Bob Woodward's New Book - Fear: Trump in the White House

So Trump is a liar, and crazy, and an idiot, and a dolt, and a megolomaniac, and insane, and unhinged.

Mmmkay. And during his tenure, we have seen:

  • Record low unemployment
  • Robust economic growth
  • Improved trade agreements, benefiting the United States
  • Increased manufacturing
  • Increased home ownership
  • Increased median income
  • No war involving the United States
  • ISIS obliterated from the Middle East
  • Iran reeling from new sanctions
  • The creation of 3 million new jobs in less than 2 1/2 years
  • Raises given to our troops
  • Booming consumer confidence
  • Prolonged economic growth, founded on private industry
  • An increase in full-time employment, compared to Bammy's part-time "recovery"

So here's my question ... if Trump is a crazy idiot responsible for all of the above, how ******* stupid and how ******* insane were his predecessors, who could not achieve a fraction of what Trump has overseen?!?

That's a valid question. He must be a genius in comparison to his predecessors because that's about twice the number of major accomplishments in 2 years as anyone else has gotten done in 4. Doesn't say much for them if he's so awful.

Not to nick pick but Trump hasn't been in office 2 years yet. So he has created 3+ million new jobs in less than 2 years.

I also remember Obama taking credit for creating OR SAVING (whatever the hell that means) X amount of jobs. I also remember the "Summer of Recovery" that never happened. Obama and his policies kept the economy down. The second he left and Trump repealed almost everything he did the economy took off.

Not to mention, all of those shovel ready jobs. Right

Bob Woodward: ‘People better wake up to what’s going on’ in Oval Office
http://thehill.com/homenews/sunday-...ople-better-wake-up-to-whats-going-on-in-oval

Veteran journalist Bob Woodward said Sunday morning that people needed to "wake up" to what's going on in the White House.

"People better wake up to what's going on," Woodward, whose new book describes a White House in turmoil, told "CBS Sunday Morning."

"You look at the operation of this White House and you have to say, 'Let's hope to God we don't have a crisis.'"

Excerpts of Woodward's upcoming book, "Fear: Trump in the White House," have been published, drawing criticism from President Trump and others.

In remarks Friday, the president called Woodward an "idiot" and his book "all fiction."

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also disparaged the book in a statement Tuesday, calling it "nothing more than fabricated stories, many by former disgruntled employees, told to make the president look bad."

Woodward denied Sunday morning that he had spoken primarily to people who had a score to settle with the president.

"My reporting is meticulous and careful," Woodward added.

Which is worse and truly affects you more.....Trump's knowlege of a payment to a mistress OR if you like your Doctor you can keep your Doctor? I'm laughing because of the butthurt over piddly stuff and "on how Trump talks" as opposed to completely wrecking many American families medical coverage.

Woodward is an old guy who is far less relevant than ever. It's his (and the publishers') last gasp effort to make a buck before old woody fades from relevance.

The economy is pretty much a continuation of what Obama set in motion. In fact last year jobs were down from all the previous 4 years under Obama.
The only difference is Trump is using unpaid for tax cuts to ignite inflation and start deficits rising again. Starting this year we will begin 20% annual increases
in the deficit with no end in sight.

Here is some math: 1 trillion dollar deficits plus full employment = eventual Great Depression II

Your math is literally as bad as your logic....

Nobody is going to buy that narrative. Unfortunately for you libs, the economy is not something you can lie about. People are living it. You can't re-write history either -

Obama -
“When somebody says like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back. Well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do? There’s no answer to it,” Obama said, refusing to even say Trump’s name.

“He just says, ‘I’m going to negotiate a better deal.’ Well how? How exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn’t have an answer,” Obama continued condescendingly.

Nobody is going to buy that narrative.

If the economy is doing so well under Trump, then why is the Federal Deficit soaring, wages remaining flat and inflation increasing?

But none of that matters, really. When the topic at hand - as highlighted in Woodward's book and the NYT Op-Ed piece - is that we have an unmoored, unhinged maniac serving as commander in chief. We are in an acute national sercurity crisis and no matter how much we talk about the economy, the problem(s) arent going away any time soon.

So Obama should not be taking credit for it?

Interesting, that in the middle of all this, Trump's press secretary has withdrawn to the dark corners of the WH. As far as I know, just like all of last week, no WH briefing on the schedule today. It has been 19 days since Sarah Huckabee Sanders last briefed reporters on camera. This the longest period since Trump took office without a single WH official being made available to take questions on camera. Strange times indeed.

The trend that started this summer has just intensified.

No... the GOOD parts of the current economy are to Obama's credit, while the BAD parts are Trump's fault. During Obama's Presidency, the BAD parts could be blamed on GWB.

Here's a little reminder for you libs about Obama and the press and whistle blowers - https://variety.com/2018/politics/news/trump-press-war-obama-administration-reporters-1202782264/

Pulitzer Prize-winning national security reporter James Risen wrote in The New York Times that if Trump wants to jail a whistle-blower or use the FBI to spy on journalists, he got the playbook from his predecessor.

Obama, who campaigned on a promise to protect government whistle-blowers, made greater use of the Espionage Act to prosecute leakers and menace journalists than all other presidents combined.

Obama’s Justice Department accessed the personal email of a Fox News reporter and surveilled the reporter’s parents and colleagues. They seized the home, work and mobile phone records of journalists at the Associated Press.

Risen, who fought the administration to protect his sources, got so deep in his own legal battle with Obama that he selected a reading list for prison before the government finally backed off.

White House officials subverted the press in a number of ways while touting themselves as the most transparent in history.

Obama routinely banned news photographers from official events. He went months between press conferences and used social media to circumvent reporters.

First lady Michelle Obama took policy trips overseas with no press on her airplane. The White House scrubbed public visitor logs of names it didn’t want in the news.

The Obama administration posted the worst record in history for fulfilling requests for public records under the Freedom of Information Act.

In a bleak episode of unintended irony, an open-government group gave Obama an award for transparency in an Oval Office ceremony closed to the press.

Trump may well end up being worse on press issues than Obama, and today’s White House reporters could be picking out their prison reading lists eventually.

But for now, those on duty there are guardedly hopeful.

Trump has proved more accessible than Obama and has not moved on threats against the industry. He has yet to discover the many uses of the Espionage Act, but he still needs to make time for a news conference.

The trend that started this summer has just intensified.

Btw, my best guess is Trump is perfectly content to hold his deranged rallies in lieu of actually facing the press and answering questions. He probably thinks this is the way to do it - taking his lead from Putin and Kim Jon-un. Get up 'in front of the people' and television cameras where he can spout bellicose lies and insults to his paid-to-participate captive audience - his pom pom cheerleading base - and be done with it.

With Trump, we are nearing the end of democracy as we know it.

It's like global warming. Cold temps are weather. Hot temps are climate.

Median income in the United States lagged during Bammy's last quarter (Q4, 2016) and that carried over through the 1st quarter of Trump's economy. Since then, median income has continued to rally:

saupload_Median-Household-Income-in-the-21st-Century-nominal-and-real-estimates-200001-to-201805_thumb1.png

Meanwhile, inflation is hovering around 2.9%, where it has been for several months:

So Trump's economy - increasing median income, steady inflation rate.

That's why Bammy is trying to take credit. What a loser.

I also interviewed over 100 people and half of them are high up in the administration. My transcripts are like 20,000 pages. I'm going to let Alex Jones interview me because he will present it as fact.
