Democrats are self-destructing.

Most American intervention isn't about National Security, its related to acquiring oil, so that Ron can spill gas out of his gas can, use up
energy with inefficient light bulbs and waste gas in his car. Seems like selfishness overrides the welfare of future generations. That's
why this generation is passing its taxes onto its kids and grandkids.

No, we are passing taxes onto our grandkids because we continually spend more than we take in in revenue. The federal government took in roughly $3.5 trillion in 2017. They spent roughly $4.1 trillion. That's how you pass taxes on to your kids.

Problem is the young guys are pure socialists or pure race democrats. Their party is really split between the two ideologies. And I don't see anyone like an Obama that can snake oil sell both sides what they want to hear. And they have completely pushed away traditional swing voters other than the Anti-Trumpers who are just so bitter and hateful (see the people here) that their toxicity is driving people away from politics or even wanting to discuss it or get involved.

Everything the democrats have right now is hate and spite and animosity. Either the blacks hate the cops, the hispanics hate ICE, the liberal elite hate Trump.... I haven't heard one policy or answer to a problem in this country from the left in over a year (maybe more). Only that the answers Trump is proposing and enacting are so bad they will collapse all of Western civilization (which is funny how it never seems to happen).

I mean think of all the problems we talk about or want to improve... economy, immigration, trade, taxes, health care... the democrats right now are basically running on "status quo". Economy is fine (don't do anything). Immigration is fine (go back to Obama's look the other way approach), trade is fine (just let it alone), taxes were fine (no one needs a tax break, we need to tax MORE), health care is fine (let Obamacare alone).

I guess according to the democrats everything was just perfect after Obama and everyone in this country knows that is wrong (at least when they really thought about it). That's why they lost and that's why they will lose again. They will end up running a campaign of "lets go back to Obama" and rolling back everything Trump has/will do. I don't think that wins.

Yeah the Republican platform of " We are going to build a big beautiful wall to keep the brown people out before they out breed you" sure is the epitome of great ideas...................

That and " we are also going to allow the poisoning of our air and water, start trade wars to drive out any remaining American businesses, give tax breaks to the richest Americans, and seal our fate when it comes to climate change" sure sounds appealing.......

If you really think that was the platform that won, you will underestimate the conservatives in this country and continue to lose. Because that isn't at all about why I voted for Trump.

It ABSOLUTELY was the platform that won, and it's all you're getting champ.

you are exactly what is wrong with the democratic party....

And the reason white millennials and minorities of all ages are starting to flee the party in droves. They are sick of being a part of a political party whose only interest is spreading hate. The Democrat base is evaporating rapidly.

The Numbers Are In, And It’s Looking Pretty Bad For Senate Dems In November

Democrats are in for an uphill battle in November’s midterm elections as they struggle to overtake the GOP-led Senate

Although Democrats only need to pick up two seats to gain the majority in the Senate, they are struggling to control 10 states already held by Democratic senators.

These states are now predominantly red states with voters who are strong supporters of President Donald Trump. They include Indiana, Missouri, Montana and North Dakota, all of which Trump won in 2016, while his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton couldn’t even win over 40 percent of voters in any of those states, according to a Politico report.

Chances of flipping most states where Republican senators are up for reelection seems slim, with states like Nebraska, Utah and Wyoming most likely a solid GOP win, according to polling data by RealClearPolitics. Democrats’ only hope will be to replace GOP Sen. Jeff Flake from Arizona as he retires with one of their own, while simultaneously defeating GOP Sen. Dean Heller in Nevada.

The poll suggests that 49 percent of voters would vote for GOP Gov. Rick Scott over Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson in Florida, 52 percent would vote for GOP Rep. Kevin Cramer over Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota, and 49 percent would vote for Republican Mike Braun against Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly in Indiana.

Yeah, I think those of us who actually work for a living and pay for government leeches (*cough*elfie) have already received a tax cut, growing wages, and booming economy.

Thanks for playing. Enjoy the home game version of "Hey, Steeltime Kicked My *** Again" along with a year's supply of Turtle Wax and Eskimo pies!!

I think the Liberals are finally coming to grips that their Titanic has hit the iceberg.**

The Russia distraction will boomerang back at them.***There is no evidence of collusion and Trump isn't even a suspect.

Trump looks to get another supreme court justice approved.*

They are facing tough battles and will likely not get control of the Senate, which means Trump will have the votes he needs to make America Great again.** A 3rd supreme court justice for Trump is not out of the question.**

What happens next is anyone guess.* Assuming the Republicans hold the Senate in the midterm elections, my guess is the left starts to finger point and become more fragmented.

Out of the top 10 worst run cities in America, 9 of them are run by mayors who are Democrats. I can't believe Chicago, Baltimore and St. Louis didn't make the list. The Republican is in MS.

Here are the 10 worst-run cities according to WalletHub’s July 9 release:

Washington D.C.
Detroit, Mich.
New York City, N.Y.
San Francisco, Calif.
Gulfport, Miss.
Oakland, Calif.
Chattanooga, Tenn.
Flint, Mich.
Cleveland, Ohio
Hartford, Conn.

My tip of the day....

Went to the range with Mrs. Burgundy after work yesterday. I was borderline horrible, she on the other hand was scary deadly accurate. Supervisor at the range looks at me and says, "I wouldn't come home late on her if I were you". My compact 9mm is light and easy to conceal but I think it's too small for my hands really. On the other hand I don't know that I want some big-*** 1911.

Chicago residents might disagree about not rating in the top 10.

The deficit in 2017 was 666 billion and is projected in 2018 to go up 20% to 800billion and then go up another 20%
in 2019 to 960billion then over a trillion in 2020. The tax cuts were paid for with credit card economics. Eventually
the younger generation should catch on that their parents and grandparents are passing their taxes on for them to
pay.

They should have caught on to it when it started 20 years ago. I think it is funny how you act like this is something new, like a fat person just wakes up one morning and realizes they are fat. Like so many things, once the horse is out of the barn, you aren't getting it back in. It is why we run an annual deficit and have been for well over a decade. Politicians make promises of free **** with no plan to pay for it other than to raise taxes on an already over taxed society. I am no genius, but this is actually pretty simple. If you don't spend more than you have, you won't go into debt. Our government has been over spending forever.

EDIT: I noticed you forgot to mention one little thing. Tax receipts are also projected to go up in each of those years. The problem isn't the tax cuts. The problem is spending. Until we acknowledge and control spending, the rest is academic.

Need to get rid of the career people in Congress and pass a balanced budget amendment. I will vote for Rand Paul in the primary any time he runs.
