine, a modular, multi-caliber (able to swap to different calibers, including 5.56 NATO, 300 BLK, and 7.62×39) rifle system that sometimes utilizes STANAG magazines common to more than 60 different firearms, but otherwise has no major parts that interface with AR-15s in any way, shape or form.

This of course, will make no difference at all to the anti-gun politimedia, who don’t particularly care about factual accuracy and who likely wouldn’t be able to tell an AR-15 from a toaster oven if their lives depended on it.

That's a pretty pricey gun.........how does a lowly security guard afford one? I know I couldn't.

Donald Trump endorses Barack Obama's, Democrats' gun control plan

Hey guys, Donald Trump has a great idea, really the best idea.

I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns.
— Donald J.
Gee, I wonder how he thought that one up.

But it does put both House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in an interesting position. See, they've been blocking Democratic legislation to do just that for months now, in both the Republican-controlled House and Senate.

President Obama has been calling for it, and Democrats in both chambers are pushing to have another vote on the measure. Now the Republican standard-bearer, their presidential nominee, wants it too. How are they going to keep this "tough" vote off the floor? Of course, it's the NRA who really has the final decision on this, clearly. They're the ones who really run things. That's why Trump's going to them—and not to Ryan and McConnell.

I, for one, love the idea that people's rights can be taken from them without due process. Can we do that for all of the rights? What about the right to not endure Cruel and Unusual punishment? Can people on that list now be waterboarded? Cops/Military go in their house without a warrant? What about their First amendment rights? Or is it just the 2nd amendment that needs to be destroyed not the rest? without the 2nd, the others are useless pieces of paper.

that could be, Tibs, something we've not seen done for the last 7+ years, in working both sides of the aisle, negotiating and coming to a mutual agreement for the better of the country.

maybe.

Agreed, never in history has there been a more obstructionist Congress than what we've seen during Obama's two terms. It's a damn shame the GOP was allowed to get away with it by their constituents.

Democrat holds up Senate floor over gun control
http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-acti...rat-commandeers-senate-floor-over-gun-control

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) has taken over the Senate floor and is refusing to allow the chamber to go into other business until his colleagues do something about gun control.

“I'm prepared to stand on this floor and talk about the need for this body to come together on keeping terrorists away from getting guns ... for, frankly, as long as I can, because I know that we can come together on this issue,” said Murphy, who has made a name for himself in the Senate for repeated calls to write stronger gun control laws.

Murphy didn’t say how long he plans to talk on the Senate floor. The Senate is considering the Commerce, Justice and Science spending bill.

Murphy did allow his home-state colleague, Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), to interrupt him so that Blumenthal could talk about gun control. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) is also expected to speak with Murphy on the floor. Under the chamber's rules, Murphy can allow other senators to speak without losing control of the floor.

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) joined the Democratic talkathon Wednesday afternoon, asking Murphy a question about the terrorist watchlist.

"I'm familiar with the terrorist screening database. There are a series of lists that fall from the database, but I don't think there's any such thing as 'the terrorist watchlist,' and I certainly don't understand what due process rights would apply," Sasse said.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the Senate's No. 2 Democrat, also spoke with Murphy on the floor.

Calls for stronger gun control have reemerged on Capitol Hill after the Orlando nightclub shooting on Sunday morning, when 49 people were killed by a lone gunman armed with an AR-15 assault rifle.

Murphy’s state is home to one of the most infamous shootings in American history: the 2012 killing of 20 school children and six adults at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Conn.

"I can't tell you how hard it is to look into the eyes of the families of those little boys and girls who were killed in Sandy Hook and tell them that almost four years later we've done nothing, nothing at all," Murphy said.

His speech comes as the Senate is heading into a fight over keeping suspected terrorists from being able to buy guns.

"I know this isn't going to make me popular with many of my colleagues or with the leadership of this body, but I don't think we should proceed with debate on amendment to this bill until we have figured out a way to come together.," Murphy said, referring to the appropriations bill.

Murphy said he wants lawmakers to get a deal on blocking suspected terrorists from being able to buy guns and strengthening background checks.

Democrats are pushing a proposal from Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) that would give the attorney general broad authority to block individuals on the terrorist watch list from buying a gun or an explosive.

Chris Harris, Murphy's communications director, said Murphy and Democrats “are holding the floor because they will not accept inaction or half measures in the face of continued slaughter.”

“Until private sales at gun shows and over the internet also require stringent background checks and unless suspected terrorists on the no fly list are prohibited from legally purchasing guns, our lax gun laws will continue to allow terrorists and criminals to amass a weapons stockpile. Senator Murphy will remain on the floor demanding the Senate adopt these measures,” he added.

My guess is that Trump doesn't realize that watch lists includes good 'ol merican white male NRA members who unwisely spouted off about some right-wing government conspiracy theory.

nice to see that you believe the First Amendment should be repealed. Why not just move out of the country like Tibs did?
