If Tua is out, I bet they come calling.
Yeah this is his career move. I wish him wellI think a lot can happen in two weeks. Justin Fields couldn’t ask for a better chance at starting the season. He needs to keep improving and showing life.
Week 1 was a pretty good outing for Justin, now he needs to build on that. the OC needs to game plan to Justin’s strengths, which I’m fully sure he is capable of that (unlike O’Canada).
I think Field’s play is as big a factor as Russ’ health as how long Wilson is kept off the field.
Salute the nation
C. A long season potentially even longer if things go well. You don’t deplete depth at critical positions. For teams that are past a wish and a prayer perhaps. Definitely not out of the gates. If the Steelers would do that I would prefer they would send that decision maker packing right along with them.I mean two things..
A never believe what teams leak...
B. You dont trade a Qb when a Starter has injury issues... barring a stupid overpayment
Especially not an experienced & super low cost QBI mean two things..

Truth. Same with Baltimore right side. Cost them a game off the batIf I was Miami, I'd be asking if one of our offensive tackles and/or guards were available. The left side of their OL is depleted by injuries and their backups were horrendous. Of course the same argument about trading depth when the season is fresh holds true with our OL.
I was just thinking maybe a 4th next year for Russ. I wouldn't take it though. We need both these guys on the roster for the entire year in case one gets hurt. The key is overpayment... as a GM there should be no total untouchables, but hey if someone wants to offer something absurd, like ten firsts for TJ Watt... you do it, understanding that that team is gonna suck for a lot of those picks...
this early, if someone offers market value for a QB you say no
If they offer slightly over market value, you say no
If they offer you a huge package you can trade in the offseason for a top draft pick to get a long term QB, you do it... then sign a Tannehill type as a backup and hope the guy you kept does great...
Now if you are a top contender maybe you even ignore overpayments... but there is no substantial proof we are even close to there yet
