Ben was suspended for 6 games (reduced to 4) and there was no evidence of what he was accused of. I guess I'm trying to understand what your point is.
Ben was suspended for violating the commissioner’s Player Conduct Policy. A broad sweeping policy administered solely by Goodell that was removed at the next CBA because it allowed no oversight to Goodell. Completely different from a player violating league rules. Note, Ben wasn‘t fined. Brady was and Kraft’s franchise spotted a draft pick.
I might add, you never answered my question. Do you agree they cheated, or did the NFL commit conspiracy by penalizing the owner, Head Coach and Franchise? I haven’t degraded you or intimated abusive or foul names to you, so please answer.
Actually, everything you posted is extremely disputable. With that said, most of the opinions in this thread seem more about opting for make believe fantasy in an attempt to preserve certain individual's bruised egos more than it does an actual quest for the truth.
"The reason I destroyed the tapes is they were totally consistent with what the team told me," Goodell said during his State of the NFL speech.
Ridiculous to use that as a point of conjecture. The League almost lost their Anti-Trust exemption for just that act, which goes against the even simplest of investigative protocols by any business, corporation or ruling body. Arlen Spector even asked Goodell, why destroy the tapes or evidence? When Goodell replied so as to not provide any further disadvantage to the clubs, Spector then stated why would there be any further disadvantages, you are the Commissioner? Pointing out that the tapes were destroyed so as to prevent the public uncovering the full scope of circumvention by Kraft’s franchise and specifically his Head Coach. That would have made Congress investigate with much more oversight of the infractions retroactive to 2001 that the commissioner included in his investigation (in which he covered up for his BFF).
I'm not a troll and I also enjoy myself outside of this forum too. I guess I'm trying to understand how posting factual information that doesn't include personal bias, name-calling, and the willingness to promote libel on a public forum equates to me wanting to troll and rile others up? That train of thought just seems off to me ..
As stated, I haven’t inflected a personal bias, called you names or promote anything that’s the public domain.
The NFL reviewing cases and issuing sanctions is NOT proof of guilt.
Wrong. As they are exempt from Anti-Trust laws, they are independent in reviewing actions that violates the NFL charter and bylaws agreed to by ALL owners. If any player, coach, team administrator breach any bylaw or “Tarnish the Shield” the League has total oversight. Penalties reflects a violation, or in your term GUILT. Only if there is a criminal event, does a investigation incorporate outside League involvement.
You obviously get you jollies off trolling other teams boards, so you are probably the formally recognized Pop, Bob or TB12. That’s fine, you obviously have different methods of soothing your infantile ego.
