It’s been Shaun King, and only Shaun King so far to go on record and connect the Pittsburgh Steelers to Deshaun Watson. That number has now doubled to two.
ESPN analyst, and talk show host Kimberley Martin just tweeted that five teams were closely watching the Watson situation today.
Interesting enough division rival Cleveland could also be in on Watson. They of course have grown upset with quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Martin says she expects teams to make a pitch to Watson in the coming week. Because he will need to waive his no trade clause he will be able to have some say in his next destination.
Minutes after Martin posted this tweet, the usually wrong Jason La Canfora claimed the Steelers aren’t in on Watson.
Here is another one. We will say that Aaron Wilson is usually completely in the know with all things Texans.
We will see what happens in the next few days.

Teams discussing Deshaun have already factored in a potential league suspension. At this stage it’s not a deterrent. Suitors — and there are several — are thinking well beyond 2022.
And w/ Watson having a say in where he goes, teams will make their pitch over the coming week

The Steelers are not going to be a part of this Deshaun Watson pursuit.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have not and are not expected to be a player in the Deshaun Watson trade market, according to multiple league sources.
