Yeah my grand parents were married a long time and my g-pap died from lung cancer. My g-ma was in seemingly good health but ended up dying a month and a half later. She collapsed on the front porch one morning and was in the hospital for 3-4 days and they were getting ready to release her. The night before she was to come home the hospital called and said we needed to come quick because she fell again and her heart was operating at like 10%. She died like an hour later. The really sad part is my friend went to visit her the next morning and I had not had a chance to tell her that she had died yet and he got a terrible shock.

RIP ... My grandparents were married 57 years and passed within two months of each other.

I think Barbara reminds us all of our grandomother)s). Lived by the Golden Rule, lived by the adage of "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all,' and instilled that in her children. She, like my grandma, would always be "dressed" for any occasion. I think what we see now (as some of us are grandparents ourselves) is that the generations who follow us are disrespectful jerks....we see that women like Barbara are a dying (no pun intended) breed. In this day of social media where ANYTHING is put out on the internet, I think it makes us all yearn to go back to when times were simpler and when people respected their elders and respected fellow man.

Jim McGrath said on Twitter that the 93-year-old Bush is "responding to treatments and appears to be recovering." He was admitted Sunday morning to Houston Methodist Hospital after an infection spread to his blood, McGrath said.

Barbara Bush was laid to rest Saturday in a ceremony attended by her husband and former presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, George W. Bush and their wives, along with current first lady Melania Trump. She was 92, and she and her husband had been married 73 years — the longest presidential marriage in U.S. history.
