Opinions on his comments about the Anthem, and players kneeling. Tons of major sports stars and his teammates are crucifying him on social media. Personally I agree with him, ok to protest but not during the anthem.

That's his first amendment right to express his opinion (which I personally agree with but understand that others may not feel the same way and that's their first amendment right), and by the way, these guys are on the job. Us normal folk at work aren't protesting while we're on the clock. And this **** was never an issue until the NFL and DoD got in cahoots and apparently paid players money to look patriotic and make the Armed Services look more attractive to the Average Joe.

They could have squashed this **** (airing the player's reactions to the national anthem), at the first little sign of trouble they saw.

I feel bad for the guy seems like a good dude. Now he has everyone from Lebron James bashing him to his own teammates. He probably does more to help people than most of the people criticizing him. I am glad he did not back down from his comments. All he was saying was he didnt feel the anthem was the proper place to protest. Not very outrageous to me...

I agree with him.

The people that are upset want't to hear their opinions coming out of his mouth.

I hope NE and Trump supporter BB signs him given that may be the only locker room that will have him now.

Never liked the Golden Boy but do now.

If I protested police brutality at my job I would be fired...if I had a job, that is.

Inevitable. Who's fascist again?

What everyone needs to take away from all this is the simple truth Malcom X tried to share so long ago.

White people are the devil. No, not in a tongue in cheek way. Not in a "White people are as evil as the devil" way. The simple ever manifesting truth is that white people are literally, not figuratively, the sole creation of Satan himself. If you are white, you are inherently evil. Nothing you can do, nothing you can say, no amount of pandering to people of other races can change the fact that you are fundamentally evil and ultimately what is wrong with the world.

So the next time you see some delusional white person talking about Black Lives Matter etc. remind that person that he or she is white, and as Malcom X so eloquently told a young woman decades ago, there is absolutely nothing he or she can do to change the fundamental evil nature inside him or her. So, by al means, pretend you're sympathetic to the black and brown movement. They may even have deluded themselves to the point to actually believe they ARE sympathetic to the movements. But ultimately THEY are the problem and the only actual solution is for white people everywhere to simple die.

And THAT is God's honest truth.

Lets sum this up: You are allowed to have an opinion in this country, so long as it is aligned with the libtard left. If your views contrast the libtard left, you are instantly labeled a racist, biggot, sexist, deplorable...etc and must then apologize for having an opinion.

And in working toward solving the black lives matter crisis. Shouldn't black leaders around the world get together and begin laying down a new philosophical creed wherein black people refuse to harm one another going forward. Should a gang war require a show of strength, let these disputed be decided by tallying the number of white people killed by each gang rather than by taking up arms against one another. This solves two problems at once. Not only are blacks not harming one another, depleting their numbers and focusing themselves endlessly on distraction and infighting, but they are actively and continually thinning the numbers of white people in the world.

These killings can be targeted or random. The fundamental requirement however is that rather than exercising violence on one another, the people come to accept violence against the evil white people as an acceptable substitution. And all parties agree that victory be based on nothing more complicated than the sheer number of white people killed by each competing party.

Lets sum this up: You are allowed to have an opinion in this country, so long as it is aligned with the libtard left. If your views contrast the libtard left, you are instantly labeled a racist, biggot, sexist, deplorable...etc and must then apologize for having an opinion.

Too many "liberals" are in fact white people. As such they are absolutely, unequivocally no different than conservative white people or violent activist white people. They all need to be killed systematically in order to purge the world of the scourge of white people. Don't waste your time considering liberal, conservative etc. If a person is white, he or she is inherently evil and realistically ought to be executed.

Brees wouldn’t be vilified if he were black and had the same opinion. Just sayin. And that is a huge problem.

Judging by the comments, it will not placate the perpetually-outraged.

Brees values his NFL legacy and squeezing out one more year than he does his self-respect.

What a wimp!

It's as simple as this for me. I get if someone has a labor dispute and wants to protest that as it relates directly to your job.

If you look at sports from purely an entertainment perspective, it doesn't help that every media outlet feels that it's necessary to show every single form of protest on the highlight/recap shows. Again, protest for what you believe in and look for changes for the better...just do it when you are off the clock.

Didn't Brees give a million dollars to the City of New Orleans? The man's a hero. I Agree with him. No one is buying a ticket to see a dim wit who supports Castro take a knee in protest.

Brees could cure Corona virus right now and they wouldn't care. He's now the new public enemy #1.

Drew Brees shows why polls can no longer be trusted. Because it has been clear for years that if you do not support the accepted Dem/Media narrative, then you better shut your damn mouth or be destroyed.

That message has been received by many people who only speak out anonymously on the internet. And every 4 years at the ballot box.

I completely understand and respect the way African-Americans feel about the Confederate flag. Regardless of how anybody spins it, it is a symbol to them and it should go away.

Why can't they then understand how many of us revere the American flag and the anthem for what it symbolizes to many of us? People who fought and died for this country.

I know the answer, its just I think it is important to throw those points out there.

And I would have never apologized I'd quit at his point before I'd apologize. Then the Saints can sign Kapernick and see how many games they win.

While I conpletely agree with you, to keep his good name, try to secure the lockerroom and keep his family safe from whoknowswhat people are capable of, he was going to apologize. He has done so much good for NO, it is being washed away in one statement/stance. All it takes is a few people to be outraged and esp his teammates, as the timing couldn't be worse. I feel we are walking on egg shells right now and the slightest manuever or unfavorable words are causing anger and more division. We are living in really touchy times.
