Breaking: Michael Cohen striking deal with federal prosecutors

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/08/21/michael-cohen-striking-deal-with-federal-prosecutors.html

Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen is striking a deal with federal prosecutors, Fox News has learned.

Sources say the talks have moved swiftly. The terms of the deal are not yet clear, but Cohen is scheduled to appear at a New York federal court hearing at 4 p.m. ET.

Now remember, like with all these cases, Michael Cohen has nothing to do with Trump. Just like Manafort, Flynn, Papadopoulos, Gates, etc have nothing to do with Trump. Don't forget that. In case you do, FoxNews and Trump supporters on the board will be along shortly to remind you of that.

None of us have said that these people don't have anything to do with Trump. What we have said is that the crimes they are accused of have nothing to do with Trump, and certainly nothing to do with Trump colluding with Russia. Manafort is being accused of stuff he did years ago, involving the Ukraine, not Russia. Flynn's being accused of lying to the FBI,about nothing having to do with Trump. Papadapoulos is accused of lying about his efforts to arrange meetings that never happened and meetings which Manafort is on record in an email stating that Trump would take no part in.

So yes, Mueller has managed to catch them all in some illegal activities, but NONE of those activities appear to involve Trump.

We'll see with Cohen, if what he pleads to actually has anything to do with Trump or not. Could be something to do with Stormy Daniels, or he's also being accused from what I hear of other completely unrelated stuff having to do with his taxi company. Or it could be both.

"I only hire the best people." -DJT You might want to grab a box of tissues as you watch this when you realize - over and over again - that we elected this man president. Trump will have to pull off a miracle to distance himself from Cohen, as he's tried to do with all his others former cohorts.

Understood. And at this point you have no good reason to think that. I guess you can file it under wishful thinking.

Some of us like to deal in FACTS instead of just making a bunch of insinuations and associations. If and when there are facts tying Trump to any collusion with Russia, please lay them out. I've asked you to do it before and still, crickets.

Nothing in this plea deal today has the slightest thing to do with Russia collusion. If you're lucky you're going to get a very thin legal case that paying off Stormy was an illegal attempt to influence the election and not the action of an individual who didn't want his wife to find out he was screwing around. Good luck impeaching on Trump that one.

And it's not any wishful thinking on my part, as I've said before PRESIDENT PENCE would be just fine with me. I just like to follow facts. If there's any wishful thinking it's on your part.

What this is really proving is the tax code is so Byzantine that uf the Feds want to find something to hem you up on they will.

Sorry OFTB, only Bob Mueller can do that for you. You'll have to wait just like the rest of us. On a side note, there is nothing that bothers you at all about a President who's surrounded himself with criminals from the get go? All of them closely associated with him for years on end, ie Cohen and Manafort? That doesn't raise any red flags with you? All that you seem to be focused on is the phrase 'Russian collusion.' My best bet is Mueller is looking into multiple federal crimes on several levels involving Trump. For the record, the crime isn't called collusion, there's no such legal term. It's conspiracy (with a hostile foreign nation) and obstruction of justice. I'd bet it's those two charges that has Trump the most worried right about now.

As far as Manafort, there should be a verdict soon in his first trial (dealing w tax evasion) and his second trial involving Trump campaign starts mid Sept. Who knew the President would spend his first two years in office neck deep in legal jeopardy?

Don't worry Supe, your man is squeeky clean. None of this has anything to do with him. Just a bunch of hangers on being charged with petty crimes unrelated to the President. They'll never find anything that sticks to Trump. He's a fine, upstanding individual who would never commit any crimes. Just the thought of it is apalling.

All of them closely associated with him for years on end, ie Comey, Clinton, Holder, Podesta, and Jarrett - not to mention Grandpa Joe, The Molestor? That doesn't raise any red flags with you? All that you seem to be focused on is the phrase 'Russian collusion.' My best bet is Mueller is looking into, well anything up to and including an unpaid parking violation involving Trump. For the record, the crime isn't called collusion, there's no such legal term. It's conspiracy (with a hostile foreign nation) and obstruction of justice. I'd bet it's those two charges that has Hillary the most worried right about now, considering her rather illustrious and proven history with Russia, Russia, Russia.

As far as Manafort, there should be a verdict soon in his first trial (dealing w tax evasion) and his second trial involving Trump campaign starts mid Sept. Who knew the President would spend his first two years in office neck deep in legal jeopardy due to the fact that some lemming snowflakes lost their collective **** and can't accept defeat?

100% agree, Tiberius.

true, Tibs, true.

Things are peachy in the WH, nothing at all to worry about. Trump can lean back and be glad the justice system is getting rid of all these bad actors that have made him look bad. He can finally get on with his presidency and making America great again.

Benghazi, Secret Servers & Deleted Emails, Lewinsky, Watergate, Iran Contra etc. and this is the administration that is so corrupt. My, the short (and selective) memories.

And let's not forget about Michael Flynn, who's still singing to Mueller and the special counsel prosecutors. Man, they've had him by the balls for a hell of a long time.

or, and i know this may be difficult for you to understand due to your TDS, but maybe flynn has nothing that can be useful to tie to trump.

either way, carry on. nice to see you happy.

either way, carry on. nice to see you happy.
I'm not happy at all. Who in their right mind would be happy with this complete FUBAR presidency in charge of the country? I'm just updating the news of the day, which includes major developments, including situation with Cohen as well as Manafort verdict coming in soon. I'd prefer none of this was happening. Frankly, it sucks.

I don't know how many more times I can say this before you'll actually hear it...I DON"T LIKE TRUMP. I think he is a despicable human being. I wish he wasn't president. I didn't vote for him in the primary. I didn't vote for him in the general election. I won't shed a tear if he leaves office, today, tomorrow, next week or next year.

I also think facts matter. I think that it matters exactly what crime someone committed if we are going to overturn a national election. Don't you? Or is just "there are a lot of vaguely slimy characters around him" good enough for you? I'm not sure I like the idea of an investigation that started out as one thing and now appears to be "Let's find something, anything we can charge these people with and pressure them to cough something up so we can get something on Trump. Anything." I certainly don't like knowing that the investigation was initiated and run by people who are supposed to be impartial but have been extremely forthright about their obvious bias.

There's a lot I don't like about Trump, and there's a lot I don't like about this investigation. There is a lot I don't like about our whole political system. It's rotten to the core, every which way you look.

so you're agreeing with the board that you're not in your right mind? it seems you go into some really odd orgasmic posting when something, anything, anything at all, that can be even a shred damaging to Trump has a breath of life, but you want us to believe you're not happy and are sane when this happens. seriously? dude, you really need to focus more on the restaurant and its patrons than this unbelievable bullshit you're so wishing to be true.

Michael Flynn and Papadoplis would not have committed any crimes, if not for this probe. Nicely done Mueller. Manafort and Cohen have been charged with crimes unrelated to Trump. This could have been handled by a local US Attorney. Nicely done Mueller. And we have a handful of Russians that will never see a US Courtroom. Nicely done Mueller, you needed some Russians sprinkled in there to make it look legit. So this Counsel has divided this country in ways that would have seemed impossible a few short years ago, and maybe in profound ways that we may never recover from. It has demanded attention from a legally elected, sitting President that has a country to run.

This is a national disgrace, playing out before our eyes. It is setting a precedent where the parties may never again be able to work together. It has only widened the divide, and there will be payback. Payback which this country may not survive.

Well done Mr. Mueller. Hope you can sleep well at night.

you go into some really odd orgasmic posting when something, anything, anything at all, that can be even a shred damaging to Trump.

Sure, orgasmic posting. You guys always attack the messenger, instead of discussing the actual developments in the case. Such as this, which just broke:

BREAKING: MANAFORT FOUND GUILTY: Ex-Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort has been found guilty on 8 of the 18 charges against him, including 5 counts of tax fraud and one of bank fraud. He faces decades in prison. The jury was unable to reach a verdict on 10 other counts. Manafort is one of 32 people indicted in special counsel Robert Mueller's Trump-Russia probe. The guilty verdicts will put immense pressure on him to cooperate with Mueller's probe. We’re live at the Virginia courthouse where the jury was deliberating.

How exactly will a conviction put pressure on him to cooperate? No plea deal possible now...
