CO2 and Global Warming: More evidence that the bootlicking media are worthless ******

1624551939732.png

It's not just the Western region of the US that's sweltering right now. Siberia in Russia is baking, and satellites are bearing witness to a brutal heat wave above the Arctic Circle. Copernicus Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B satellites captured a snapshot of land surface temperatures on June 20, and it was hot.

According to NASA, "Land surface temperature is how hot the 'surface' of the Earth would feel to the touch in a particular location." The Sentinel image shows a peak ground temperature of 118 degrees Fahrenheit (48 degrees Celsius) near Verkhojansk, a small town usually known for its extreme cold temperatures.

The World Meteorological Organization has been tracking the rise in temperatures around the world. "The most dramatic change is in the Arctic, which is warming more than twice as fast as the global average," the agency said Monday in a statement aimed at raising awareness of the urgency to act on the climate crisis.

Again you simply don't know what you are talking about. You're just posting articles that you don't understand. You're a troll and won't answer simple questions. Did you catch this tidbit in the article:

air T reached 31.9°C 🌡️ (the highest value since 1936)

So this happened in the 1930's as well. Most all time temps in the U.S. and many other countries go back into the 1930's. Climate is cyclical. This is just a weather pattern. See "Weather" is what is happening now... "Climate" is what happens over a long period of time. Now please stop wasting your time trying to google climate disasters because you want to prove something. Stop being a troll.

OT, but it's interesting how Tiborat found all that time to troll this forum today, but when there was absolutely crazy Steelers news, he couldn't make it up to the football forum.

Almost as if he was avoiding something.

/checks watch to see what time it is, to make sure moist-panties Steelworth doesn't have an aneurysm about time stamps. Phew, I think this'll be okay, coast is clear. Let's give it a go.

Hey, Steelworth, why don't you **** right off? You're turning out to be quite the fascist Nazi, constantly monitoring who's doing what & when on this board. Seeing your m.o. on here, you must be unbearable in real life, sticking your nose all up in everyone's business. I feel bad for anyone who has to put up with your ****. ******* obsessive compulsive freak. Get a life. :jagoff:

Hey Tibs. You respond to Steelworth. Cool.

Are you going to respond to Vader?

Sure thing, boss. I think Vader, like many others here, has his head firmly planted in the sand. He can argue semantics, and we can disagree on what needs to be done, but until there is a fundamental agreement on the extent of the problem we're facing globally, there is simply no sense in engaging in banter, back and forth.

I don't have any solutions. I'm not pointing fingers at the States or other Western nations. I'm not ignoring the huge impact coming from China, India and other countries.

I am simply trying to shine a light on a few simple facts that the world's scientists have been screaming about from the rooftops, for decades.

It's a two-way highway, with a huge concrete divider seperating those who think global warming/climate change is an urgent, relevant issue and those who don't. The impasse between the two couldn't be any wider.

Then please address his contention that this is weather, not climate.

The legitimate science and research is out there, from NASA on down.

Why would anyone engage in good faith on this board? It's a total shitshow. >

No one gives a ****, you ******* commie.

Much like when I have engaged you in good faith?

You have, and kudos to you for doing so. Problem is, the board is full of antagonism, bluster & hate, as well as self-admitted trolls who do nothing but yap at my ankles. The insanity, white noise & shrieking in the room is too loud to sift & sort through each thread to converse with a handful of decent posters on here.

So I put on my HAZMAT suit, take a deep breath and dive in and out in short spurts. I try to get out with as many brain cells intact as humanly possible. It's a challenge, increasingly so.

you say that, then post a tweet that points fingers at the United States of America.
Hypocrisy, its name is Tiborat

Vile comrade Tibs, useful idiot.

I have great faith that most of SN.com, in any poll, would choose you to "**** right off", first.
I cannot think of a single poster that would even come a close second to you in a poll that asked "who should **** right off SN.com?"

You are vile, offensive to sensibilities and keep suggesting that others are "Nazi" like in some way. You keep trying to push divisive gradients on all topics in order that you can virtue signal your self worth and moral character......when all readers understand that your real motives are to squash the will and liberty of the people that simply disagree with your views.

While I appreciate that you have a right to tell others to "**** right off", that same right is held by all on SN.com --- and it seems most/many would strongly prefer that you be gone.

So, **** right off Tiborat/Decaf/vile comrade Tibs.

Not much reason to continue this because Tibs has his beliefs and no evidence is going to change that. The idea that this goes back to the 50's is asinine. Some scientists may have thought that back then but it was just a theory. In the 70's scientist were talking about global cooling. Everyone has seen the Time's article about it. There was even talk about paint the North Pole black to keep the heat in. There are also thousands of scientists that believe that this is just part of a cycle and they don't believe in man made GW. Fact is that the climate is cyclical. I can show you right now that half the U.S is experiencing much cooler than normal temps. But again that doesn't prove anything. It's weather.

BTW every single climate model from the late 80's until this present day have been wrong.... not just a little off but completely wrong. In the late 90's - early 2000's the climate models had Florida and most of the south east U.S. under water by 2012 if nothing was done.... well nothing was done and we're almost 10 years past that point.

One more thing. IF the water levels rise by just ~10' that would flood the entire south east U.S., the entirety of England, and most of Europe. Follow the money. IF... now catch this... IF the money makers really believed that all these areas would be underwater within the next 50 years then nobody could get a loan to build there. There isn't ONE... NOT ONE prospectus that mentions global warming or climate change and these companies are building condos all over the coast line. You know why? Because they don't believe for a second that GW is going to do what the models project and have been projecting for years. The financial institutions and banks of the world know it isn't going to happen or they would never give the money out.

I knew it was going to come soon.

 :ROFLMAO:

It was chilly this morning in my neighborhood. Unusually cool for late June. I wonder if that is going to make the climate news.

I noticed that as well. It was 52 degrees when I woke this morning.

I looked out the window and saw a lone javelina walking through the yard. This must mean something, right?

"It means global warming killed that javelina's mate."

/s Tiborat

P.S. Non-Arizonans - i.e., savages - probably don't know what a javelina is. It's a small wild pig. They are not nearly as big or vicious as boars, and are quite populous in the Grand Canyon state.

'Tis just the weather, folks, calm down, calm down.

Now tell the rest of the story...

We only have about 160 years of recorded weather data and we know the earth was hotter before the last ice age.
He will only respond with snide comments, other people's words, or a meme. He's a troll.

I bet the government can get the temperature down to normal if we just hand over our money.

Now THAT'S a bingo. End of thread.
