And again. This much like covid has the potential to turn into an anti asian narrative depending how the media wants to spin it. They did it with covid even though it was specifically traced to china.

They admitted it was theirs. Other than that all is speculation. Yes it could be spying which I believe so. It very could be a harmless weather balloon as advertised. That’s it.

From what I've already heard we got a lot of data from it while it was above. That's most likely the reason it wasn't shot down much sooner. It was providing us with something.

Only logical reasons I can think of for not shooting it down right away are that 1) it might have some other new disease on it or 2) there’s a better chance of recovering it with less damage if it lands on water.
