There's a whole lot to gene therapy (which I admittedly don't know a lot about), but it's the vector and type of virus that's critical in how the genetic material enters a cell IIRC. Even though this is a novel coronavirus - I keep hearing how these are adenovirus-vectored Covid-19 vaccines. And adenovirus involves entry into the nucleus. But I'm not 100% positive, so I'll leave the specifics up to the actual scientists.
All I do know is that I'm not messing around with mRNA at this point.
I believe Tim pointed that out about a year ago when discussing the mortality rate for the lab-made Chinese flu in the United States, and you blew off the point and ranted more about Trump.
Maybe there's hope yet.

The high school that my daughters go to just announced that masks will only be required on the bus, not in the school. No proof of vaccination required either, unlike the commie school system in Indianapolis.
So I have to take a non FDA approved drug that has serious side effects (yeah yeah numbers) because America is a bunch of fat ***** that can’t put McDs down or go to the gym. Wow. Now me living a healthy lifestyle is infringe on because of fat, lazy, undisciplined *****.
The best option would have been to use the experimental vaccines on the most in danger, and hold out for the traditional vaccine that is in final testing phases for everyone else… if the mnra vaccine has long term consequences, this then doesn’t impact the majority of the population…
that is the thing that people aren’t getting about the issue… the vaccine doesn’t erradicate it, it doesn’t slow the spread of the mutations, and we don’t have any long term data on the treatment… it’s shortsighted and insane to try to get the majority of your population on something they don’t have that data for yet… you literally could be causing a huge medical crisis ten years down the road…
again all the info needs to be put out there for people to make the best choice in their opinions… nothing should be forced or denied… this is scary stuff in either direction and the only absolutely certain thing is if you are totally certain about any of this yet, you are probably a fool…

The non-vaccinated are prolonging the pandemic and its leading to avoidable deaths. We’re not asking you to storm the beaches of Normandy or donate a kidney. We’re asking you to take a vaccine that 150 Million people have already taken with exceedingly rare serious side effects. How ******* hard is that for you and your ilk to understand? Talk to us in 5 or 10 years. Everyone keeps talking about how safe this vaccine is 8 months in. The "testing" is still going on. Warning labels are still being applied. New ones monthly it seems.

Tragic indeed. But, to use your words, you are highlighting an "exceedingly rare" case of a youth dying from COVID. I believe the death rate of those 18 and under is 331 divided by 74.2 million people in this age group.

The entire staff and inmates of our facility here in WY got tested Monday. Three inmates were positive (out of about 750 ish people), and two of them had had the vaccine, one of those having had covid already.
I was negative.

How many among the 750ish are vaccinated? Are the 3 positives sick?

I don't know the answer to either. I do know that a majority of our staff has said that they will not get vaccinated. My entire department said we would quit if mandated.
