Archers 40 doesn't translate

You're telling us he's a bust and he hasn't even touched the field yet?????

Oh...wait....NVM.

He is not a good football player I could give a **** about his track speed.

I was wondering when a dri archer post was going to happen

5 weeks into the season and the guy has not made a 1st down yet, great waste if a #3 pick on a talent starved team.,

I loathed the Archer pick as much as anyone, but Wheaton had 6 catches last year. 3 in Week 4 and 3 in Week 11.

I wasn't a big fan of the pick but I also don't think he's playing at 100%

Wheaton was picked to be a future starter and was injured all year, Arcjher was a luxury pick who will never be a starter, your point ?

Speaking of wheaton,, and J. brown and Heyward bey.... wtf , its like ben is throwing it to Antonio or heath... or hes taking the sack..

Lol we are fast, undisciplined, and totally overrated.. we must face the terrible truth, we are the Raiders in Black n Gold

Ben completed passes to 11 different receivers today. I think they said it's a team record.

Gee, let's start another 100 page Archer thread. Why not just post in the original thread?

Give me a wicked shifty player like AB or Randle El any day over a straight line speed guy.. Archer is not shifty at all...

I think when you say shifty, you could actually mean smart.

Think about the best ways to use Archer. Now ask if you would rather bell or antonio run that same play.

I'm sure my post wasn't that ambiguous, but since you need your hand held...

It's pretty telling that the future starter played 12 games and only had 6 catches for 64 yards. Archer has had 5 touches in 3 games. You should just be happy that he's being involved in the offense at all. He's a ******* rookie.

I;m disappointed also. I was one of the wait and see ? give the guy a chance. I'm NOT saying bust and hope he gets it together. Weather his health or what, he did seem slow mo today

Salute the nation

Who gives a **** if he is a rookie, he is being force fed the ball when he is in the game and is doing nothing. He already has proven he can't return punts, he is awful at KO returns and is a nothing in the running or passing game. Wheaton was injured and was behind Cotchery, Brown and Sanders and was not force fed the ball. Wheaton is a stud while Archer is a dud and many knew this when we wastred a 3rd round pick on a small gimmick player but continue to try and compare apples to oranges.

The point is that our rookies have always been underused, even players like Antonio Brown and Markus Wheaton, who both averaged 10 YPC as rookies. What the hell do you expect from a player that came into this week with 18 snaps and 2 touches under his belt?

Archer was a **** pick, that I agree with. What I fail to understand is why you're expecting him to contribute in any manner considering the production of past, non-**** rookies.

Wheaton is a stud? Did he play today? 20 receptions in 5 games is a stud? Wheaton in my opinion has pretty much been a bust too for a 3rd round pick also.

The issue I have is that everyone was told how impossible it was to cover Archer. He's fast. He can't be covered by a LB or anyone. He is fast you know. He's a huge mismatch against anyone. Hell go look at the Archer thread and you'll see all the great predictions about how great he is going to be. He's unstoppable. Anytime someone brought up his injury history or the fact that NFL defenses can handle speed they were told Archer was different. He's really fast you know.

He's on pace for 64 catches as the #2 WR, far from a bust.

The original post wasn't even about his production. It's about how he looks SLOW out there. I said it to my brother during the game... where's this world class speed we were supposed to see? It's not there on kick off's, it's not there on jet sweeps, or bubble screens. And if he isn't playing at 100%, why is he even active. When Bryant's shoulder is 100%, I really hope he takes Archers helmet on gameday's.
