SMH. It’s a valid point as to why people should get vaccinated and why the pandemic should be mitigated. It’s an invalid point to use it as an excuse to not get vaccinated or not mitigate the virus.

You realize most on the right were never ever against vaccines, that is a manufactured narrative based on a few loonies and a lot of lies from the left. Skepticism on the vaccine from the public is not a party line issue at all. Their are plenty on both sides of the spectrum who are hesitant. Please show me where Desantis has ever been against it. Quit trying to politicize something that isn’t political for most at the grass roots level.

Yeah, and while he's more assertive in the vid about vaccines, this isn't a magical new stance for DeSantis.

The thing I didn't really understand is, the survival rate in general is like 99% already, correct? So I wasn't sure about his comparison there.

I want to start seeing some data on the infected in three categories: Those who have been infected and got reinfected, those who have had the vaccine then got infected, and those who have had the vaccine and have been infected and then got reinfected.

The following is observation based on zero science...but what I am seeing/reading - it seems like we are hearing a lot about people who have had the vaccine getting COVID - Texas Democrats, athletes, etc. A LOT of stories.

I am hearing little to nothing about people who have had COVID getting reinfected.

Know of a couple locally who got the vaccines...then a month later and got COVID and have it really bad. Know of two others who had the vaccine and contracted it. I am hearing far more about people catching COVID after vaccines than those getting reinfected.

If anyone has studies/data on this, would love to read.

Anecdotally, it seems like having had COVID seems a better level of protection. Again, this is based on my limited observation.

If 95% of the Florida cases are unvaccinated while other delta case tracking in Europe are 50/50 or 60/40 then something is off… since JJ and pfizer are talking delta variant boosters… they think there is a problem


The narrative is slowly moving towards hospitalization rates, but thos numbers have dipped from 95 to 85% unvaccinated lately and are trending downward to the previous predicted 75%… which is still good by the way ….
However add the hospitalization for those that reacted to the vaccine itself and its still not a slam dunk case for vaccines

again if you are in a high problem demographic, then it’s probably smart… but remember both parties are run by dipshits… you dont put the entire population at risk with unknown treatments for a virus that has no ability to kill at a rate that is actually impactful to the long term viability of that population… its short sighted in the worse way

No one should be mandating it for this particular disease and certainly not until we have firm data about the vaccine. That said I am vaccinated and encourage people to get it but it should be their choice.

Except you can't catch stds just by being in the same public place with with someone. And you can personally require a negative test before having sex with them.

My son eats Big Macs fairly frequently and is 6'2" 165 lbs. So no lol. Dietary choices aren't contagious to other people.

The Supreme Court has generally upheld vaccine mandates for places like schools in the the interest of public health, with religious exemptions.

The fact that this is not an FDA approved thing might shift that decision, who knows.
