Adrian Peterson indicted in child injury case

In fairness. Who doesn't have a "whoopin room"?

well, I guess I've been missing out ... I'll make sure to ask for that under the "amenities" section when I move into another house.

Me: "This house has everything I want except a 'whoopin room'. What can we do about that?"

Realtor: "Well, it comes with a den and an entertainment/media room. Either of those could easily be converted into a 'whoopin room'"

4blings is on the repeat of the repeat of the repeated posts

Lol, I lost 4 guys off my fantasy team to the IR in Week 1. This will be Number 5. I may not break 70 points once this year.

I was raised by hippies. My mom just hit me with her shoe or anything else she could get her hands on that was near by.

Yep. A hairbrush (bristles down) right on the old scalp were a specialty. Yee-ouch!

Has the NFL ever had a worse week? It's like a Game of Thrones episode.

Didn't Peterson have a kid die a year or two ago?

Some one needs to email him the photos and time stamp it. Cause you know, he may not have access to them.

Rog has bought a new gold plated lighter in anticipation of receiving the photos.

My son turned nine today got his first smack in the mouth last weekend for shooting me in the eye with a nerf gun... He's a good kid, parents need to eval themselves.

maybe we can hire AP as OL coach. Gilbert should be cutting himself a switch today.

Lots of people need to switch up their fantasy football line ups...

I also had to go pick my own switches and got spanked with my dad's leather belt more than once. But if those pictures are for real then that's messed up and he deserves whatever is coming to him.

Kids today arent angry..they are spoiled ...........and a lot of em are stupid....and now more than ever youre seeing 11-15 yrs olds calling mom *******....now how many women do you know that would cowar to being called a ***** by their child..........?

CPS wants to go after Peterson as if hes a monster. The kid had welts on his legs...but thats what thin profile elements do. Theres more egregious things folks have done to kids that id qualify as abuse like suspending an infant inverted and delivering blows in the form of punching to the child. Buring the child with an iron or cigar/cigarette. Punching a kid in the stomach or face. Thats abuse. Hitting with a belt or switch is NOT abuse

Kids nowdays cant fill out applications or draft their own resumes, cant communicate face to face and resort to drugs and sex while thumbing their nose at authority because parents talked a lil too much or sent these kids to their room to "think about their transgressions".

I can see both sides. I mean, I was hit with a switch numerous times. Hell, I was once beaten with an extension cord and on another occasion with one of those giant wooden spoons people used to hang on their walls in the 80's. Those items were closest when I did whatever I did to get in trouble. Point is, I never felt abused or anything. Never traumatized or anything like that. I knew I messed up.

On the other hand, I never had marks on me like this kid does, and I was a bit older than 4 when I took those beatings too. My parents didn't have a whoopin room either. I get discipline, but in this case, I am not sure I can call a whoopin that leaves those kind of marks disciplining a child. Not sure I can call it abuse either. I think it is fair to at least call it over kill, beating a 4 year old to that extent.

The kid claims that AP also hit him in the face and threatened to do it again.

Those pictures are disgusting! Any adult who thinks it's perfectly ok to do this to a kid because it was done to them as a child is a person who needs counciling and mental evaluation. Absolutely horrific! AP is a sick and twisted individual and that kid is scarred for life literally! I don't buy into the whole...."Spare the Rod, You spoil the child".

Peterson should be banned from the NFL just like Ray Rice.

You need a license to drive a car but any ******* can have a kid!

I'm so sick of hearing this tired argument. My husband was never hit and has a master's degree from Carnegie Mellon. My kids were never hit and are straight A students who've never once been disciplined at school for anything. They have certainly never called me a *****. They treat me the same way I treat them...with dignity and respect. If you want to hit your kids I guess in this country that's your right, but please stop acting like it's some magic tool that turns bad kids good. Plenty of good, smart kids have never been hit and plenty of bad, stupid ones have.

That is what switches do. My mom did keep the whippings below the waist though..

Then they probably shouldn't be used. I'm okay with corporal punishment and was on the receiving end of it many times, some of which left welts. But drawing blood is out of bounds.

I was raised by hippies. My mom just hit me with her shoe or anything else she could get her hands on that was near by.

Hippies are lazy.

I see what ya did there........

It's not always necessary. But it's not always unnecessary.

Plain and simple there is no reason to strike a child with anything. Be a damn parent, communicate with your kid about right and wrong behavior....it's not that difficult. If they screw up, give them a consequence to that decision but violence is never the best way to discipline.
