DONALD J. TRUMP STATEMENT

Last night’s horrific execution-style shootings of 12 Dallas law enforcement officers – five of whom were killed and seven wounded - is an attack on our country. It is a coordinated, premeditated assault on the men and women who keep us safe.

We must restore law and order. We must restore the confidence of our people to be safe and secure in their homes and on the street.

The senseless, tragic deaths of two people in Louisiana and Minnesota reminds us how much more needs to be done.

This morning I offer my thoughts and prayers for all of the victims’ families, and we pray for our brave police officers and first responders who risk their lives to protect us every single day.

Our nation has become too divided. Too many Americans feel like they’ve lost hope. Crime is harming too many citizens. Racial tensions have gotten worse, not better. This isn’t the American Dream we all want for our children.

This is a time, perhaps more than ever, for strong leadership, love and compassion. We will pull through these tragedies.

They should. I've just about had it with this we are going to tell our narrative instead of offering factual reporting on the what actually happened.

Not sure what can be done. This is a major moment. Citizens can't attack the cops sniper style.

Perhaps the police should draw one gun if needed and use the taser in the other hand when in doubt on a difficult arrest?

When is it enough? Law abiding, peace loving Americans need to rise up an take this country back. Liberalism has so divided this country by placing everyone into some kind of special victim category, convincing them that talking to one another just won't work and only the government can fix their problems. Yet, most fail to see that government has done nothing to fix this, and can't fix it. Hell our president is in a foreign country blaming racism. How does this help? It doesn't. It makes it worse. And I suspect that is what they want. Plus you have a media that sensationalizes everything, makes excuses for criminal behavior, and is pretty much a mouthpiece for the stupidity that seems to occur over and over again. This country is just about to break into chaos and quite possibly civil war. If you are not armed, I would get with it. Protect yourself.

Good point. Sadly my faith in federal agencies to follow the law has diminished. I will say Obama on this topic is worse than Hillary.

Obama looks like Al Sharpton, coming out early in shooting cases, often mistaken after the fact come out.

Has he ever come out for a cop shooting a white guy? Never. And the cops kill white guys than black according to the statistics.

This will be a tricky one for the media. Here's how I think it will go.

Step 1, stand back a bit while it's fresh and just make bland statements of sympathy that also include that the outrage of BLM is still justified
Step 2, carve out these shooters from BLM as if their thinking is not representative of the group
Step 3, ramp up coverage of the Louisiana shooting to further push that the anger at cops is totally justified, this guy just took it too far.
Step 4, push for gun control

Step 5, start saying that the temperament and racism of Trump would only further break down race relations and make situation worse. We need the nurturing hand of Hillary so we can heal.

So, the Attorney General was on and said they launched civil rights investigations into the police shootings of the black men even though there is no evidence of such. But, I sort of understand.

Why the ****, then, did she not launch a civil rights investigation into the killings of the police officers when the black men said they were out to kill white people and preferably white cops? Why not label this a hate crime as it obviously was?

I guess our government truly does not recognize anything but racism against blacks when, in this day and age, there is as much or more racism against whites.

Oh, and don't get me started about racist Jesse Jackson blaming this on Trump. WTF!

Also note that the assailant who was killed was a trained former soldier who remained calm and used his military knowledge to execute his part of the plan. Perhaps Congress should start considering the necessity to disarm the military.

The shooter was a racist black Muslim.

Johnson’s profile photo on Facebook shows him in a dashiki, holding a clenched fist in the air. Johnson’s cover photos are a black liberation flag and a black power fist.

Johnson did not explicitly identify himself as a member of the Nation of Islam, a militant black Muslim group, but liked pages relating to Elijah Mohammed, the group’s deceased founder. Johnson also liked several militant and black separatist groups such as The New Black Panther Party and the African American Defense League.

The league posted on Facebook after Johnson’s massacre: “ATTACK EVERYTHING IN BLUE EXCEPT THE MAIL MAN, UNLESS HE IS CARRYING MORE THAN MAIL.”
Johnson also liked the Black Riders Liberation Party, which describes itself as a “new generation” of Black Panthers.
