Act of Terrorism in Orlando

Not really, false flag implies that the government planned it. I think the current government is simply run by Muslim sympathizers who refuse to acknowledge that religion's problems. Remember, Liberals will ALWAYS side with 1) whoever is against America, 2) whoever the non-Christian non-Jewish side is, and 3) whoever the darker-skinned people are.

Not the entire Govt., just a shadow element of it. It's not like everyone working for the govt. is in on it. False Flag attacks have been in use for hundreds and thousands of years. It's how Hitler got WWII going.

What agenda would this serve? Constant war in middle east, decrease in privacy and liberty and gun confiscation. It's quite obvious after you wake up.

Your stupidity never ceases to amaze me. None of our troops are murdering Muslims because they are Muslims. They are killing members of a terrorist organization that is quite openly and publicly dedicated to the brutal, violent slaughter of innocent civilians.

You bring niavety to a new level.

You mean to tell me the 1 million dead Iraqis from our invasion were all terrorists? Wow. I guess it's not hard to believe that you think allopathic medicine is truthful and safe.

Christians murdered those who did not worship Christ. Not different. Same. Also, still going on today. Most of our US troops murdering Muslims in the Middle East are Christians....murdering non-Christians.

Umm, no, the Crusades began when Muzloids invaded formerly Christian lands and were keeping Christians out, if not killing them. In case you hadn't noticed, the Muzzies are at war with us. Therefore every one that our guys kill had it coming. And I don't feel the slightest bit bad or guilty about it. I hate Muslims, I'm quite up front about it, but I'm not Islamophobic. "-Phobic implies fear and I don't fear them, rather I look forward to the day when one of them attacks a place where I am or tries to hijack my plane and I get the opportunity to take care of business.

Regardless, if you're mad about something that happened 1000 years ago then you're either mentally ill, using it as an excuse, or both.

Excellent point, let them use their bare hands instead of automatic weapons legally available to basically anyone.

An AR-15 is not an automatic weapon. Apart from extraordinarily limited exceptions for gun merchants with a long history of not violating gun laws, who have passed the significant limitations on gun dealerships, and who have passed every significant restriction on such gun ownership, no United States citizen may legally own an automatic weapon ...

Since 1934.

I studied the 30 deadliest mass shootings since 1949. Guess how many were led by Muslim immigrants? One.

It appears immigrant Muslims account for less than 1/2 of 1% of all mass shootings in America. One of the smallest demographics nationwide.

And this, evidently meant in jest, but still makes a valid point.

We would cut mass shootings down by over 75% if our nation banned all white men from this country.

Wonder why nobody calls for that?

Orlando Shooter Was Reportedly a Regular at Pulse and Had a Profile on Gay Dating App

Early Sunday morning, Omar Mateen shot and killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando, perpetrating the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. Mateen, his father explained the next day, had repeatedly been angered by the sight of two men kissing. But according to witnesses, Mateen was also a regular at the club and exchanged messages with at least one gay man on a gay dating app.

“It’s the same guy,” Chris Callen, who performs under the name Kristina McLaughlin, told the Canadian Press. “He’s been going to this bar for at least three years.”

Ty Smith, who also goes by the name Aries, also said he’d seen Mateen being escorted drunk from the club, Pulse, on multiple occasions.

“(He’d get) really, really drunk... He couldn’t drink when he was at home—around his wife, or family. His father was really strict... He used to ***** about it,” Smith told the Canadian Press.

Reports: Ex-Wife and Classmate Say Orlando Killer Was Gay

Orlando shooter Omar Mateen, who killed 49 people inside a gay nightclub early Sunday morning, was gay, both his ex-wife and a former classmate have reportedly claimed.

Initial reports indicated only religious motives—he had already been investigated by the FBI on two separate occasions, in 2013 and 2014, for alleged links to extremism. He also placed a 911 call mid-attack to pledge his allegiance to ISIS, and appeared extremely intolerant of gay men—his father told reporters hours after the massacre that his son had recently been angered by the sight of two men kissing.

ISIS later claimed responsibility for his actions, though they might regret it now: New reports suggest Mateen was himself gay, or at least an active participant in the Orlando gay scene.

Cue Donald Trump and the right-wing crazies on this board: "Ban all gays! Round up all gays in interment camps! Don't allow gays to enter the country!"

I find it humorous that you fear things like the above as it pertains to Donald Trump and right wingers, yet at the same time think it is perfectly logical for you lefties to run around screaming "ban all guns!" I have become used to such hypocrisy by the left, but it's like jumping in cold water. Even though you have done it a lot, it still gives you a jolt.

I actually agree with some of this.

It is about per capita guns. And about how guns trickle down in the environment to become "illegal guns". The issue about gun control is never about Mr. Responsible licensed gun owner. They are just caught in the crossfire of how politicians try to tackle illegal guns in this country and their prevalence in high-population areas and high involvement in (primarily) black on black crime.

I am all for the 2nd amendment. I am all for gun ownership. But I think the NRA has hoodwinked the legal gun owning public. To me, the NRA has sold you a 2nd amendment fight while in reality what they were fighting was the right to sell and "get into circulation" as many firearms as possible on the behalf of the firearm industry. The firearm industry LOVES violence. The love 300 million firearms on the streets. The love that it's so easy for those guns to trickle down and become "illegal" and they love criminals that use guns because that allows them to sell the notion of "be armed for your safety" and sell more guns in perpetuem...

I love how right wingers (some on here) are so conspiracy theorists yet they can't possibly fathom the NRA doesn't have their best interests at heart? That they are emboldened to the gun industry over the public just a little bit? That defies logic.

When legal gun owners can stop spouting the NRA line on EVERYTHING, I will start listening. Because I don't trust the NRA just as much as I don't trust Hillary Clinton and her anti-2nd amendment crusade either.

This country needs to do a MUCH better job of getting illegal guns out of the system. I don't know if registration helps. I don't know if coming down hard on illegal sellers and gun shows and loopholes in the background checks help. I don't know if increased penalties and sentences help. I don't know if buybacks help.

But reducing the number of illegal guns needs to be a fight BOTH sides can agree on and work together. I'm just not sure (in fact I'm pretty sure not) that the NRA and their lobby want to do that at all.

First of all, you just don't understand who the NRA is. You and the liberal politicians make the mistake of thinking the NRA is this, I don't know how to describe it, but like an exclusive club. The NRA is millions of Americans who believe in the 2nd Amendment. Without the millions of regular people who are members, the NRA ceases to exist, regardless of how many in the firearm industry would hypothetically prop it up. They are an organization that stands up for me and millions like me when I watch everyday the Republican party cave on every issue. That is also why they are hated. They fight back.

The NRA has constantly been trying to come up with different ways to address this problem. There are laws on the books, but our government right now has no interest in prosecuting the people who violate them. That is a fact. The NRA also realizes that every law proposed seems to effect the legal gun owners you say gun control is not about. It is absolutely about them. That is who people like Obama and Clinton want disarmed. If they were so concerned about illegal guns, why do they not prosecute? Why do they allow Fast and Furious to happen?

US troops didn't kill a million Iraqis. Most of them killed each other because they belong to varying crazy religious sects. That's what they do. And people like you think Saddam was a great guy because he mostly kept the killing for himself.

There were a small percentage of Catholic priests who were pedophiles

So you haven't seen Spotlight.

6%

Small percentage until you realize how many that is. And it's not just the priests. It's the church who protected and relocated them, and the Catholics who turned a blind eye. Everyone knew but didn't dare do anything.

Just like radical Islam, this was ******* craziness in the name of reverence and religion.

When gays by the millions vow to take over the world and slaughter the rest of us you might have a point.

No, nothing those priests did is in the name of religion. They were evil men who used the priesthood as cover. I'm not defending them or the people who covered for them, it's a terrible situation and the church deserves every bit of criticism and financial penalty they are getting for it. But let's not pretend like pedophilia is a tenet of the Catholic church. It was something they kept hidden because they knew it was wrong. They weren't openly and proudly preaching it as a great thing like the radical Islamists who love trotting out their butchery.

Yes, that's exactly right. All Muslims, not just ISIS, follow the Koran. They all believe the same thing. Only libtards are snowed by the religion of peace falsity.

REALLY, Tibs? REALLY??? This is a new low for you. C'mon man, you're better than this.
Why the outrage? That's exactly what Trump and his supporters are calling for when it comes to Muslims. A new low, sigh. Every day is a new low when it comes to this board.

In the 1950s the USA shut down immigration for a bit with the idea of making sure we could assimilate who was already here. There is a historical precedent. It is our country, is it not? Do we have no right to say who comes here? Or do we have to just throw the doors open to anybody? And in the event, he has stated just shutting it down for a bit to see if we can get a handle on things better. You all are into common sense, or so you say you are with gun control, or when the idea of common sense appeals to you. In this case.I guess common sense doesn't appeal.

I was going to reply similarly, but I might as well talk to the tree out back. POP is just spouting off what he reads and hears from guys like Glen Greenwald. It sounds cool. I am not denying that over the years we have done some dubious things. We have. But to blame those things for the creation of ISIS is just ridiculous. These are people who just want to run around and kill and bully other people and take over the world. They will find any justification, but at it's core that is what it is. What makes it worse is the religious element.

Isn't the difference though that the LGBT community hasn't declared Holy War against non-believers?

According to Tibs any proposed restrictions to immigration are solely about bigotry. They aren't about national security, wages being driven down, the strain on our welfare and educational systems...they are just because we hate folks.

According to Tibs any proposed restrictions to immigration are solely about bigotry.
Nope, not 'any proposed restrictions.' I'm talking about restrictions based on religion or race. That is bigotry. Say you want to ban criminals, terrorists, even suspected terrorists, I'm okay with it. But that is not what Trump is saying. He's saying he wants to ban MUSLIMS, point blank, all Muslims. That is like Norway banning all Christians or Jews from entering the country. That is bigotry, sorry if it upsets you that I call it what it is.

Just another day in Islam......

Ban knives!

French police chief and partner killed in stabbing claimed by Isis

Islamic State claims responsibility after officer was stabbed to death outside home in Manganville before woman and boy were taken hostage inside

President François Hollande has convened crisis talks after a man claiming allegiance to Islamic State stabbed a French police commander to death in front of his house outside Paris, then killed his partner who also worked for the police.

The 42-year-old police commander was in plain clothes when he was stabbed to death as he arrived home at around 8.30pm on Monday night in a quiet residential area of Magnanville, north-west of Paris.

The attacker then entered the house and held hostage the commander’s partner – who also worked in the local police administration – and the couple’s three-year-old son.

Elite police squads rushed to the scene, sealed off the neighbourhood, cut electricity and negotiated with the attacker who told them he was a soldier for Isis and had sworn allegiance to the group.

Shortly afterwards loud detonations were heard as police stormed the house and killed the assailant. They found the woman dead and rescued the couple’s son alive.

The French attacker was identified by Le Monde and RMC radio as Larossi Abballa, 25, who was known to police for radicalism and already had a terrorism conviction.

So you are willing to accept the risk that if you let Muslims in, you may be letting in some terrorists, to avoid bigotry. Fine.

Why doesn't that same logic apply to guns? I would argue it is bigotry against gun owners to punish all for the sins of a few.
