Fire Tomlin.

Honest question. Has anyone ever looked at tomlin during a game and felt he was in total control of the team and felt he was the better coach and was going to make the right calls on clock management and in game adjustments ? I look at Tomlin as an imbecile and about as effective as a coach in an all star game in any sport, just there for the ride.

I keep staring at this postgame quote.

“He got looked at at halftime,” Tomlin said, via Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Media. “He got treatment. He came back out. We were waiting to see if he was going to be able to come back in — he was. Probably could have come in a series or so sooner. But we were in the rhythm and flow of the game. He was ready to go when he got back out there.”

I'm not so sure.

I think the Packers created a new template by firing McCarthy, a coach with a winning record, and one who's well-regarded around the league.

It could happen with Tomlin. A lot of the "he-will-never-be-fired" talk stems from him being a minority hire.

But he can be fired. And that got closer to happening with today's loss.

But Green Bay doesn't have our stubborn owners to deal with.

So true, the greatest coach in NFL history, Chuck Noll had to either fore his coordinators or get fired himself and Cowher was in the same boat. The Rooney Rule makes it harder for the Steelers to justify a firing of the moron with his won loss record etc.

And here is Ben Post Game Interview

He was CLEARED to play the second he came back on the field. He was jumping up and down he was ready to play but Tomlin went with his gut and lost once again. Problem is Tomlin is a fat *** with a huge gut and a pea brain with a small brain, a bad combination for a stupid arrogant head coach who has no fear for his job. Not a shock the moron was a huge Hillary supporter, entitled *******, him and Hillary.

tomlin sucks. he shouldn't be here. shouldn't be back next year. but even he understands that ben gives a better chance of winning than Dobbs. I stand by my 1st thought. waiting on shot to kick in

Tomlin does absolutely nothing. Rarely is he even talking to anyone.. but he does pound his chest when his QB wins the game despite his ineptitude, so there's that atleast.

I don't see Tomlin going anywhere. With Tomlin it is all about his assistant coaches and players. He has a great OL coach so he has a great OL. His DC suck so the defense sucks. Tomlin is a figurehead coach and adds nothing to the team that the team doesn't already have. He isn't an X's and O's coach so that means he relies on his assistant coaches for that. He is in charge of managing the game. Which he is horrible at doing. And he is also involved in signing off on the offensive and defensive plans every week. We all see how that is going.

Tomlin is only going to win if the players and other coaches can drag him along and overcome his ineptness.

Maybe since if he got a shot it was during halftime the 35 or 40 minutes it took to get to the 8:45 mark of the 3rd quarter was how long it took for the shot to kick in and for Ben to be declared CLEARED. Why would he come out then if he was still waiting ?

Well **** the way you make it sound I could do it. NFL coaches are paid to fix problems. Mike Tomlin cannot fix problems. So he should not be coaching this team.

even a slightly bruised rib makes it feel like you are breathing in ice water. one of the most painful things to try and play with. I don't think Ben quit. I thin he was waiting for the pain to subside.

Ben played another series (maybe even two) after that sack. ****, he lead them on a touchdown drive, going 6/6 passing. Did the pain kick in while they were in the locker room? And, yes, I would absolutely expect our HOF qb to make them keep him off the field while watching the abortion that dobbs led, while you could feel the game start to slip away; cannot stand the fucjing prick, but no ******* way Does Brady sit on his hands and watch that unfold.

Anybody who tries to defend him in any way, after losing to a team playing for the #1 pick in the draft needs a ******* skull punch. The unfortunate truth is he isn't going anywhere any time soon, and the window with this team, with Ben is closing shortly. Then it's back to awful like the 80's bullshit. I don't get how the owners don't see it or give a damn? it's obvious they don't.

That's all I'm saying. Watch the play where they say he got hurt. he takes bigger shots than that every week. By the way, our great OL got man handled by a team at the bottom of the league in sacks, pressures and rush defense. What a cluster **** this entire game was.

I wouldn't go so far as to call him an imbecile but I have been saying this for at least 8 years I think this team has won in spite of him. Without Ben Bell and Brown he would have already been gone. It's hard to even remember a situation where something he changed in game, directly impacted a game, resulting in a win. And he sure as hell impacted today's game by keeping Ben out didn't he.

Naw, man, Ben didn't want to come back in and play against one of the worst pass defenses in the league with the season basically on the line (even though he did exactly that in the fourth quarter) for reasons only FAB802 can understand.

So you guys believe Ben told coach he didn't want to play. Tomlin agrees and keeps him out then lies about the reasoning.

Sorry, I don't buy it. The injury could have stiffen up on him during half time. But I don't believe for a minute that Ben asked not to be put in and then Tomlin lied about it. Makes no sense. I think Tomlin kept him out because he knew he had NE coming up and they were leading (barely) in the 3rd Qtr. After what he said last year about meeting NE in the AFCC game it makes a lot of sense.

Since 2011 road teams that are 10plus point favourites are 60-11 to at least win. Mike Tomlin coached teams have 4 of the 11 losses.

That is truly embarrassing, and speaks volumes.

to be clear, you think Ben could have came in but chose not to to see dobbs fail? I am lost in your thought process

I stand by calling him an imbecile. I have never heard anything intelligent come out of his mouth other than phony excuses, bullshit and word of the day phrases that come out making him look like an idiot. He continues to make the same mistakes over and over and over again and that is truly the mark of a stupid man. He is a phony and a bullshitter who was lucky to bullshit the Rooneys in his interviews but I cannot think of a less competent coach and it i a shame we wasted all these years of Ben's prime for him having to cover for his **** coach instead of having a competent coach help him won many many more championships in this watered down NFL when there were many for the taking instead the inferior Pats with superior coaching took them

What are we arguing about? We are up there with the Saints and Chiefs in Pro Bowl votes and we've beaten one team with a winning record. We just lost to a team with two wins. This is as good as it gets with Tomlin. We suck. Tomlin sucks.

Wow, that pretty much says it all.

I'm in the fire that asshat Tomlin club! That was a joke.
