Using Brown to return punts give the team a better chance of winning the game. I believe that's the reason they play.

It isn't unique to use a position player to do this. The Cardinals used Patrick Peterson to return punts and even had him playing offense in the slot.

And the Bruce did manage 10 wins last year.

but i truly can't see how someone could be happy with how tomline has run this franchise. i just can't. we never come out prepared, always play down to the competition, never step on an opponents throat when we have the chance. i ******* hate that cheating prick in new england, but i'm jealous of the way he tries to bury opponents. not saying that i'd want him as a head coach...but his pedigree is far superior imo. I guess the 9 playoff appearances in 15 years were a mirage but then you choose to throw in the bad years before Ben when Cowher completely retooled the team. Tomlin misses the playoffs 43% of the time WITH Ben, that is sad and a direct indictment of his lack of coaching acumen.

Bradshaw never went 4 years without winning a playoff game but then you do like to LIE when you are getting beat.
